Well that's to be expected if he just got his X360. If not, then... :-/ I was the same with PS2, I got it, played it for a few days, then went back to my year-old Gamecube. My brother used it a lot though, so it wasn't a waste.
Nintendo certainly seemed to fall short on shipping to Canada. I didn't see any at all until the end of January, and my mom says she still hasn't. |

I went over to my best friend's house yesterday and he was playing X-box 360. I asked him how he liked his PS3. He told me he hadn't turned it on in three weeks. |

It's a popular system, what can you say?
I think the PS3 actually outsold the Wii by a couple of units in Canada during the Christmas season, but that was only because Nintendo didn't ship enough units to Canada to meet up with demand. |

I still can't find a Wii anywhere.
Which is crazy. I live in Adelaide of all places....things don't get sold out here! |

Our local Best Buy had at least 3 PS3's when we were there on Saturday. Around here, getting a Wii still requires effort, and our friends already have one, so we've just been mooching off theirs. Wii Wario Ware is fun, but I'm not about to camp out for it just so I can have it at my own place. I have Twilight Princess for the GameCube, and that works for me. If I ever want to play the Wii version, our friends have it. |

It is nothing like that here. Both Wiis and PS3s have been entirely sold out within miles from day one.
Then again, no one stocks Resident Evil 4 version of all things! Not even for rental-only or store demonstration use. In fact, it makes me want to cry. For just a single moment to simply watch that being played... |

This makes me want to get one even more, now...
But as usual, I have no way to get around. I can't really bother anyone anymore, but I guess I could try asking... Congratulations on getting one, though |

Originally posted by FreeDOS + HA! Price drops are so far away for the Wii. Sony is already considering a price drop for the PS3, Microsoft will give the 360 a price drop by the end of the year, and the Wii may drop sometime after that. |

The second one is in use, and isn't even technically mine, so no you can't have it
However, it might not be so bad if you wait long enough for a price drop !! |

Why exactly do you have two? Have you used the second yet? Can I have it? |

I would be more than willing to take one of those Wiis off your hands and relieve your guilty feelings. I hate to see you feeling guilty. |

Two? What a disgrace.
You should have saved one for the less fortunate (and by that I mean the ones who can't wake up super-early to wait for one). |

I feel guilty now for having two Wiis Both in December.
But yeah, it's surprisingly easy to find PS3s. With the short stock, you'd think that PS3s would be impossible to find, but nope, almost every store has plenty of them; people aren't buying. |

I should be able to find some controllers somewhere... this is being typed on my Wii and i got to run! I'll ask more questions tomorrow
Edit: oh yea that qoute came from my parents as they were sure noone was going to camp out (and there were as i said). one last question, sometimes my zoom goes in farther how do i control that? |

The ratio of Wii sales to PS3's in Japan is 3:1.
Also, there's a good article out there about EA's stance on the market. They displayed gigantic financial losses, because of a handful of their PS3 releases, and are now extremely interested in the Wii and its potential. Sometimes I look at it this way, it was only a matter of time. The PSX took down the N64, the PS2 did the same to the Gamecube. It was only a matter of time before Nintendo got their revenge. Just bringing this up since people before me already mentioned the PS3, so blame them. |

I picked up a third wiimote last week or so. They didn't have any in my Wal-Mart, but I had to take a long drive so I hit another. There are certain towns in which you can usually find things like that whenever because the demographic isn't right for that sort of thing. That's how I got my ps3 on release night w/o waiting in any sort of line. (Easiest $500 I ever made.)
SNT: I'd recommend camping your Wal-Marts on Monday nights (when they get in fresh shipments of electronics and toys and whatnot.) If that's not possible for you and you have trouble finding one, I'll send you the next one I find for cost plus the $5 or whatever that priority mail costs. |
