Unfortunately, I ordered it online AND I completely forgot where 
A quick update on my situation: When I called, I was directed to their website and fill out a form... which means I wasted my time waiting for the next day to come.... Which means I'll probably have to wait for the next business day to come.. I'm not enjoying using this old CRT monitor. I feel like my eyes are being assaulted by evil rays |

Yep, sounds like a fuse blew or something. FYI, most electronics stores will keep your info on file for things like monitors, so you can return them even without the receipt. |

A monitor did that at school. I think it's either a loose power connection, or you need to turn it off, then back on again. That fixed the one at school.
If I knew more, though, I'd probably know this as something that happens for a reason--currently I only know ways to try to fix it. |

yeah, sounds like some overload protection circuit is being tripped or soemthing. Also, this reminded me of the NES. |

Oh, in that case I don't know what it is, sorry. I was thinking maybe your lcd stopped liking your resolution, but if it's still turning on and of even while there's no feed, then something probably is shorting out or something. You could try leaving it unplugged and letting it sit to rest for a while. When my CRT was wearing out, on two occasions, the monitor would turn on, but the screen itself wouldn't work. In about an hour, it'd start working fine again, but the CRT was 5+ years old, and probably on its last legs. But I dunno if you can wait your problem out like I could. |

Nope. I haven't touched the settings at all. It still turned on and off even after unplugging from the computer. And... I'm almost sure it's VGA. Not using that DVI adapter thingy.. (please excuse my lack of knowledge with peripherals )
Also, I found out that it's actually "Tyris", not "Wyris". I realized that I hadn't checked for its model on google before.. so.. yeah. Edit: Argh, found the warranty fill out sheet. I forgot to send it in  |

Did you change your screen resolution or the refresh rate recently? When you unplug the lcd screen from the computer, does it still turn on and off? Are you using a VGA connection or a digital one?
These are really the only things I can think of. An LCD screen is certainly supposed to last for more than a single year. |

My LCD monitor, made by "Wyris", was just fine, I thought. It gave me no problems at all. When I got up to brush my teeth, the screen decided to turn off. I wondered if I had moved something when I bumped the desk. I also wondered if I even touched the desk.
The whole point of this: My monitor is constantly turning on and off. The green light goes on for three seconds, by the time the screen finally appears, the whole monitor shuts off. And it keeps doing that over and over until I pull the plug. I tried messing with the other buttons, trying to bring up the menu, but I can only bring up the monitor's menu when the screen has been on for atleast a second.. so I can assume the backlighting isn't messed up. I've tried messing with the cords, but it does nothing. I've tried plugging and unplugging quickly, and that does nothing either. And I can't hope for going with the warranty since I've lost the papers and the receipt (I still don't understand how I could've deleted the email!), not to mention it's almost been a year since I've had this thing. Anyone got any suggestions on what else I can do? |
