It's in the first post I made.
optomon and I are working on the sceen layouts for each level now. This hack is actually getting pretty close to a release.

Humble question, if I may: what is this level supposed to be? Some kind of Egyptian pyramid?

So I got cracking on the level editing portion of the hack a little bit. I'm mostly done with level 1, but there's still some room for improvement. The part I am totally happy with though is the middle section.

LOL It does look bad, glad you scrapped it Doc. That background wall is certainly an improvement for level 1. Keep working on the level.

Yeah, I'm still playing around with options for the platforms' colors. I was more just showing off the new artwork for the level.

Probably something more like this

I like how level 1 looks too, I also like how you designed the item window.

The purple is just the palette that we replaced the blue palette with. It looks good with a lot of the enemies.

That is an amazing title screen! That seems like it took a long while to do...

Also, very creative level design, especially in level 5 for incorporating the bookshelves, etc.

Looking good as always, Dr. Mario!

I like those granite block-like energy meters; they fit in well with the metallic font.

And the new border for the sub-weapon fits great with the holy water. Any reason why that holy water is now purple?

WOO! Triple post, but anyways, I got some awesome updates to share. First things first, here's a new item! This should be something nice to see for anyone who thinks Castlevania is kind of hard. We replaced the stopwatch with the laurels from CV2. When you use them you become invincible for a short period of time. Here they are in action:

A laurel, freshly busted out of a candle

Me using a laurel and standing inside of the merman on the right (normally that would hurt you)

Another thing that needs to be shown off is the new boss fight with Death:

He's significantly larger (He's twice as tall as the main character).

Other updates that optomon has made are some more updated sound effects, and replacing the demos (when you wait a while on the title screen) with music during the title screen.

Other things I'm working on: More sprites and I started chipping away at level design. I also updated the heads up display at the top of the screen (as shown in the laurel pics).

Sorry for the double post

But there's the money shot.

Release date = When it's done
Beta Tester screenings = When it's done
Demos = no

Don't worry. It will probably be out by the summer, but I'd even take that with a grain of salt. This project (in the form it's in, not even counting the other various CV hacks that turned into this) is almost 11 months old now, so you have to be patient for this one.
