If you create a thread that's specifically created to talk about your hack, you need to have screenshots included. If you have a question on how to do something in your hack, that does not need screenshots. The basic idea here is if you're creating a thread to give information to others that you're creating a hack, you must give screenshots. Hack releases must have screenshots. The main thing is that if you claim to be doing a hack of something, we want proof. If I came here and made a post that I've done everything to Mario Adventure 2 that I have and didn't post any screenshots, a lot of you would be rather skeptical to believe it. The Rom hacking community is already pretty well established as to what is possibe, what's been hacked and how to do this or that. If you want serious help, post a serious question. If it's whether or not something is possible. Don't even try it. Hack ideas are a dime a dozen. I might just start a thread where everyone can pool their ideas into one giant thread to stop this stupidity of a new thread for every new idea. Second, editors for popular games can be found with a bit of research. http://www.zophar.net, http://www.google.com are your friends. But stop asking if an editor exists for more advanced systems. We're just now getting into tangible editors for 3D based games but it's very new and exciting, so any information on them will be easily accessible. And finally, is there a hack of this or that goes hand in hand with is there an editor for this or that. There's a sticky thread just for that. Please, use some sense with your posting. It's ok to be a newbie, but be decent when create new threads. |
