Well, basically any layout can be squeezed to only two lines of HTML.
But as I was saying, it might be better for me to try to write HTML just with a simple notepad-like program. Dreamweaver is great for first-timers who know only a little of HTML. It's very informative and user-friendly.

By two lines I mean just a start tag and an end tag.

I doubt it's cross-platform.
Actually, you're right. However, there are quite a few nice text editors for Mac as well, from what I've seen on download.com.

What do you use then? I'd love to see a better/equal program than Dreamweaver.

Notepad2 + Browser for testing. (Firefox/Opera/IE etc)
The layout I am using now was made in those programs

Remind me never to use Dreamweaver.

Try this:

Tiling background... [thumbs up]

Now if only you really took advantage of CSS usage and skimmed the whole thing down a peg or two by using two seperate images and you'd be set for it looking...well tolerable.

Can't say I haven't had worse back in the day though. Man did those suck.

My point was correcting you and informing you that we have post previews and layout displays in profiles for a reason.

Since I'm not continuing this anymore, you may freely edit it. Hope you'll improve it to look better.

Yah, I would. But I'm no better than you.

perhaps he should've edited it with the layout then. besides that we have post previews and profiles for testing.

What the hell was the point of that?

I did it beacause I wanted to show everyone who was curious. Excuse me not.

EDIT: USELESS BULLSHIT

I thought he was seeing how it would stretch?
Anyhow, there a few things I would personally do to make that layout better. You should make the actual post table stand out more-- with a set of borders or something... also, you should give yourself adequate margins to keep text out of the bottom part, with the trees and hills, because it becomes more difficult to read with all that in the background. The background image does look nice, though.

Try it, because I'm not entirely sure if long posts work :X
But seriously, making layouts is very fun.
