| ((....I suppose Melvin's actions did confuse the placement of that, but yeah, we're not in the open desert. Due to the tall wall, it kinda makes it look like a ravine for a bit up the mountain path. *nod nod*)) Hikari: ... You definitely don't hang around these parts, do ya, stranger? Hikari immediately spotted the kidnapper as she reached the other side of the boulders. She then spotted something else. Mitra wasn't there. Hikari freaked out and rushed down to the ground, courtesy of some rocks giving way under her feet. She let out another irritated grunt as she got back up to her feet. Hikari: Hey! Where did Mitra go?! Now that the man wasn't moving, it was easier to tell what he was wearing. A blue vest with gold trimming, a long sleeved, white shirt with the sleeve ends becoming wider at the ends, some light colored pants, and light brown boots. Definitely a bit out of the ordinary, but-- Hikari: Still felt a bit natural...*shakes head* Er.. I mean... I need to stop bleeding narration like that.. Hey! Start talking! Where's Mitra! Kidnapper: Whea..? The man turns around, with his ponytail whipping around. His green eyes were quite noticable now that they were aimed at Hikari. Kidnapper: Ah, why are ye askin' fer her? 'Tis the reason be you wantin' attention from me, eh? I'll take ye away if ye like.  Hikari's face grew a bit red as she stared at the man in pure confusion. She blinked for a moment. She shook her head and then stomped her left foot. Hikari: Don't be sweet talkin' me! An' don't be changin' the subject! Where is Mitra? Kidnapper: Oh, ye don't even ask for me name? Ah, fine then. The man points up. Hikari looks around. On a ledge about a hundred meters up, there was a very large creature wearing what could easily be called a hundred gallon hat and a beige poncho. The large beast was beating its chest as soon as Hikari locked onto its eyes. Hikari: A giant goron?! Giant Goron: Go away-goro. Leave us alone-goro. This territory of Mule Joe-goro. A very blank look appeared on Hikari's face. Hikari: You're telling me he kidnapped her? Ex-Kidnapper: That's the idea, lass. (edited by Kirbynite on 08-12-05 03:47 PM) |

| Melvin's response to Hikari was not returned, since Hikari was on the other side of the boulders already. Ex-Kidnapper: Oi! That mighty beast isn't me friend? I've been searchin' for the Phoenix, and I jus' thought she was free for the pickin', savvy? Hikari gave the man a hard glare until her attention was diverted by the goron. Mule Joe beated his chest as Maya tried to stay on the ledge. He then hopped up and stomped the ground several times. The wall Maya was hanging on began to shift around. Ledges that led up to the one Mule Joe was standing on had been jostled around. After that, Mule Joe grabbed onto a nearby stash of boulders and began to hurl them down. The boulders convieniently tumbled down the ledges. Hikari: Just great. |

| Hikari had already ducked to avoid getting hit in the face by debris. Hikari: We're hangin' around with lunatics! She decided that she would try her best to ditch everyone as fast as she could while trying to save Mitra. She looked up, hoping to luck an idea out of nowhere. The giant goron gently twists around his dastardly-looking mustache before tossing another wave of boulders. Hikari keeps looking around and notices the ledges form a zigzagy path up, something easy enough for her to get up quickly. Hikari: C'mon, Glenn. I reckon we should leave these fools ta their own insanity. Hikari stood up and ran forward, keeping aware of the falling boulders. |

| "Metal! Wait! The match-!!" It was too late. Metal had already begun to unleash a barage of flaming punches. Kirby quickly put up his own arms to block, but each stinging blow made him want to keel over. The spikey headed lad thought it was over until lasers began to fire all around him. Kirby twisted his body backwards and attempted to dodge the lasers by a series of flips. Lasers shot underneath, over, and around his body, amazingly missing the target. Kirby was doing a good job until a Tri-attack came to make its mark. With the amount of damage already wrecked upon him, Kirby was flung across the battlefield. His body skidded to a halt, leaving him motionless on the floor. With Metal brandishing his double D's, it seemed like Kirby would've been downright finished here. In a flash of brown and white, the DD44's bulletfire was deflected before they reached the target. The cause of the deflection was a young woman with a sword, standing before Kirby's laid out body. Kirby slowly opened his eyes to be greeted by the vision. "Naka..se..." She didn't turn her head to respond, however. Metal had one more attack barage coming. Nakase put her hands together and began forming random hand positions. A ton of random and explosive objects began to soar its way over to Nakase and Kirby until the brunette opened her mouth. A great flame was let out, immediately setting off the explosives in mid-flight. Metal had fallen onto the floor, and Nakase saw this. She stood tall and slowly walked towards Metal. "What honor have you? Attacking with such relentlessness without properly storing energy." "Na..Nakase, stop, please." "But you haven't responded with attacks for a post. And what he did was not a proper combo." "He'll stop. Third time's.. a charm. Besides.. it's over." Nakase glared a Metal. After a few moments she rushed over to Kirby and kneeled down beside him. ((Sorry sorry.. major distractions kept me from posting  ;; ))Mule Joe took a step back, in slight shock of everyone quickly making their way up. He leans over to the side to grab Mitra, who was sitting quietly on a rock. He then began to run further up the mountain. There was a bit of walking to do to reach the next tallest ledge for the giant goron, but his long strides were making it easy. Hikari finally reached the top of the cliff she was climbing. She let out a pant and an irritated grunt. Hikari: And he ran away! I'm tired of all this running!! It's now that makes me wish my mana could take the form of explosive arrows. |

| ((Hum... Might have to do some more time traveling.)) Kirby leaned back on his comfortable office-like chair after completing his unusual amount of homework from the first day of school. He let out a sigh as he let all the memories flow into his mind after draining the thoughts of problems out of his head. Kirby: I'm still amazed Schala goes to this school... Even more amazed she acts just like she does online... Chuchu: Hey! Chuchu popped her head into Kirby's room. Kirby nearly fell off his seat from the random intrusion. Kirby: Whoa! Chuchu: Food's ready. Kirby: Oooh, great. Though, that took a while. Chuchu: Food takes a while to make when there's more than six people living in the same house, you know. Kirby: Yeah yeah... but shouldn't you have had help? Chuchu: Why don't you help? You and me are the only cooks in the house. Kirby: Seriously? Chuchu: They're all just a bunch of lazy bums. Pitch: I heard that, mang! |

| Kirby: Alright, I'm going now. Chuchu: Kirb! Wait for me, please? Kirby: I was hoping to get there on tim-- Chuchu: Done. Kirby: Whatever it was, that was quick. Chuchu: I had to finish up making Prof Matter's lunch. Kirby: Hm? Why'd did that take you so long to make? Chuchu: Since he left so early, I didn't realize he didn't get a lunch for work. Since he's one of the teachers that work at the same school, I just thought I would do that. Chuchu and Kirby walk out the door and begin their trek to school. Kirby: Hum... I think Gooey would train interesting students. Chuchu: Come to think of it, I don't even know if he's a real teacher. I've never heard anyone talk about him... Do you know where he's from? Chuchu: Can't say. My connections whom have connections with teachers say Davenport hooked someone with Kansai connections. Kirby: Can-say? Chuchu: I think it's Japanese. Kirby: Kansai. Hum... Aren't people trouble makers there? Chuchu: I dunno. You're the one who reads up on stereotypes online. Kirby: Meh. |

| It was Kirby's turn to be led into the Tournament Commons room, with Nakase aiding his steps. Kirby's eyes were constantly glazing out. Nakase: You were never meant to do something like that! Kirby: But I gave a good show, eh? Nakase: But using the cards in such a way, and so many! It is amazing that you are still awake! Kirby: Actually, there's a very good reason why I haven't conked out. Kirby points over at Kalar, sitting comfortably in the couch. Kirby: I felt something rather distracting coming from another arena. If I wasn't gonna collapse soon, I'd whack you on the head. You have any idea what kind of serious trouble you could've put this place into?! Nakase: What about the destroyed arena? Kirby: Everyone ran away before something happened. Besides, I thought the force fields were strong enough. It was before the arenas were renovated. And summoning the Heartless to this realm is a far serious case. |

Hikari stared at Maya with disbelief. |
Hikari: I.. I was just sayin' it out of anger.. Mule Joe didn't run too far. There was a mining structure built infront of some excavated holes in the side of the mountain. He immediately scaled the three story metallic structure and placed Mitra insode one of the excavated holes. Mule Joe began to beat his chest as he glared at everyone who was running towards him. Mule Joe: Go away, goro! Hikari: He's a sittina duck up there... But I can't shoot dynamite at him since Mitra's so close... Darnit! The three floor catwalks seemed a bit sturdy with the six pillars jutting up through them. There were a few ladders scattered that would allow them to climb up, but would it be safe..?

Hikari held her hands to her mouth, attempting to amplify her voice as she yelled. |
Hikari: What are you doin', woman?! Hikari thought to herself and figured it was a probably a good idea. She shoved the dynamite sticks into her quiver, and dashed to the catwalk. Mule Joe took notice of those invading his "fortress". He quickly looked around for a way to retaliate. He noticed there was an oil drum nearby. He pulled out a rock from under his poncho and strikes it across the top of the drum. Mitra flinched. A spark shot out and started a tiny flame on the top of the drum. It didn't explode or anything. Mitra let out a sigh of relief. Unfortunately for the blonde, she had lost her breath again when she realized the plantlife growing. Mitra: Eep! Mule Joe snatched a round, black bulb from the flower that was happily growing on the side of the hole in the mountain. A tiny flame erupted from the top of the bulb and began to hiss. Mule Joe: I said go away-goro! Mule Joe tossed the black bulb towards Maya. Hikari realized what Mule Joe had tossed and immediately jump off the catwalk.

And it was exactly Maya's slip up that allowed her to avoid the explosive radius of the bomb plant. The mining structure shook as a pillar was blown to bits. The ground below the structure began to form some cracks. Hikari immediately scattered away from the structure. |
Hikari: *yelling* Hey! Are you alright? *normal voice* Hum.. Reckon it's a bit dangerous to be gettin' close... Now what?

It's not that much-- Hikari noticed the ground below the mining structure full of cracks, and a hole in the center of it all. Hikari: Uhh... Can't ya hold on for a minute, missy? I'm not the strong savin' type. ;

Mule Joe was immediately angered by being doused by water. Gorons were never fans of water, no matter how small the dosage. He seemed so angry that he was pouring out steam.. Hikari: Wait, that's not coming from the goron... Hikari looked over at the hole. There was steam billowing out the hole. The amount of steam was growing in intensity. The cracks around the hole began to surge through the ground. Hikari: Glenn.. If there were a reservoir here, wouldn't the miners who've been minin' here have had some kinda pumpin' system goin'? Hikari was taking a few steps back, not wanting to know what was going to happen. She bumped right into Farid's chest, immediately confusing her. Farid: Oi! It be a lot wiser if ye actually looked before ye ran. Hikari: Hey, ya big oaf! The ground's gonna be all collapsin'-lik-- Before Hikari could finish her sentence, the hole below the catwalk had erupted into a huge amount of rock and lava. The ground below everyone's feet had given way and sent everyone, including those on the catwalk, plummeting through the mountain. Hikari opens her eyes after a while. A cough escapes her mouth as she sits up, moving a few rocks off of her body. There was a faint glow lighting up the cavern she had fallen into. Hikari: What... happened...? Why is it so... hot? Hikari's tired eyes wandered around. She was on a very large platform, perhaps a good 40 yards wide. Around the platform was a nice moat of lava. Hikari: Hooeee... Ah.. Is everyone alright? Mule Joe was not found anywhere, but the mining structure, atleast its remains was found scattered around on the ground. (edited by Kirbynite on 08-29-05 01:22 AM)

There was a soft rumble echoing about, mixing in with molten bubbling noises. All of a sudden, a large, dragon-like being spewed out of the lava. It flew through the air with great, leaping bounds, propelling itself by flaming wings that protrude from its back like spears from hell. Every jet of white-hot death that erupts from its mouth scorches all that it touches. Forests have died beneath its heat. Entire lakes have been reduced to dried up holes in the ground with a single breath. They call it Volvagia. Hikari: That description seemed mighty fishy! I haven't heard of no lakes 'round these parts. .... A firery, beast flies out of the lava. It roars, breathes fire, and looks pissed. There's a broken sign laying around saying something about "Beware of Valoo", but Hikari couldn't decipher the ancient looking text. Hikari: That sounds a bit better. Ahem.. Eek! Everyone look alive!

The dragon landed on one side of the platform, all four legs planted into the ground. Magma was slowly trickling off the beast's scales and piling around as it lumbered towards the group. Hikari took a huge gulp. Hikari: I reckon no one's got any bright ideas on how to get outta here? Farid: Same way we came down? Hikari: .... Wait wait wait! Since when did we find out your name, mister? Farid: !! Hikari: That's right. I've got them captions on. Farid: Uh... Dunno. Ye gotta problem with it? Hikari: I appreciate formal introductions. Farid: Very well then. Me na-- Hikari: Except I'm not caring anythin' about you, ya under-handed-- The dragon let out another roar, in which both Hikari and Farid glared at the dragon. Hikari & Farid: Shut up! Of course the dragon didn't take this sitting down. Its throat expanded, putting some special organs to work. A steam of fire was set loose, sending Hikari and Farid to duck out of the way of the attack. Hikari: Hey, ya useless folk! Got any bright ideas on how to get out of this? | |||||||||||||||
