Hm... only alternate way I could think of is Tornado/any attack, but the problem is getting Tornado off in the first place.

Retreat counts as Slain. Go figure.

I'll have to see if I can find another one.

hey, I'm just suggesting the only things that come to mind as being possible. =/ Just about every enemy I've ever seen in any game I've played that's been immune to one form of stop is immune to all methods of halting - Paralysis, Binding, Stop, Stun, none of it works on most of them. That's why I suggested the all-out attacking...

But why's it say you defeated one?

However, there's a catch:

First off, you don't know when they guy is going to appear...unless you're playing on an emulator and you have the ability to back up (it works then). He ALWAYS casts Toad-All first. So getting around that would be Ribbon I think.

Next, you have to deal with the fact that you're going to have to inflict damage on him before he runs. He can retreat as fast as he casts Toad-All. My guess is that's where chucking Silver/Gold Hourglasses at him works. I'm not entirely sure if it would work though.

Then it'd be a matter of damaging him. Tellah isn't in this, Rydia or Palom would be the two to cast Meteo and Rydia for Bahamut, of course.

Like I said, if anyone kills it...feel free to let us know. It was hard enough just trying to find it. If you find a way to do it flawlessly...well...look at the drops. Golden Apple wouldn't be a bad thing to have at +100HP permanent.

Second pic, Resistance list, to the right of Petrify. Death.

Oops.

Alright, then, I'd try Meteo or Bahamut from Rydia and Tellah (if he ever goes above 90 MP...), give Cecil the Defender sword (strongest non-Holy weapon he has, I think), Kain gets Dragon Lance and Jump... there's no way to stop him AFAIK; Paralyze and Stop were the same as far as resistance was concerned, I think, but maybe everything I saw just resisted both. Just gotta kill before he runs, and find an item that prevents Frog; I know the Ruby Ring protects against Pig...

Yikes, can't Odin instant kill him in this game? (Gawd, its been way to long since I've played FF4 properly) If he is super buff, he is probably not resistant to death.

Uhhh, I guess the defence might be a little to much to beat out physically with Kain/Edge/Cecil?

I think I forgot to mention that it's hard just to even get a chance to ATTACK him. He always gets first shot and it's Toad-all. You're lucky to get your mages to try and attack it before he gets a shot against you and it does a grand total of -1- damage per hit...least when I did it.

Yeeeaaa...

If someone wants to tell me how to kill this fucker without him retreating, lemme know. I have a theory that he may be non-resistant to STOP/SLOW so it may give a use for chucking hourglasses at him.

... Ok... that came out of no where...

Yeah, romming up tonight then I guess. To bad I can't ask for a rom request, but if its brand new, it'll pop up after a google search and 50 sites later.

(or I'll remember a good rom site that actually works today ._.)

If you missed the announce a long while back, it'll be 3D.

Why? I have no clue.

Adamant: Yea, it is. Considering I'm 8 hours in and I've got the final set of character now and I'm heading towards Land of Summons without a death yet, it's pretty damn easy.

However, there's always catch with that. The extras. Much like FF1 was insanely easy, the extras made it to where you needed to have your levels high up there (at least, for some of them like Shinryuu). There's supposedly -2- extra dungeons. One deals with Yang, Tellah, Palom, Parom, and Edward (HEY A USE FOR THE TWINS AT LEVEL 60). Another is after you beat the game with -all- of the characters, not just the front 5, the back 5 as well...that unlocks a '50 floor dungeon of hell' apparently.

I can't back the dungeons yet, but I know Colin and I are probably going to go for it for what we have out now.

I heard a lot of horror stories about this game's DoS-like difficulity (insanely easy, in other words), can anyone who've actually played the game back them up?

If Square is to keep butchering their classics like this, I'm not going to touch them, no matter how much bonus material they add. If I buy FF4, it's because I want FF4, not a worthless FF4 bastardization and some new material.

Let's just hope they keep FF3's difficulity level somewhat near the original.

I´m interested in getting both FF3 DS and FFVI GBA.

I like that they´ve re-made FF3 to 3d and FFVI is a good game.

"That's the shot I showed from FF4A...the ROM...the one I have on my computer?

Hello?"

I. Freakin'. KNOW.

Looks like V and possibly VI could both come out next year. Even though the GBA's slowly fading away, people can just pick them up for the DS.

Oh yeah... don't forget FF3 for the DS. So yeah. Square Enix is in a good mood.

I'd be interested in getting V and VI... Shame I have little money.
