Bleh... we got about 5-6 inches Saturday morning, and it's the first really major snowfall we've had in my area of Vermont. Not incredibly surprising, since Jan./Feb. are usually the worst, but we typically have a few good storms earlier too. We had no snow on Christmas. What's worse, my school hasn't had any snow days yet! Usually we have 3-4 by the end of April, and at least 1 by Christmas...

Heh, the temperature's definitly better than two days ago (or was it three?)

Normaly, I'm okay with the winter's cold. But when it comes out of nowhere... ouch.

And now it's -2C today which is fine winter weather. Not as extreme as 10C or anything like that but I won't be freezing walking from the subway to work, which is all I ask for.

You can't have it both ways, guys.

Isn't the correct term something like "global climate fluctuation"? Since I was pretty sure it could go up and down.

Thats about right...

Here in Florida, we've had the warmest winter in almost a century. Sometimes we had highs around 80°F. Once, once it dropped 24°F in 24 hours (and then 24 more), but that's about it.

It's only ever snowed once where I live, and that was when my mother was a child...

I live on the Norwegian west coast. There practically hasn't been any snow around here all winter. It has just been one long and wet autumn.. Seriously, it's been raining like crazy. It has been raining daily for 79 days now.

It's also been quite windy, every now and then, and combined with rain, I find it quite annoying.

However, having no, or little snow isn't that uncommon around here, simply because of the gulf stream. But I would still say that the weather has been acting up, given the extreme amounts of rain. Also, Bryggen (which probably is the most famous landmark of this town) has actually been flooded a few times, as a result of the ocean rising; some kind of "storm surge".

Also, when I went home for christmas, to Northern Norway, which is where I am from, there was snow on the ground, but on the same day it started raining, and then it was gone. After a few days, it started snowing again, and it sat on the ground for some days, but again, it started raining, and it eventually melted away. That's not particularly normal, usually there would atleast be enough snow to reach well above the ankles.. But that doesn't mean irregularities can occur, of course.

Well, in all fairness, high school was boring and lame and I in no way regret dropping out to pursue a GED. But, this is college! College is something I am actively participating in it to play Smash Bros Melee with friends and party.of my own free will, and paying for myself with the government's money. And I'll be damned if it goes to waste!

There. I fixed it.

But give me a second to go turn on my Arctic Heating that raises the temp of my igloo from -73 to -50. Now if you believe me and think Canada is really like that, I shall come find you and stab you.

I want to live in the warm US

Move further North. It hit -37°C a few days ago here. Only ~-7 today though. Actually warmer than Ontario, crazy enough. (Or that's what Wii says anyway. )

It’s barely snowed at all over here (eastern Kentucky). I thought it used to get a lot colder though… would Global Warming have that much of an effect already? Oh well, at least school was cancelled for the rest of the week because of so many people being sick.

I personally can't stand snow. Actually, it's more the cold weather I don't like, but it only snows when it's cold, so...

I should move to Arizona. Or Texas. Or Florida. Or California.

I love the heat.

I can see where Alastor is coming from though. I personally can't wait for College. Highschool is as boring as hell. At least in college you can pursue more classes you want instead of being forced to take some in highschool. (Of course their are those mandatory classes but it dosen't seem to be as many as you have to take in highschool.)

We only got the edge of the storm everyone else got. Almost 8 inches.

Now, in Montreal 8 inches is nothing. In other places... call out the National Guard.

Snow has made me miss a week's worth of two of my classes, and only a bit less of my other classes. Fuck snow. I want to be educated, damn it!

We had snow early last month, but nothing after that, and it was only a few inches and didn't last long (melted within hours)... it's gotten below freezing a few times lately, though not terribly cold.

Every now and then it just ends up cold like this, but as long as summer's cool too I don't mind Anything to get away from that 110+ heat.
