| well, there's almost never any topics on older games in General Gaming, the only forums that ever seem to have mentions of pre-Gamecube/PS2/Xbox games are the FF forum and the SMB forum. I like Yomiko's idea. Add Classic Gaming, drop FF and SMB forums (or at least FF; the Super Mario series forum does get a reasonable amount of activity), and move their threads to the appropriate forums. Seriously, I think the FF forum's been dead for over a month.  |

| Well. With all my complaints about the local school systems, I gotta give them credit for one thing. They never had any teachers forcing opinions on others. They did have teachers attempting to stifle any intelligent discussion of political issues, but that's not that bad. School is for teaching. Not for raising kids, not for playing games, not for teaching what's right and wrong. It is for teaching the facts, and nothing else. At least, that's what it's supposed to be for. Where did the school system lose sight of that? |

| The GameStop here's not too bad. They won't bug you unless you ask a question, and when you do ask they answer it. Mom's checks never work there, though. They work everywhere else... Well, that's the one outside the mall. The one in the mall... eh, I doubt many people there know anything about games. =/ We still go there because mom's on some stupid crusade against the one outside the mall - note that she can't use checks here, either. Nevermind that they have better selection and more intelligent and friendly employees (and, is also the one I hope to get a job at very, very soon) outside the mall... | I'll be honest, I don't entirely see the logic in a portable system that uses a disc format. Yeah, it holds more data (and is better for home consoles), but consider durability for a second. People are clumsy. I've dropped a GBC in the rain. The game was ejected by the impact - Pokemon Red, if you were curious. I popped the game back in, and resumed my wanderings from my last save point. If that happened with a CD? At best, the disc would require cleaning. Or, equally likely, it could be scratched, the effects ranging from minorly annoying to rendering the game unplayable. Meh, as it is the PSP is too damn expensive for me anyway. |
