Meanwhile, Melvin was tracing a line down Kirbynite's town map with an odd-looking green marker. When finished, he held the map out to the Deku Dreamlander. The large green line ran straight from their location to the observatory.

Smithy immediately grabbed onto Melvin, as he pointed his hookshot into the air, and moments later, was flying up by Kirbynite.

Melvin: See? No sweat.

As he looked to his left, however, Melvin noticed the ceiling tile he had hot with the hookshot... fall past him. Melvin and Smithy were pulled down with the tile, and were embedded in the floor moments later.

As Ed continued to gnaw on the large padlock, the sharp eye of a camera mounted on the tower was watching her eveyr movement. A small hole opened right beside the large iron door, and an obscenely large cannon squeezed it's way through, pointing itself at Ed, while a large robotic gloved hand pulled out a match, struck it on the side of the tower, and lit the fuse.

Ed: Whaaaa?! o.o

A loud "Kabang!" later, Ed was flying backwards, attatched to the front of a large cannonball as it sailed into the lagoon, drenching everyone there in a rather large wave. As it cleared, Ed's feet could se seen above the water's surface, slowly sinking down as that one trumpet funeral song played.

Looks great... although I find the black mountains a bit odd-looking. I personally like the light-green mountains that are usually used better.

Ed stopped moving the moment she set eyes on the shining green gem. All Hikari could see is a red blue sweep in front of her, and the gem was gone, along with Ed, who was diving in and out of the water like a dolpin, the gem in her mouth until she landed back on the pier and sat crosslegged, a jeweler's monacle in her eye as she looked at it excitedly.

Ed: Ooooh! Treasure...
