Another interesting Hard Mode cheat - the one in FFT. All enemies have ALL classes mastered. Wizards that cast a pathetic Fire spell? No more! Watch in horror as they Flare your characters to death, thanks to their Half MP support ability! And remember when the biggest threat from a summoner was Titan? No more - they'll now summon Bahamut or even Zodiac!

Yeah. Too bad I don't have a Gameshark.

And Xk (X-Mas), your view on cheating sounds much like mine - if it makes the game more fun, go right ahead.

Four people in our house... three are not Christian (Mom and Dad are wiccan, I'm atheist/agnostic; I never can remember which word means specifically what)... we still celebrate Christmas. Not really any religious aspect, just the giving and the cheerfulness. That, and my mom for some unknown reason enjoys decorating. Yes, the actual work of putting the deorations up. Yes, I think some people might take it too far - using the example in that rant, a nativity scene, which is a religious symbol, does not need to be in a school. But there's nothing wrong with a Christmas tree, IMO. And go ahead and put your nativity scenes wherever else you want; your yard, window, living room, porch, wherever. Not a school.

Then again, if schools did put a Christmas tree up, no matter what they called them, someone would demand it be taken down.

Thanks. The first one was probably the problem - I hadn't finished with the level, so there were probably a few over pits. I'll try fixing that tonight/tomorrow.

We have a cable connection that's always connected from when we turn the computer on, if that's of any relevance.

In the first five minutes after I turn hte computer on, I can't access anything MSN related, which includes MSN messenger. Messenger can't connect, the site can't be found, but every other site works fine. And a few minutes later, MSN's fine.

It's not that big a problem, but it's a bit of an annoyance. We didn't have this problem until recently...

Happens to you, too?

That's why we just get the big containers of them, not the packets. If I sneeze, I only lose one spoon of powder, and I can just get more easily. I still prefer the syrup, though.

His ignorance isn't the funny part. The funny part is that he refuses to try to learn, and essentially wants someone else to do the work for him.

This is odd. But... I didn't think there was a list of Lip tricks. I do remember Nose Stalls being a pain in the ass to do when you want to, though...

Try this: When you're on a lip, hit a few different trick buttons (Grind, flip, rail) in any combination. Eventually, you should manage to hit the Nose Stall combination. This will not happen if your initial lip trick is an Invert-type.

Which version do you have? I can help more if it's Xbox, but...

DKC: First game, good game, not best one though. Felt too basic, as all you had were a roll, a jump, running, and throwing things. Good music, though, which has been one of the best parts of the series.

DKC2: ARGH! DAMN IT! ~My reaction when I played on an SNES. One of the few games that I do better at on an emulator, even without savestates. Best music in the series overall, and the hardest game in the series too.

DKC3: Music is a mixed bag, with the horrendous Harbor music and the excellent Waterfall music, not to mention the REALLY annoying music in that rocket level. (Lost World level, if you're confused) Overall level designs were pretty good, but item collecting seemed a little odd. The coins I have no problem with, as they're in level and you can just grab 'em as you go. But the items you get from bosses that you have to take back to Funky or one of those damn bears... argh, it just felt like a waste of time.

My favorite's probably DKC2, though I do still enjoy all three games. It's unfortunate that the music in DKC3 was such a mixed bag (at best), and the item collection crap got added...

hmm... I didn't have that problem on my game. My Easy-level skater is perfectly capable of doing nose stalls... huh. Might be a PS2-only thing.

This'll sound like the obvious, maybe, but try GameFAQs. See if anything's mentioned there.

Well, no. When I was buying Diablo 2, the cashier KNEW I wasn't 18. So I got my mom - had to anyway, she always has all the money. Beyond that one case, it's never come up as most of my games are E or T.

Ooops, forgot about the thread though the problem still lingers.

HH: No. I use the local cable company's internet service, which is surprisingly pretty good. It's like this every single time I start the computer, and this wasn't a problem until recently.

Four, Xeo. FOUR.

Try 2-headed Dragon. Use Slowra on the first turn and pray it works. If it does, you win pretty much - that guy uses no magic. 2-head is on the northwest room of the fifth floor. You get a Bard's Tunic for killing him, nice armor for any mage. I took him out at level 26, so you should have no problem.

And sucks to be you - magic doesn't suck anymore. I use my Red Mage for a self-buffing Fighter, since my other two mages are focused on my Warrior. And, since his Intelligence is too low for damage/healing spells, I fill the rest with party buffs like NulFrost. My party is Warrior/Red Mage/White Mage/Black Mage...

Now I gotta get the airship. Accidentaly went to the ice cavern, thinking that was the volcano. Decided to make the best of it and grab the Levistone.

Given your choices, none of 'em. But if I had to vote, I'd go with Ramza.

I still thought Delita was a better character, though...

Your rewards from the Soul of Chaos bosses (the new bosses) are guaranteed, I think... that's good enough reason for me.

Get the Giant's Glove (or whatever it's called). It casts Saber (or whatever IT'S called ) on whoever uses it. Saber as a spell sucks - can only be used on caster, and only Black Wizard can learn it. But it raises attack power by more than Temper. Naturally, casting it on anyone thanks to an item is good.

I've killed Lich and Marilith, and have the Airship. Level 36, IIRC.

And I think I know why this game's easier, yet not to the point of boredom (like the US FF4 was). They had to make the game flow a bit faster - which removes the need to focus on levelups, since you need less exp to levelup - since it's a portable. That also explains the saving being allowed anywhere. Complain about it all you want, I appreciate it.

oh, and Earthgift is the shortest of the new dungeons. They get much longer. I've read that one has a freaking Inn inside, and a Church! That's gotta be a long dungeon if they did THAT...
