Tile Molester can import images, and does so very well.

TM is the best, it's worth installing JRE.

Now that I got JRE running on the Lappy, I must say that TM is not nearly as slow-handling as it was on the Compy. Loading time, window resizing...

Er, what? Just because a program is written in certain language does not make it useless.

Besides, from what I've seen Tile Molester has one of the best bitmap importing features of all the tile editors that I've seen. (i.e. it actually does a half decent job)

I wouldn't call it newer or better, but try Tile Layer Pro. It can do that.

Hello again, folks!
I'm used to YY-CHR, but import bitmaps to ROMs isn't working all right anymore. Can you please give me some tips to newer/better Tile editors?

Glad to be back
