Bottom.

It's what's for dinner. It's how it should be.

Mines is at the bottom; I tried a few other ways before, but didn't like how it turned out. So, I just use it the default way, I guess.

Bottom. 3 high, 7 wide for QuickLaunch.

So yea, 21 icons in there. Desktop has a few icons and that's it.

Bottom on all of my windows machines.

My dock is bottom middle of my OS X machine.

Have tried dock and taskbar in different locations, like it where it is though.

Mine is at the bottom... I've never tried it anywhere else. The top would be rather annoying, I imagine. I should try one of the sides, see how it works.

Right. It's awesome. I have 16 quicklaunch icons, the system tray, and room for like 50 windows (none of that grouping shit kthx). I use Desktop Gadgets for a clock to save even more space; check the screenshot. (And the obligatory desktop shot to go with it. )

I have it on the bottom which is the default of course. I never bothered moving it because I'm used to having the taskbar at the bottom.

Top. That's where the panel was in Linux by default once, and I ended up liking it. I tried right, but it caused many issues and a lot of programs were appearing partially off-screen, etc., and left gave me the same problem. And I also turned off 'grouping'... it bugs the hell out of me too, since I tend to have a lot of windows open and I don't want to sort through menus to get them.

I have it to the right. Makes it easier when you have several windows open at the same time. I had actually forgotten why I put it up there in the first place, but your post, Mr. ATW, reminded me.

Now I'm to used to having it that way to ever want to change.

Bottom. It's just convenient to be able to simply drop my eyes to see what's going on.

No taskbar for me, but my dock is at the left of the screen.

My taskbar is at the bottom. I have it on auto-hide as well.

I'm running OS X here. My dock is at the bottom center of the screen.

On my XP machine at work, the taskbar is in the default bottom position. It seems to work fine for me there, and I've never felt like trying to move it around to see what difference it might make.

Isnt that what I put "Other (For obscure positions...)" for?

Itīs on the bottom left side so I donīt know how to vote for that.

I just take the bottom one, then.
