I share Nick's sentiments concerning the news bit.

I like for the show to end on a high note and not be dragged on and on.

Season three didn't start off so well for me. I liked it, I just wasn't as excited as before. A let down of sorts. Hopefully the rest of the episodes will make up for it.

Its been confirmed in the past it won't be anything like that.

That'd just be, so dumb beyond imaginable.

I felt that they revealed too many things that should have been kept mysterious, and when they did reveal them, they were too silly, or didn't really fit right.

For example, the Others. Supposed to be this bizzare, bloodthirsty pack of vagabonds roaming the island. Now they're a gated island community that has book night.

As for calling it quits, I think that's waaaay better than having the writers sit around and be like, "ok, what can we do on an island today?" and just have some mundane shit air on TV. This means every episode will count for something.

I've still not finished the second season. I have to watch things on DVD because it never occurs to me to sit down and turn the TV on at a certain time every week. Plus the only TV here with a cable hookup is likely to be hijacked for watching American Idol or some other garbage... So I have to get my Lost, Scrubs, and 24 fix on at my old roomie's apartment when he buys the seasons

I'm loving the show so far, though. Apparently they've already dragged it out too far? Seemed to me that this was a story that could be told in three seasons. Hopefully they won't make too many more.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday also.

Makes me happy too, maybe we'll get to see things happen now. I could not stand the last few episodes, because absolutely nothing really happened. It just kept building up to the same thing.

I'm happy they're doing this, as I think it will add to the suspense. We'll know they're actually working towards something instead of just stretching the show out.
