Besides, she's the ORIGINAL Pretty Soldier, codename Sailor V. Sailor Moon came later.

IE users, imagine all of that bright blue as being the brown color. That's what it's supposed to look like.

Not bad, I say. Though it loses points for the yellow/black stripey bit not always tiling correctly on the corners.

IE shouldn't have any problem with transparency in PNGs as long as it's not semi-transparency and the PNG has a 256-color pallete.

The McDonalds commercials with the king... DO NOT EXIST. The commercials are for Burger King. Thus the king. It's not hard to figure out.

Anyway, I'd say the best commercial I've seen in a while is the Pepsi "Spartacus" commercial. Though, admitedly, if you haven't seen the movie, you wouldn't find it as awesome.

Note, they said it's expected to have it. In other words, they don't really know for sure. Of course it's expected to have it, though. The first Mega Collection should have had it.

They also mention Sonic Fighters (also known as Sonic: The Fighters), another game I'd really like to see in the collection. One they didn't mention, which should also see release, is Segasonic, the arcade game featuring Sonic, Mighty, and Ray. Other games that should be included, as I see it, are Knuckles Chaotix, and Sonic R. Sonic Shuffle and Sonic Pocket Adventures would be nice, though I don't think they'd include them.

The Game Gear ones have already been included in the Sonic Adventure DX for Gamecube and "Sonic Mega Collection +" for PS2/X-Box. Including them in this would be cause to smack somebody in the head.

My NES works fine, after a bit of tweaking and sometimes cleaning the connections on the carts. As for what YD said about the save batteries, LttP's the only one I have trouble with, but I think that's more because the board is loose within the cart.. Usually have to tilt it just right for it to even play. One reason I was happy for the GBA port of it

Anyway, back on freaking topic, Xk make a good little pixelly NES. Hooray.

Guts sighed out of confusion and turned his attention to the window. Outsied, he saw what looked like a tiny green guy with pruple legs pushing a multicolored ball around that was at least twicethe guy's size. As he rolled over the various objects littered on the ground, they stuck to the ball, or to the other objects already stuck to it.

Guts: ... *turns to JDavis* Did you..?

JDavis was leaning back in his chair, resting his head in his arms, with his eyes closed. He opened one to look at Guts.

JDavis: Hmm?

Guts turned back to the window, but there was no sign of the little green man.

Guts: Er... Nevermind?

JDavis: Nah, I'd say a couple hours at most. At a walking pace, and assuming we don't stop to fight any creatures. Too bad this is an alternate dimension, and we thus can't just beam over there.

Guts: Oh! I know what might be helpful! While you guys were busy grabbing the Moon Tear thing, the scarcrow guy said somthing to me about a song that makes time go slower... I can't remember exactly.

Yeah, the Six Flags dancing old man commercials are good.

Though, I remember an older commercial for an AOL-Time Warner thing that also used the song "Vengabus" ... Specifically, a commercial for the Kids WB show Silvester and Tweety Mysteries that substituted the line "we like to party" with Tweety singing "we like the putty." I chose to interpret it as the little bird's message to the masses that not only is he a male bird (people tend to be confused about that due to Tweety's tendancy to appear on Looney Tunes swag intended for the female consumer), but he's also not gay. Somehow, I don't think that's what the original message was supposed to be, but I don't really care.

Oh, speaking of awesome commercials with unintended double meanings... Let's not forget Mr. Bucket. Probably without a doubt MY favorite commercial of all time.

Mr. Bucket is one of these Milton Bradley toys/games for children not old enough to give a rats ass about board games (not that many kids really do anyway), such as "Crocodile Dentist" and "Elefun the Elephant." In Mr. Bucket, there are a 12 of balls of different colors (red, blue, yellow, and green, as always), 3 of each color. The players each have one of four identically color-coded shovel-like things with which they must pick up the balls and place them inside the game's namesake, Mr. Bucket. Mr. Bucket is basically a yellow bucket with a face on him, however there is a little more to him than a normal bucket. He has two arms which move back and forth, attempting to block players from placing their balls in his top. Also, he rolls about in mildly irratic movements, thus furthering the preschoolers that would play the game's difficulty. Lastly, but certainly not least, there is a mechnism within him that causes him to periodically shoot out one of the balls already placed in him, through his mouth. Once one of the kiddies managed to get all three of their balls in Mr. Bucket at the same time, they won the game.

Mr. Bucket first hit the shelves in 1991, and around that same time, a commercial for the game hit TVs, generally airing amidst cartoons and such. It went on for years and years, but its hidden greatness went unnoticed, likely because those watching TV when it was aired were too young and/or naive to pick up on it. Detailed below is the audio of the commercial.

Mr. Bucket: That's right, I'm Mr. Bucket!

Mr. Bucket, singing: I'm Mr. Bucket, toss your balls in my top! I'm Mr. Bucket, out of my mouth they will pop! I'm Mr. Bucket, (little kids yell "wee!") we're all gonna run! I'm Mr. Bucket, buckets of fun!

Announcer: The game's Mr. Bucket. The first to get their balls into Mr. Bucket wins! But look out, because the balls will pop out of his mouth!

Mr. Bucket, singing: I'm Mr. Bucket, the balls pop out of my mouth! I'm Mr. Bucket, I'm always running about. I'm Mr. Bucket, (little kids yell "wee!") we're all gonna run! I'm Mr. Bucket, buckets of fun!

Little kid: I win! I win!

Announcer: Mr. Bucket, from Milton Bradley.

Mr. Bucket, singing: Buckets of fun!

Finally, someone caught onto the huge ammounts of innuendo present. Sadly, so did Milton Bradley, and as such, Mr. Buckets are no longer in production.

I've not seen any videos of the Mr. Bucket commercial going around the internet, but the audio is certainly availible. Just check this page on ytmnd

Actually, they put it in the Gamecube version as well... in the Japanese release. They just took it out of the US release. Same goes for The Ooze. Flicky and Ristar aren't exactly Sonic games, either, so who knows what non-Sonic games they'll throw in this time.

Name: Joshua Cody Davis AKA JDavis

Age: 18

Sex: Male

Area of expertise: Art stuff. Role-playing stuff.

Skills: Photoshopping skills, and spriting skills, and role-playing skills, and drawing skills...

Highest Obtained power level: Erm... Wait, here or elsewhere? Here, Local Mod. Elsewhere, Admin.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why : Modern Art and Story Forum. Besides them being my main forums of interest and/or areas where my talents lay, I certainly have plenty of experience moderating both. I originally became Modern Art Moderator during a time when Sarev0k started becoming inactive, and replaced him when he effectively left. I remained in that position until shortly after the first major staff reconstruction, when a couple other capable users were also assigned to the forum. Feeling I was in something of a "too many cooks in the kitchen" scenario, I requested a transfer to the Story Forum. At the time, there was already a decent amount of moderators for the SF, but they weren't all fully active, and it is a mighty large forum. More recently, I've also been re-appointed my position as moderator of Modern Art, which had been left staffless for a while.

Recommendations: Kirbynite, Teddylot, Taryn, Elric, Grey, more coming as I get them, I guess.

Damnit, Jim! I'm a moderator, not an English major! I refuse to write four ten-sentence paragraphs on the grounds of essay writing having nothing to do with ones ability as a moderator. And quite frankly, I couldn't write an essay to save my life, about my life and why it should be saved. Or about anything. No essay writing for me, thank you, sir. I should hope that you left that in by accident and that it was only meant for the admins. If you didn't, too bad, I'm not writing one anyway.

JDavis: Uh, I thought we already knew that!

Gutsman: Alright! It's go time!

Gutsman, who had returned to his robotic form while nobody was looking (so I wouldn't have to describe the transformation here, because I'm lazy), ran up to the large boulder. Not knowing what the crazy robot was up to, the guy who had been picking away at the boulder quickly got out of the way. Gutsman squatted next to the boulder, and with little effort, lifted it from the ground and held it aloft over his head.

Gutsman: I still got it!

With a single hand, he tossed the boulder aside, back toward the field from which our group had just come. After flying through a certain green-dressed man's balloon, which popped of course, it flew out of sight...

----------

Back in Termina Field...

Takkuri the Vulture: Drat, that group got away before I could try to steal anything from them... I had better start looking for another sucker that I can- WHAT THE!?

A large flying boulder suddenly hit Takkuri, flattening him against a gigantic hollowed log before bouncing off.
