Same for me, if not even more.

I'd love to meet some of the people here but not at that cost

I say we start a site for donations to a one-legged quadriplegic African kid named Tod. If we get busted, we can blame it on some banned member...

Seriously though, I would be interested in something like this, but unless it was within walking distance of my house, it's doubtful I'd go...

Maybe we should have an extended planning period for this thing. Say that instead of this summer we should plan for 2010 or something similar.

However, I'm going to be at PAX this summer. Maybe some Yankeroos and Canuckis would be interested in joining me.

Sounds like a plan. I'd love to have some beers with Nick. As long as it's not watery piss like Heineken or something =P

Mind if I drink rum & cokes?

Bah!
But hey, if you prefer inferior alcoholic beverages, it's your thing =P

(Actually, I like rum. And a party's not a party without a bottle of Jagermeister or Barenjager.)

Usually if I do 'alcohol x' and 'carbonated beverage y' I go Jager and root beer. Don't knock it until you try it =P

Since we're doing it here, those are both house rules.

Also, I'm bad at drinking quickly. If I drink too quickly, I have to puke and rally.

I'll crush you at flipacup, though.

Yup. It is where you drink 100 shots of strong beer. I use Okocim Mocne because a restraunt near my place sold their over stock at a buck a beer. It was pretty sweet.

Denmark and Sweden is doable (I shouldn't have to mention that Norway is highly doable..), anything else, you can pretty much forget about it. And it has to be worth it for me to shell out the cash anyway. And that depends on who shows up, of course, and if I feel like it.

If we schedule it to the beginning of August, I might combine it with a trip to Wacken (heavy metal festival in Germany.)

Though, to be a bit more serious, I think it is very unlikely for me to show up at something like this. I don't want to pay for something I don't know is going to be fun.

But I like the idea.

*edit: Ziff.. mocnecentury-what? Does it involve drinking?

Nick, if we ever meet you do realize that we're going to have to play mocnecentury?

While I could probably attend a convention in Europe (at least in Denmark), the amount of people that would show up for one probably wouldn't be high enough to be worth it.

Give me half a year or so, and I'll be in the US, though.

Yeah... Not gonna happen, seeing as I can't fly alone, nor do I have the money to do so (bank is strictly for college). That is, unless by some stroke of dumb luck you guys end up holding the convention here in Puerto Rico.

Hey, that might not be such a bad idea after all. Come to Puerto Rico!

Though if you don't, I'll happily wait for AcmlmExpo Summer '12

And in regards to shadic's post above mine:
Disneyland is <30 minutes from my house, so I really want to try and make that happen. No guarantees, but it would be pretty sweet eh?
