Originally posted by Sweet Kassy MolassyOriginally posted by HyperHacker There's no such thing as bottomless pits! It's just, uh... the pits all have spikes at the bottom. Yoshi can walk on spikes, but when Mario falls in while riding him, he bounces off and lands on the spikes himself. Yeah, that explains it. |

Yoshi looks a bit stunned there. But clouds cushion one's fall, right? RIGHT?
(Well, you can think that.) |

If Yoshi wants to stay with Mario so bad, why does he run away with pain? Answer that riddle and tell me if this picture is authentic. |

That at least he has a meaning to die because he's evil |

I remember seeing another picture like this one. It was a Japanese comic and it was a side-view where Mario, riding Yoshi, jumps across a gap, and then jumps off Yoshi, to which Yoshi goes "!!!", and then the remaining panels show (slightly more anthropomorphic) Yoshi saying things in Japanese while he continues falling with walls on either side of him.
Yeah, I wonder what's going through the paratroopa's mind. |

Yoshi was an animal with no thought, and a wimp >.>, in Super Mario World. He didn't care what happened to him, as long as he was away from the enemy then falling down a cliff was okay. Then yoshi became a hero in Yoshi's Island, he went into the hero books! Until someone decided to play super mario world again... |

Yoshi gets reborn into eggs, so wouldn't he be dying?
Perhaps he's decended from the Phoenix, like birds from dinosaurs, but in reverse! |

He must not be poor to give me 99 lives in Super Mario 64. That stingy bastard is holding out on me. |

Yeah, but only a handful of them are meaningful, and he just started repeating "Screw Flanders" after awhile. |

Or so we all hope.
Yoshi's eyes tell a million words. |

It's OK, you don't take damage from falling in SMW! Yoshi just hits the ground and wanders off. |

I remember using that technique to reach the secret exit of the Cheese Bridge level. That way, I would avoid triggering the normal exit goal. I regret nothing.
Originally posted by Cruel Justice Agreed. That was the only other level where I always ditched Yoshi. I do that to jump over the tall pipe and avoid going through all the trouble of getting the portable springboard. |
