Tried it, doesn't work. This is more a poem for honor and homage than love.

And Phil, no you do not.

I´m not really good at judging poems but this one sounds really nice.

You did a good job, Grey. I hope you´ll see this girl sometime again in the future when college has ended for you.

It's actually about a person I know, I wrote it as an homage to her because after this semester of college I probably wouldn't see her again. But while she was here, she was one of my best friends.

That's a very nice poem. I liked it.

BTW, who was it about? I kinda thought it suggested Sally Acorn, myself.

Let's give this another shot:

"The Girl I Loved for Just One Day"

There was a girl I loved for just one day,
Her hair was chestnut, deep and brown.
She wore it in a high, tight bun,
But treated others when it was down.

I was taken back by her noble charm,
Her wit encased my heart of glass.
She loved just like a mother would,
But wasn't afraid to call me an ass.

Her face, expressed as only art,
With eyes that shone like a silvery moon,
Encapsulated a range of emotion,
'Hind steel-rimmed specs of crooked tune.

Her figure, as only woman's could,
Symbolized genius design of maternity,
With ample breast and health of hip,
Her power to birth could serve eternity.

Never fake, her opinions bold,
Her beliefs she stood by with honor immense.
Arguing with her was spiritual bliss,
Her exchanges with me were always intense.

With ability unmatched, in sight and wit,
Her writing stretched so far beyond mine,
And when she opened her mouth to sing,
T'was there her natural talent was fine.

Enamored I was with this paragon,
Of strength, of body, of spirit, I was smitten.
But alas, I would love her for just one day,
For her marriage pact was already written.
