JDavis: Ack! Tornadoes! Hmm... Think, Davis... You're from Oklahoma... What do you do about tornadoes..? Of course! Leaf shield! *changes settings on his rifle*

JDavis' shirt suddenly turns a shade of green, and his jeans turn white. He pulls the trigger on his rifle, and four leaves appear, which float around him in a circular motion. While his opponent merely laughs at this, JDavis pulls the trigger a second time, and the four leaves fly straight at Jin, smacking him in the face.

Jin: ... Is that it?!

Suddenly hundreds of leafs fly in from every angle, as if from nowhere, slicing Jin up into a bloody mess.

Jin:

JDavis: Medic!

Two gims walk into the arena carrying a stretcher. One has one of those headbands with the big shiny round thing on it and a stethoscope; the other is wearing a nurse's hat. They put Jin on the stretcher, then leave.

((Hey, we got permision to write him off because of the permaban So I had fun with it!))

When the laser beam stops, Forte is still seen standing there, with one arm in front of him which he used as a shield.

Forte: Are you done yet?

It's out now! Go forth and purchse it!

On a down-side, turns out they've left out the multiplayer. However, you can trade the data of your built-up and customized character over to a friend's copy for them to either play as or use as the computer-controlled second character.

Yeah, it saves your stats and money and such. Not your progress through the game, though (like what bosses you've beaten and such).

I'm doing good... I've got myself a nice webcomic, which would probably get a huge jump in popularity if I updated it on a regular basis ... I'm still into the whole post layout thing, currently making a new one monthly. Next year is my final year of public schooling, but I'm starting with my college classes this summer with College Algebra. So, I'd say I'm doing alright for myself...

How 'bout you?

Time to talk some sense into this thread

1) Quit complaining about "ONOZ ITS NOT BOND! BOND IS NOT IN IT! WTF!" This is very much to be considered a Bond game because it is set in the Bond Movie universe. And Bond IS in it, though briefly. The game opens with a mission inspired by the famous Fort Knox showdown from Goldfinger, wherein your character, an aspiring Double 0 agent, is supposed to be teamed up with Bond. You push him off a ledge or something. Then you "take things into his own hands, exhibiting a wanton disregard for Her Majesty's protocols." Thus, you get kicked out of MI6, and become a "rogue agent"

2) You know EXACTLY why they're calling it Goldeneye. Don't fool yourself. They're doing it for the money. Everyone liked the original Goldeneye, and they're going for the name-recognition thing here. Companies do it all the time. I'd say it's more fitting here then it was with, oh... Tetris Attack

Also, the whole idea they're going for with this game is to bring in the fun, action-based, "all about poppin' a cap in some foo's", first person shooterage of the original Goldeneye instead of the stealth and gadgets and stuff of their own Bond games.

I also might point out that Goldeneye, as a title for a Bond movie, was a diversion from the typical Bond movie titles. The Bond movies before Goldeneye were named after (not always based on) the Bond Novels/Stories by Ian Fleming. Goldeneye was named after Fleming's house in Jamaica (which he designed himself). And the Bond movies since then haven't really been named after anything.

Yes. Do play through it repeatedly. When you beat slick, after showing a picture for a long while until a song finishes playing (I'm wondering if there's just some problem with the emulation which is causing the credits to not show or something... Yes, I don't have the actual cart yet. Short on money.) It'll give you the option to save your data. Playing through the game with data that has beaten Slick, you have an unshown reputation stat which is raised or lowered by certain things (check gamefaqs for more details, guys). Depending on your reputation and other factors when playing on a Slick-beaten file, you can get the gang bosses to join you and form a posse (of up to four, including you and the second character if you started with one).

Damn, you're right about License to Kill...View to a Kill's title is based on "From a View to a Kill", part of "For Your Eyes Only"

1) Yes, they still say "BARF!" In fact, the "Homeboys" say "BizARF!"

2) Adjusting the gravity doesn't just affect jumping. It effects any objects that have motion through the air. Thrown weapons, someone getting knocked around by punches, jumping people, etc.

3) Yes, they still have the Japanese school uniform. The localization team was either too lazy to edit the sprites this time, or they thought it was better with the uniforms. Personally, I would have preferred an option to choose one or the other. Note that the T-shirts and jeans look was only in the American (River City Ransom) and European (Street Gangs) versions on the NES. The Japanese version (Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari) always had the Japanese school uniforms. Additionally, one may note the lack of little (male) kids in the malls. Those were US/Europe added things as well. The Japanese version always only had schoolgirls in the malls

Oh, and I forgot to mention this before, but Atlas plans to bring more Nekketsu games to the GBA. Unless my information fails me, the two games they announced are:

"Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigekidayo" (Also known as Technos Samurai), an NES game which used an improved RCR engine and put the Kunio/Nekketsu characters a feudal Japanese setting (alot of stuff from it ended up in RCR EX, like the CPU controlled second player, being able to throw buckets/trashcans onto peoples' heads, damage displayed when you hit people, etc.).

And a Nekketsu Soccer game. They weren't specific. There have been two soccer games in the series, the first of which (Nekketsu Koukou Soccer) was released stateside as Nintendo World Cup Soccer. The latter, and better of the two, (Kunio Kun no Nekketsu Soccer Leage) was planned for a stateside release as Crash n' the Boys Soccer Challenge, but they never got started on the translation or anything. (Technos was planning to bring alot of the Nekketsu sports games over under the Crash n' the Boys title).

Both of these games (and any others Altus makes), when/if they get a stateside release can be expected to be done so as River City games. The ending of RCR EX hints at sequels... "RC High finally found peace... But would it last? The new student body president changed it all... The next chapter has already begun..." In the Nekketsu games following RCR the guy who is the Student Council President is the "main bad guy." He tried repeatedly to get rid of the Nekketsu gang (Kunio's gang) not through violence, but through athletic activities. You may remember him as the guy who throws a hissy fit in his dad's office at the beginning of Crash n' The Boys' Street Challenge. He never actually participates in any of the events, being the wuss he is. (Note: They replaced Rikki (Ryan)'s graphics in Crash n' The Boys' Street Challenge with those for this guy when they brought it to the US)

Two frogs (two different years), a worm, a crawdad, a huge grasshopper... I think that's all...

And sadly, I don't think the teacher was joking about the cat. Cats are indeed one of the animals that can be ordered for dissection. There's one in the back room of my dad's classroom, in a vacuum-sealed bag with that one liquid they keep disection animals in (which smells really bad). My dad's not about to make anyone dissect a cat. That one's just in there from old science teacher.

If I were you, Slash Dafter, I'd start a petition against the cat dissection. And make sure to get plenty of both student and parent (particularly the latter, as teachers aren't in the habbit of caring about what students think) signatures.

Is it when you cant see properly anymore?

*takes off glasses* ONOZ! I'm drunk!

When you start blathering gibberish to anybody and everybody?

Yeah, that could be whenever I open my mouth.

When you throw up?

Nah, last time I did that I had eaten some expired roast beef.

When you are passed out and somebody has shaved your eyebrows off?

That one's never happened.

Fact of the matter is, I don't even get much in the ways of oportunities to drink. The closest to drunk I've been would have to have been the after-prom party. Was just a little tipsy.

JDavis: Meep! *ducks inside one of the "buildings" and crouches in a dark corner* Hmm... He's multiple times larger than Ziff.. and Ziff's a freaking dragon in his normal form, if I remember correctly.. My phaser's not going to do any good against that thing without using its cheaper modes... *puts away rifle* I know!

JDavis jumps out (another) window, runs at NeoZerodius, and leaps into the air. While in the air, he curls himself up into a ball and begins spinning at incredible speeds.

JDavis: Acro Circus!

JDavis hit NeoZerodius' side, but instead of knocking the over-sized Hunter to the ground, JDavis was flung backwards quite a number of yards into a fourth-story window of one of the taller buildings.

River City Ransom EX is the GBA remake/update (they've added alot) of the classic NES game River City Ransom (known as Street Gangs in Europe and Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari in Japan). It was, just released state-side, so you European gamers may be getting before long (likely under the title Street Gangs EX... though I can't seem to find a European release date...). RCR/SG/DNM was one of the best (if not THE best) NES games, and the same can easily be said about RCR EX for the GBA.

*whacks Atma X with the newbie-beating-stick*

You fool! You foolish fool! You just made a hugenormous post flaming the hell out of knuck out of the complete misunderstanding of you thinking his quote of the first sentence of your previous post was actually a statement by him directed at you.

Then you go on about how knuck needs to read your post more carefully next time (when you are the one who misread his post, and you didn't even recognize the first sentence from your OWN post which he was quoting). You call him incompetent, when his post was pretty clear in its meaning and you completely misread it. Then you say HE does a half-ass job of reading over posts and that HE acts like an ass to people, yet more hypocritical statements on your part.

In closing, PAY ATTENTION *whacks Atma again*
