Lately I've been on a guys' Levi's kick. Women's pants sizes have irritated me for a while because they're ridiculously arbitrary (depending on the brand and cut, I'm anywhere from 6 to 13) and because my lower body contours have become unusual enough to make it annoying to find a silhouette that works well for me. Pants will commonly gap in the back because they're meant for a butt curve that I don't have, or they'll fit my hips and low waist but be too small for my ogre thighs. And then there's the issue of finding a rise that is neither stupidly high or almost indecently low. So I thought I would go try on some carpenter pants in the guys' department, and they actually worked well. They sit a couple of inches below my navel, which is just about perfect, and they don't gap or get annoyingly tight anywhere. They have nice basic styling and a crapload of nifty pockets. The ease in the pants is more than enough to accommodate my non-manly hip curve.
And next time I wanted to buy pants, I just had to go look for two magic numbers. Granted, there are some manufacturers whose pants for females do not suck (I love my charcoal gray Dockers), but I think I'll be sticking with men's jeans from now on. |

Seems like the point should have been fairly evident.
But if it helps, I will say I buy my pants at Max 10 (not sure if that's a national chain), they're only 10 buck and surprisingly well made, plus they meet all my pants requirements (keeping my legs warm, covering up my underwear). This doesn't change my original point though. |

Just don't get any of those stupid ass ones with the rips already in them. I've been a Lee/Levi guy myself and they've never let me down. Fresno is alright but not as good and I also have a pair of dkny jeans but they don't feel as durable. |

And the point of that comment? Don't post if you can't contribute to the thread.
I've been wearing 2 pairs of pants a lot now, too. And a jacket under my sweatshirt. My friends tell me I look extra puffy, but I don't care. It's cold. |

At least one city in your region will have a restaurant warehouse outlet or supply depot. You can get chef's pants, aprons, and jackets there. (As well as industrial strength cheese graters and the like.) |

..Except, they're pants for his WORK, guys. I don't think he can go around naked at work. I hope. |

I tried going naked once, but I'm just too used to having a shirt on. It felt weird. |

I never sit around in my underwear... I prefer wearing them underneath a pair of my mesh shorts, or dickies work shorts.
If I could, I'd go naked... But every 5 minutes I get someone barging into my room. |

Well, I didnīt exactly know how do describe it.
I agree that itīs quite comfortable to sit in just your underwear but I donīt do it that often. |

With my knowledge on the subject matter, I'd say go without them, I mean, they just get in the way, and all. But if that's not an option, go Dickes, comfy, durable, and stylin' (well not really). What more could I say.

Pants? Keh. I sit around in my boxers whenever possible. |

There is only one clear solution. Clean the house naked. Or at least sans pants. |

If you can wear them at work, get actual chef pants, more than likely, a black pair. They're very strong and won't wear out on you for a while. You might have to order them online, or check around, some areas have actual stores that sell them. If you can find a store that sells nurse/doctor pants, they'll have chef pants too. |

Oh... well that's definitely a cause for tearing pants.
Maybe you could purchase one of those knee pad type things for when you have to clean floors? That way you could avoid tears altogether. And what Taryn said.. although I understand not having the time for that. It's quite time consuming to air dry pants, and if you have to get to work, you really have no choice. |

If I had the planning and foresight (and wasn't lazy) I suppose I could avoid using the dryer. But as for the RIGHT knee wearing out it's b/c that's the knee I support myself when I'm cleaning the floor (which has some nasty grout in between the tiles, I've cut myself on it before). |
