The trouble with using (I assume illegal) drugs as a feel-good trigger is that one develops a tolerance, and then it just goes downhill from there. Eventually one must suffer through quitting and withdrawal before the mind and/or body goes to waste.
Reminds me... I made a few drunk posts last night, but it was also my last night of drinking for the next 3 years, and I didn't expect to be near a computer at the time |

Originally posted by Xkeeper I'll admit my post dances around the subject, but the points I get across are actually useful suggestions. The point to not depend on caffein does help with having more daily energy, as does eating healthy, and as far as I can tell from his posts, he's made no attempt to bring up the negatives of having a dog. It might be dorky as hell, but it's better then posting it in a flat, monotone sort of way that could just be seen as another anonymous post. So I'll be more direct with this post: so what if you don't feel like doing the little things? It doesn't mean you can't do 'em. As seen with the post, you were able to motivate yourself to do something, and as seen by the length of it, once you started you had no problem stopping. It's the same exact problem as with starting homework. You procrastinate like hell, but finishing it once started doesn't feel that hard at all. Also, posting that you wish you were on drugs might very well be an indication that something's wrong. Just not you being on drugs. All for $9.95. |

I get this occasionally, sleep tends to cure it. It's like I have energy and I want to do something, but I don't feel like doing any of the things I consider doing. So I just sit there for maybe half an hour wondering what I should do. It's weird.
I probably don't get out enough lately since it's generally anywhere from -5 to -35°C and the Earth's surface for miles around is one big fucking skating rink (and I don't have any skates ) because they won't fucking scrape/salt the roads and aaaarrrgghhh. I do like to just get out and walk around for no real reason, but that's difficult to do right now. I have been eating less lately though, maybe that's it... |

S&T: Perhaps you have SADS. I would recommend getting out for a walk (Or eat food rich in Vitamin D since the sun cannot shine effectively through winter coats and heavy layering to deliver it to you), especially if you do not go out alot. |

Metal Knuckles' post fails so badly I'm tempted to delete it.
Try not to be so stupid next time. That goes for everyone else, too. |

Invite your parents on the walk with you. Call them a fatty boom-bah if you can get away with such sass.
If you can't, uh.. don't |

I've been off of caffeine for a month now and it has helped my energy level immensely. Caffeine actually harms you more than it helps. As far as not wanting to do anything...get yourself a big project to do. |

So I went to go for that run I wanted to do but my mother thinks I'm on drugs because I have been acting weird lately and doesn't want me leaving. Little does she know, I wish I was on drugs... |

Get a life and get laid! All with my book!
"Convert Your Wasted Time Into Thinking Time In 5 Seconds!!!" In it, it gives you all the instructions you need, such as mentioning to your parents that you don't want a dog, not depending on coffee to stay awake, and also to eat healthier. Five coupons to the local gym are also included! All for the cheap price of $[what's in your pocket]! |

Lemme give you advice if its either an untrained dog or a puppy.
Never EVER leave any electronics or anything of value on the floor or near a wall. ESPECIALLY the corners because it will have a 69.99% chance of being ruined by teeth or other foul way of a dog to ruin stuff. (not that I hate dogs since I prefer them over cats) |

Well I was already going on the walks. It's weird because I as you said, I barely have energy to click a freaking button or play a freaking game, but I gladly get up and go for a walk which clearly takes more energy then both of those. Is there a term for this maybe? I have no energy/interest in doing little easy things, but I will do more straining things gladly...
Ugh. Bad news now. Parents may still get the dog, not this week though. |

First you didnt have the energy to click the "new thread" button, and now youre going on ten minute walks? By Zeus beard I think youre cured! Or getting there at least
Ive been feeling extra lazy lately myself. Since I had surgery on my foot about a week ago Im really limited to what I can do. I was working out like 3-4 times a week before, but now Im doing nothing. Most of my time is spent laying down or sleeping, which Ive been doing more than ever lately. I hate it so much, but theres nothing I can do about it. I have to wait until Im well enough to bounce back. My advice to you is this make an effort to improve yourself. Nothing will change unless you make it change. An energy drink while wondefully delicious isnt something you should rely on, and it sure isnt going to make you thin and fragrant. Make an effort to wash yourself, brush your teeth and put on clean cloths. Im sure if you did this and refreshed yourself youd start feeling ALOT better. As for the girls you were on to something when you said you didnt like fat girls. The same holds true for them. Would YOU find a fat smelly girl with yellow teeth attractive, no you wouldnt. So how can you expect them to? Not only but say they DID look past your appearance then what they have is a lazy person with no will to do anything. Who would want that? Make the effort and change yourself for the better. I know you can do it. |

Aww, I like puppydogs.
Maybe you can take the dog for a walk with you. Dogs need exercise too and your parents will probably be happy that you are doing the right thing. You will have some trouble for a little bit though while you train the dog to walk fast along with you and not sniff or wee on every lamp post and bush he comes across... |

Only reason I would call one of those dogs a "kick drop" dog is because I would want to kick it until it dropped dead.
Seriously I'm not a fan of dogs, and those dogs are the worst. |

Heh Just hope and pray it ain't a "Kick-drop" dog y'know like chihuahuas and everythin. They destroy stuff and you still love 'em because their cuteness induces infatuation between them. Trust me I know I have a Chihuahua Pomerainian (spelling?) mix I call a Chomerainian and she has destroyed memory cards and almost my DK 64 game and I still love her
Edit: sorry for late post didn't see the edit |

Just walking and eating well? ...
I'll try it. Starting tonight, I'll go for a nice long walk/run, accompanied by my mp3 player of course. You have no idea how much I thank you guys for giving me suggestions to help out with this problem But uh-oh... Parents just got back. The dog they were 'looking' at, seems to be here. They're talking out there and every other word is dog. Great. EDIT: Nevermind. Coasts clear. They didn't get the dog. Thank the gods... |

You said you want to lose weight? Well, here's a good way to start, it helps with feeling a little depressed too...
Go for a walk. Every day if you can, for at least half an hour. Fast. Get your heart rate up, and keep it up over at least the half hour. It will help you clear your head while you're walking, and it's aerobic exercise, so your body burns oxygen and stored fat to keep going while you do it, so it should help you lose weight. It should also make you feel better because you're up and moving, getting fitter, and if you keep it up you should notice changes that will make you feel better about yourself too. I lost 68.34lbs mostly through eating well and walking... And yeah, it made me feel a lot better. |

setz is right, diet probably has something to do with it. A balanced diet keeps both the mind and body in good shape. However, I think another factor may be your free time. I know that whenever I end up with too much time on my hands and I do a lot of idle, time-wasting thinking, it often turns up negative thinking and sets a bad tone for my mood for a period of time. That's why a good job/project to take up a lot of spare time and give you something to accomplish might be good for you. Having a linear direction and purpose, even for a short period of time, can only be good for you in my opinion. |

Brought from my edit:
"Actually yes. I have been depressed lately, as I'm noticing that I may not have a chance with the 'ladytypes' ever. I feel like a young Xk I have been telling myself I'm going to lose weight (250 lbs.) and clean up my hygiene and even gain some muscle and try my hand at bullying before leaving High School. It's not like bullying is something good, I just want to give a few of the dicks some of their own medicine I got throughout my school-life. I can be a swell guy, but women just don't give me a chance and are shallow jerks. Sure I may have acne across my hair line and sure I may have discolored teeth and be fat, but why I can't a woman just like me for who I am? Maybe I should face the facts though. I don't like overweight women that much, so maybe it's right that they feel the same way onto me. Bah. This may very well be the reason I'm so lazy. I have so much on my mind I don't have the energy to do anything else... " Actually, I have been eating, but not as much as normal. I normally pig out and eat ALOT. I eat about half of what I'm handed at lunch now, and never more then one plate of dinner. I actually have been walking believe it or not...I never get out, but for the past week, almost every night I have walked a good 10 minute walk to the near gas station and gotten an energy drink and came back home. I started doing it because I wasn't using the PC because I was bored or my sister wanted on. Maybe I'll go for a longer walk tonight and go somewhere else, it seems that my body almost...WANTS to. EDIT: I say 'actually' alot |
