I don’t think I’m going to because some people don’t have the sound track and don’t remember the names . But I might I’m not sure.

Thanks for the idea though,

On-topic...
I was just thinking Dootuz, maybe you could have the official song titles, so that it looks more 'professional', and it'd look better anyway...
Incase you're not aware... they are:
Title Theme (Super Mario Bros - Main Menu)
Opening (Cinema at the very start of the game)
Super Mario 64 Main Theme (Bob-omb Battlefield etc)
Slider (Slides)
Inside the Castle Walls (Castle)
Looping Steps (70-star door with <70 stars)
Dire, Dire Docks (Jolly Roger Bay etc)
Snow Mountain (Cool, Cool Mountain etc)
Haunted House (Big Boo's Haunt)
Merry-Go-Round (Big Boo's Merry-Go-Round)
Cave Dungeon (Hazy Maze Cave etc)
Powerful Mario (Wing/Invisible)
Metallic Mario (Metal Mario, obviously)
File Select (Menu)
Stage Boss (um... Stage Boss)
Koopa's Road (Bowser stages)
Koopa's Theme (Bowser in the Dark World/Fire Sea)
Ultimate Koopa (Last Bowser.... and... now you see where I got my name from if you didn't know)
Ending Demo (the Cinema bit where Mario falls from the sky and Peach is 'rescued'
Staff Roll (Credits)...

But.. it's up to you what you do...

No, actually, the .NET Framework installer is pretty big and takes a good amount of time to download depending on your internet connection, and it does take a while to install after download, even on a decently fast computer. I've done it on multiple computers, so it seems to be a recurring theme. Not that this has anything to do with the topic... [/offtopic]

It’s really easy to make a CMD app in vb. How, I don’t know the coding, but you go to File > new project > then pick console appellation. TheWanderlee and I are working on a 3d level editor (someone please help us in his thread ) and we might stop doing this and just include it in there. I’m not sure yet, but I have a lot of things to do so I might not be able to update this for awhile. Maybe I can over the weekend. Also does anyone want me to include the music’s in the program like crash and explode and star get? The repeating ones are kind of… so do you guys wants them in also or not? And if any ideas for the editor post it in his thread or this one.

Thanks for likening the program though and the VB thing is for the newest VB,

Thanks,

Nice. Personally I'm a SNES hacker so I won't be using that, but I'll be watching this anyways, I hope that you manage to make this editor change the music for all the levels in future

Offtopic, but Bloodstar, I'm interested in learning how you do that. I know you can make windows DLLs with ordinal exports in VB6, but console Apps I haven't heard of yet

How is that? I've heard about it before but never how to do it.

EDIT. I like VB I dont really like CMD but I can try. If you want me to.

Visual Basic can create console applications, believe it or not.

Trust me on this one - I make them all the time. (Especially in class )

Hi,

I'm new but decided i wanted to mod Mario 64. I tried to get approval but it didn’t turn out so well. For a hint look at my name. But I want to release this program. I’m still working on it. It only supports bomb-omb battle filed right now. But still it’s cool. You can pick up to 5 different music you want . It’s nothing special it just saves time and you don’t have to hex. It’s easy to use. It’s my first ever modding program, I think. (if I was approved I could have asked for help ) Report any bugs here. This is still a beta. I don’t take responsibly of what happens while you use this. Tell me if it’s good for a first.

BTW you need winrar to open it. I used rar to compress it

If it's purely done in .NET, there's a good chance it will work in Mono, thus running on most Unix-like OSes (including Mac OS X).

Not sure what you mean, I'm talking about one that uses the command line. Type/paste in a filename, and it would print a list of songs, type the song number and wheee

[edit] Like so:

C:\Whatever>funfunmusiceditor mario64.n64
<some information about the program goes here>
Available songs:
00 - Blah 01 - Blah 02 - Blah 03 - Blah
04 - Blah [...]
Enter new song number: 04
<some sort of confirmation message goes here>

C:\Whatever>

By console app you mean like for modding or CMD app? And yeah I could learn C. Thanks for liking it. It’s really good. It will be better when the next release but that may be awhile.

Thanks,

I’m not good with UI. And it’s my first program. I’m working on it so it does more than just bomb-omb battlefield.

It’s hard though lol

I’ll do some more work tomorrow.

Great screenshots!! When you finally port it to the mac, (or if someone does) then it will get interesting.

I’ve been trying with porting it and it’s not working . I’m going to keep trying if ANYONE CAN HELP ME PLEASE PM ME OR POST HERE.

I’m going to make it do physics in v0.9 and in v1 will be multiple maps support.

Dootuz

And as usual probably a new ui lol.

The program does need a new ui, it needs a better look. It looks like someone just photoshoped what they would want to be a program. If you improve the ui, it will be more popular of a download. I will photoshop an Idea of a ui that I though of. You can (not sure) just change the ui to match my picture.

Thanks lee. I'm going to keep working on this. I'll try to get it so that you can do all sounds for each map. Then move on to physics! After that I’ll keep making new things.

Dootuz

EDIT V 0.7 is out now. HUGE updates.

A LOT more sounds supported.
New ui.
