Riku, I think YD was talking about Ansem's layout, not yours.
Your's is fine. |

This thread still stretches for me. And I'm guessing it's Ansem, since I didn't notice any stretch until he posted with his layout... |

It's, umm... Christmas.
I fixed it. Maybe the stretch is from your browser? Maybe Ansem's is stretching. |

The strech is my fault, because I didn't put any line breaks into the code I had there for riku to copy, so it would be easier for him. sorry. |

It stretches for me, ugh.

Nothing stretches for me, I'm on 1024x768.
Looking very nice, Riku. |

Not too bad. But it stretches for me, and I'm on 1280x1024 resolution. It probably stretches the crap out of lower resolutions...
Hmm... viewing the source, it says you have cellpadding=" at the end of your 2nd <table> tag. You either need to define a value, or remove it. You also have an extra <td> tag in there, with a BG color defined. It can go into the previous <td> tag.
Try this code, and see if you like how it looks...
Header:
<table border="0" width="100%" height="100%" background="http://lagrangeduweb.free.fr/wallpapers/bowser.jpg"><tr><td><table border="8" width="100%" cellpadding="5"><tr><td width="50%" align="center" bgcolor="000000"><center>
Signature:
join my board and stay active. <a href=http://superkoopa.su.funpic.org>http://superkoopa.su.funpic.org</a></center></td></tr></table></td></tr></table>

I got it to work! Oh and I know it looks stupid, but it was the best I could come up with. |

No they don't. Nothing will happen if they're "left open". |

Umm...I tried that and look.
Danielle edit: Layout removed so that tables aren't borked. Use some common sense please. |

EDIT: Try putting htis code into your layout, Riku.
Header:
<table border="0" width="100%" height="100%" background="http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/MarioMaster2654/xmas2green.jpg"><tr><Td><br><br><table border="8" width="100%" cellpadding="><tr><td width="50%" valign="middle"><td bgcolor="660808"><center><br>
Signature:
<br></center></td></tr></table><br><br></td></tr></table>
Oh, and make sure that when you copy the code, there are no line breaks in the header or signature. That's what causes the big spaces above and below your post.
It should come out somehting like this:

My mom said that you might be able to come over to my house next week and if you would like I could help you make one. |

View page source of someone with a layout similar to yours, that also has a background. Look at the source and see how they got the background in. Follow their example with the background of your choice, and mess with it until it works.
VOILA

I'm not joking. I never close TD's, TR's, and IMG tags. I've never had problems when I don't... so, yeah. |
