Any software firewalls can be blocking your computer. Make sure they let mIRC through. Failing that, check to see if any filters block IRC services from coming through. |

Yeah, I had it set to connect on a few different ports, and it gave me the same message on all of them.
"Software caused connection abort." Hmm. Do you think that a web filter (like websense) would cause that? |

Try port 6667, IRC servers don't usually operate on port 6669 unless you've read that Wii Cafe is different in this regard. |

I am trying to connect to Wii Cafe's IRC server (irc.wiicafe.com) and mIRC won't connect! It keeps giving this message:
* Connect retry #5 irc.wiicafe.com (6669) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) I don't know what to do!!!! |
