Was that some thing like 'Kyrill' or something? I heard that 10 people died in Germany, and winds reached 120 mph (or higher). I know this, because we (the UK) also had high winds of 100 mph, with millions of pounds (GBP) of damage -- Lorries blown over, people killed by collapsing walls, trees, etc. Apparently the worst storm since the Great Burns' Day Storm of January 23-4th 1990 in the UK (but not as intense as 'The Great Storm of 1987)... except it hit most of Northern Europe apparently. |

Obviously a ninja pushed that tree over to use it as a ladder. That's the only explanation I can see...
That whole hurricane warning was a cover story. |

If you think that's nuts, it's been snowing here. In California. On the beaches.
But, still, that's a pretty nasty tree to have hit your house. |

I feel sorry for the tree. Did it suffer? |

So I was returning from school today, and saw that the house next to the one I live in in the following state:
More pictures in here. Also, our last three classes today were dropped because of hurricane warning. In the middle of Germany. And that's the first time something like that happens in the whole 10.5 years of school I had here before. Wind speed predictions are around 220km/h. (Highest I've heard of in Europe before was like 160km/h). Discuss. |
