That's awesome, but far too expensive.

One of the people on our floor has a keyboard like this. I'm not sure if it's this exact one, but the LCD display is ringing bells to me. He plays WoW a lot, and he was pretty impressed when it showed him stats. I think maybe f.e.a.r. was showing some stats too, but I don't remember.

Probably the only feature that would be useful to me is the backlit keys, and only if I could turn them on and off.

A friend of mine has this keyboard. It's pretty neat, but for this price? :\ I'm not too sure:

First, the people who are geeky enough who would actually buy this keyboard probably wouldn't need backlit keys. I'm pretty sure that they could type blind anyway. It still looks neat in the dark, though, but I'm sure the "wow"-effect lasts only for a month or two, after that it's nothing special anymore.
Then, the LCD screen. It's a cool idea, but do you really need that? When I'm at my PC, I'm constantly staring at my monitor(s) anyways, so why shouldn't I display whatever I'd like to display on those, or something else that is around? For example, I see what time it is if I move my head 2 centimeters to the right anyways, because then I'm seeing my (quite bright) alarm clock, so I don't need another clock in my keyboard.

There may be some good points with it, like the switchable Windows key or the USB hub, but I don't know how often I'd actually use this. For myself, this keyboard would be cool if I had a lot of money, but for 75€ / $80 / whatever it costs in your region of choice.. nah, it's not worth it.

I like my 2 year old ~$15 keyboard which has a broken case, but is fully functional.

Probably not, I'd just go with a standard $10 keyboard myself. Hey, these things are too suspectible to damage (especially liquid) for me to shell out massive amounts of money on them.

Probably not new but...wow?

I would wonder if that's really worth an 80 dollar price tag.
