Anya: There's no major difference, from what I can tell, between using a male and a female character in KOTOR. In KOTOR 2, there's a couple minor dialogue changes (some pretty funny ones), and one character you get is completely different. Handmaiden, exclusive to males, can become a Jedi Guardian, and teaches your character Battle Precognition. It's always active, and adds your Wisdom modifier to your Defense. | You remove the x by opening the rom in the graphics editor of your choice, then blanking that tile out with the transparent color. To my knowledge, the only place that x is used is on that particular screen, so I don't forsee any problems that would create. Of course, I only beat the SMAS version, so I may not have seen another place the NES version uses it. |

| Technical knowledge and common sense are two different things. Often when I call someone an idiot, I refer to their level of common sense. Such was the case there. It does not make much sense to throw away $100+ in an attempt to gain knowledge of a system that will be obsolete within the next few (3-5?) years. Then you have to repeat the process again, paying up to $150-$250 for a new system (depending on when you get it) to gain knowledge of modding a system that will - yet again - be obsolete within another few years. This doesn't take into account the added cost of failed attempts, which could be astronomical. |

| I'll be honest, I never have a clue when Earth Day is. No matter what day it is, be it Christmas or the middle of a random school week, I never litter and I am disgusted by the excessive wastefulness I see around me... so I guess you're right Kefka, I don't care about Earth Day. I do what I can to take care of the environment everyday, so one special day doesn't really matter to me. And the title could lead someone who doesn't know what day Earth Day is to think this was about garbage or recycling in general. That might explain the lack of activity here... |

| The worst things that happened to me were my Link's Awakening DX cartridge getting fucked up by the sun when I was up to the seventh dungeon, and my SNES getting a huge-ass hole in it. I have no clue how that last one happened, mind you. The SNES still worked for a while, too, so it wasn't that bad... Well, there was my NES with gravel in it. One of my cousins (the adults, in fact) got mad at his sister and threw his NES out the door into the gravel driveway. The NES still worked, but he didn't know that. He gave it to me, I had seen NESes getting fixed before (for the exact same reason), so I figured I'd be able to take care of that; if nothing else, it was a free NES. I couldn't fix it, we didn't have the right tools, but it worked for a while. After a while, though, every time I tried to play SMB3, the curtains from the startup screen were replaced by red clouds.  Needless to say, things got unplayable pretty quick.But yeah, compared to the stories here, those are nothing. cpubasic, Scatterheart, if you decide to kill your brothers, lemme know. I'll see what I can do to keep you from going to jail for it. As for your mother, Xeo... honestly, I'm gonna have to pin the blame on you, there. It's been my experience that parents don't know much about video games and therefore are not the right people to handle the selling of them. Of course, this sort of thing can work to your advantage...*thinks about when he sold his N64 and a few games to his aunt for damn near $200* Heeheehee... |

| It was changed in SMAS, Kyouji. I believe the names listed in the poll are accurate for the SMAS version; haven't beaten it in a while, though. World 3's my favorite. |

| I've gotten better at pissing people off. I think I have to credit Xk for that. It's a useful talent sometimes. I've become a better writer. And I'm more creative with my methods of getting myself out of trouble. That's about all that's changed outside the board. As for on-board stuff, well... I'll let you judge that. |

| What about data threads in ROM Hacking? Or old threads in Final Fantasy/SMB forums? Data threads are better kept to one thread for a game rather than making new threads every time new data is found (in my opinion, but hey, what do I know?), and FF/SMB forums are quite inactive, to the point where a three-month bump isn't really that bad there. Besides, if the newbies aren't gonna read the rules about bumping, there's other rules they won't read about either, so this wouldn't help with the 'disruptions', really. |
