Adding to the fact that the timer's in this, I would assume it's more of a 'do it as fast as you can' thing. In playing through it once, it lets you have the capacity to choose what upgrades you want at any time based on how the story usually goes. Say the v0.8 jetpack? You can skip it to get 2.0 later. |

Yeah, that's a neat find. I'll definitely need practice on it, though.

This was an interesting find today while I was at RadioShack. Out of boredom, I wondered if there was any decent vids put in recently at the uploader for Cave Story. Well, I happened across a huge WMV file that was mirror on YouTube here.
It's a Boss Rush mode. It seems to be only available, thus far, in the uploader and only meant for the Japan version, which likely means that this was probably a fan-made patch. However, it does allow you to attack all the bosses one after another. It exists at the Doukutsu uploader. I believe that it's for the Japan version via this file. I'm not sure if I missed the update to this or what, but I didn't hear anyone talking about it over here, at least. |
