A lot of people tend to have problems with the graphics, mikeyK should've explained it more throughly. Here's a little tutorial I made it's not very good but, it should help you:

1. Go to the sprite tool folder and open up the "sprites folder" like so:

2. Next, look for the .asm file of the sprite you want; we''l use the shyguy.asm one here, just to help you out

Now open it up .

3. Next, scroll down(in some cases you don't) until you find something relating to the graphics (i.e. tilemap, sprite graphics routine, etc.) here we see the shyguy uses "tilemap". Here I highlighted the important thing: the values. As you can see, it uses $84 and $86.

4. Now open up YY-CHR(I don't know how to do it on TLP) and look at the little address bar above the little check mark boxes. This:

This shows the values of each graphics on the left side.

5. Okay, so we got through the hard part. Here's the easy part: Open up the allGFX.bin. Highlight the graphics and you should see, different (hex) numbers appear in the little address bar I told you about. Remember how the .asm file said $84 and $86? Time to use those values Hover the mouse over the GFX until you find $84 and $86. Like so:

We see here that $84 and $86 use the "Koopa turning frame" and the "Koopa being kicked out" GFX. Depending on what GFX you have loaded on to SP4 depends what GFX it uses. So, if you have GFX 02(the one with the spinies) it will use the "spinies being thrown" GFX and the weird X's GFX.

Since you need the cloud GFX just change those values( $84 and $86) to something else.

Whew, that took some typing ^^. I hope this helps you There are more advanced ways of changing the GFX but, it will take a lot of time to type and i'm tired D:

Hello mates, i need some help with the shy guys and snifits sprites from sprite tool. I just started experiencing with the program, and could insert the venus traps and left/right thwomps with no problems, both show very well in the game.
But the shy guys and snifits display the "wrong" gfx.
As you can see in the attachments, the "shy guy" is displaying the gfx of a cloud. I can't overwrite that cloud in shy guy's gfx, because that cloud is the one that appears when fire Mario shoots a fireball on a wall. So, that cloud can't be overwritten. I'd need to know how would i make the shy guy have the gfx of the goomba, for example, since it is the goomba i chose to be "overwritten" by the shyguy (the shyguy "ID" on my spritelist.txt is "0F shyguy_rideable_blue.cfg".
The snifit has a similar problem. Its ID on my sprite list is "10 snift_red.cfg". But, instead of featuring the gfx of the winged goomba (which is #10 on the sprite menu), it has the gfx of a piece of the mountain on the background of that level.
Can someone give some help here? thanks.
