Saturday, 11/25 (specifically, the last half of it) will be dedicated to the server move. The new server will be accessible at new.acmlm.org (heh), so you can try using that for the time being while we sort everything out. Please do a little research before you ask a question, there's so much information already documented that you'd be wasting more time asking and waiting for a reply than you would looking for it. Later tonight I'll unban all of you... and then go through and reban about half of you. In short: stupidity is now a valid reason to ban. Why? There is a difference between being retarded and having fun. What most of you are doing (HELLO, ROM HACKING FORUMS) is being retarded: - Not reading the stickies (ignoring the reverse-psycology, and normal wording) - Not reading announcements - Not using basic tools - Not looking for old posts that would answer the question - Not reading the fucking manual (aka FAQ), or !RFTM for short - Not exercising common sense I and several others are getting tired of the constant stupid several people are producing. This is turning into another stupid spamfest for certain people, and any real intelligence is leaving to other places. It's time to change that. It's time to fucking do some spring cleaning. (also note: this does not mean having fun is over. this just means that people who do nothing but produce useless trash are being removed. I have nothing against our usual bouts of insanity.) When you help your opponent get unlazy and make a good set of tools to auto-recover from these hacks (and any other oddball bugs) that can be applied everywhere... ...you really, truly fail. In any case, the board now has an automatic thread fixer, which searches for deleted threads and restores them for you into a custom forum (the staff only Lost Threads, with titles like Lost Thread #xxxx), complete with repaired first/last post user and time. Tee-hee. |
