| The group consisting of Jack, Haruko, Kirbynite, and Teddylot treked along the northern shores towards the Minh Temple. Kirbynite: I don't know if you remember.. but today's the day of Prophecy, Teddylot. If.. I can remember what Professor Fem said.. Haruko was supposed to get some kinda.. thing from an angel.. And then she goes on a journey to save the world. *nod nod* There was this bright flash.. and the Professor went off to see what was going on... and a priest appeared in our class, and collapsed infront of us. We all got worried and decided to go. Geeze, the story just started, and there's a recap already. *sweatdrop* |

Kirbynite: Quiet, Jack!  ;Luckily for the group, they have yet to run into any monsters. The stairway to the the temple built into a mountain was coming up soon. | Kirbynite gave Haruko a dull look. Kirbynite: ... Th-that's it? Just shady?  As the gang got closer to the the stairway, Kirbynite noticed something in the environment. There were random animals laid out across the land. Apparantly, a path was made for them. Kirbynite: I guess that answers my other question.. |

| Kirbynite gave a puzzled look at the newcomer. He looked to his side and realized the priest was on his feet. Kirbynite: Whoa! He's back on his feet! Mr. Pastor dude, are you feeling alright? *looks at Janus* Uh... Well.. no one knew when Haruko was supposed to go on the journey... I guess it is a bit odd that someone's attacking the chapel at this time... But those damned Gu-Goombas make no sense to begin with! Kirbynite was gritting his teeth, and clenched his flap of a fist. Kirbynite's expression changed when he realized that they were already at the stone stairway. The pink creature looks up, and noticed a white beam is being shot out of the top of the chapel entrance. Kirbynite: We're almost there.. |

| Kirbynite immediately held out his dual stone tipped stick. He waved his free arm from one side to the other. Kirbynite: Wait a minute! You was the one that was killing all those monsters! ... You stole our EXP and Gald. But that's besides the point... Get out of our way. There are supposed to be Gu-Goombas up there... *quirks a brow* Unless.. you're one of them. |

| The pink Dreamlander looked at his own weapon the moment Dracoon looked at the stick. Kirbynite shrugged, unable to explain his reasoning. Kirbynite: Jack's being more brash than I am. I'm not about to let him do something I usually drag him into. *nod* The Dreamlander twirled his weapon and held it behind him. He leapt forward and quickly followed Jack up the stairs. Meanwhile, at the top of the stairs, infront of the Minh Temple, a group of men surrounded an old man in a lab coat. The group of men were clad in red suits, and wore armored helmets, gauntlets, and boots. In the center of the group, stood a large man with long robes. ???: Tell me... where is the Chosen? Old Man: I.. I won't tell you! Kirbynite finally manages to reach the top of the stairs. He leaps into the air, and waves his arms around. Kirbynite: Stooooop! *panting* Man.. that was one of the longest flight of stairs I've ever gone through! Geeze! |

| Soldier: Lord Botta! There she is! Kirbynite: "Bo-ta"? I should've assumed a Gu-Goomba would've had such a weird name like "Bo-ta" Soldier2: Hahaha! They think we're Gu-Goombas... Soldier3: Well then.. Die at the hands of the Gu-Goombas you hate. The soldiers quickly readied their whips and machettes. Soldier2: Get them! |

| Meanwhile, the person who was walking up the stairs finally reached the third quarter mark. However, he still had a bit more to go. Suddenly, a low, feminine voice crept up behind. him. "I see you're taking your sweet time." The voice, however, quickly disappeared. A normal person wouldn't have been able to detect in what direction she went to. ------------------ Kirbynite: Whoo! That was easy! ... We just keep meeting weird people all day. I feel kinda sad.. I didn't get to do much... Fortunately for Kirby, he was going to get a chance to use his... unique weapon. A very large man, who seemed to be ripping through his soldier uniform, stepped up, spinning around a mace. Big Buff Soldier: Do not get in our way. |

| The soldier's helm was dented pretty badly, but his enormous cranium prevented the protective head gear for caving in. It was save to say that this man was enraged. He got back up, shrugging off the debris off of him. The buffed up soldier charged towards Melvin, and swung around the spiked mace. Kirbynite decided to take the opportunity to play hero as well, and leapt into the air. A gem on the Dreamlander's right arm sparkled as his stick soared through the air. A sound piercing cracked shot throughout the area. Kirbynite found himself laid out on the floor. He rubbed his head and looked around. Kirbynite: ... My.. My weapon! Kirbynite's stick was broken in half. Not only that, but stones on the tips were broken off as well. -------------------- The man at the stairway seemed to make sure that he wasn't going to get ambushed. There was a ruffle in the nearby foilage. However, it was just a carnivorous rabbit. |

| The lumbering giant of a soldier now had a small stream of saliva down his chin. It was quite apparent that this guy was not going to give up. There was also a suspicion that this person might've been on kind of dangerous berserking potion. However, none of that mattered. What did matter was that the Big Buff Soldier got up to his feet. He staggered a bit, but still managed to lift up his mace. With a loud roar, the man leapt up into the air, and stomped the ground. A wave of dirt and grass was sent out from beneath the Gu-Goomba's feet. Kirbynite, along with some others, were sent into the air. Unfortunately for Kirby, the Dreamlander had a bit of clumsyness in him as well. He landed on his head, and rolled onto his back. Kirbynite: Man.. this.. guy is strong... Just then, a female voice yelled out "Hee-yaa!". This yell was followed by the sound of metal tearing into armor and flesh. The Big Buff Soldier had a broad sword slice across his chest, causing him to reel backwards. However, the giant didn't get a chance to recouperate. The swordsperson, who seemed to move in a red and white blurr, rushed forward and grabbed the burly man. She shook the Gu-Goomba in an up and down motion (Kirbynite could've sworn he heard her mutter "shake shake"), and then rolled onto her own back. Still gripped onto the soldier, the mystery woman implanted her red and yellow boots into the guy, and launched him into the air. That was the last they saw of the Big Buff Soldier. Botta: It's you... I see... Everyone. Retreat. And with that, the injured Gu-Goombas, along with Botta, ran off the scene. The mystery woman carefully sheethed her sword. The wind began to blow, causing her short, green hair and very long, white bandana to dance around. The sun gleamed off of her unusual, white armor. Her shoulders seemed to consist of a sphere (one for each shoulder). The bottom part of her armor flaired out like a miniskirt. Underneath her armor, she wore rather loose, red clothing. | ** Figure(Melvin) earned the title of "Mysterious Bastard" ** ** Jack earned the title of "Quick to Impress" ** ** Kirbynite earned the title of "Envious Fighter" ** ** Haruko earned the title of "Damsel in Distress" ** ** Teddylot earned the title of "Vengeful Fryingpan" ** ** Janus earned the title of "Curiously Skeptical" ** Kirbynite: This whole entire trip was strange. I'm.. so... confused. *looks at Haruko* Does that mean that she'll be able to go see that oracle thingu? Haruko's father stepped closer towards the victorious group. He wiped his name tag, which read "Gyromite", and fixed his glasses. Gyromite: Oh.. thank you so much everyone.. But.. All of the priests who were supposed to accompany the Chosen died at the hands of the Gu-Goombas.. Kirbynite: Hey! I'll protect Haruko!  I mean.. it's just a chapel..Gyromite: Kirbynite! There are monsters inside! The green haired woman finally took the opportunity to speak up. Mysterious Woman: You're Kirbynite? Kirbynite: Huh? Uh.. The Dreamlander attempted to act tough, just as the other strangers before him. Kirbynite: Well.. who are you to ask for my name? Mysterious Woman: .... | Meanwhile, Gyromite had agreed to pay Marina to protect the Chosen. Kirbynite was a bit confused at the entire matter, since he was seeing strange people appearing out of nowhere. Kirbynite looks behind him, and looked at the person sheathing his sword. Kirbynite: What is this guy-- Marina: *stepping towards the Minh Temple* Children should stay at home. This isn't a field trip, y'know. Kirbynite: Hey hey hey! I'm not a kid! I'm seventeen! Us "children" can do fine. And that guy with the guns doesn't look a year older than me! Marina: Your reaction is enough to categorize you as a child. Kirbynite: But... Grr... I'll show you who's a kid. The Dreamlander picked up the remains of his weapon. He held a stick in each hand. He then spun around, and grinded the tips of the sticks on the ground. The sticks now resembled Kendo swords. Kirbynite bolted forward, and entered the temple the moment Jack slid under Janus. Kirby slashed at the zombie, knocking off its head. Kirbynite then slashed at the ground, forcing out strong wave of energy out of the ground, and plowing through the zombie. | Kirbynite: Ok.. so the left path has been crossed out... I guess we go to the right? *holds out his sharpened sticks* Onward! ... *looks at the others* Um... Yeah... The path to the right was rather linear. There was some debris, but not enough to block the way. There were a few zombies, ghosts, and stone spitting slimes littered around, as well. At the end of the path was a flight of stairs that led underneath the very cave-like Minh Temple. Kirbynite: .. So.. um.. Why is Mr. Gun and Janus with us? | The pink Dreamlander was still a bit ruffled. Kirbynite: Haruko's gotta get some oracle thingy in here.. Me and Jack weren't gonna let Haruko go into this mosnter invested place by herself. And what're you talking about history books? I haven't cracked that thing open, but I do know that they have a Human Ranch in the forest near by. I pass it every day I go to school. .. *sweatdrop* I so hate traveling that forest alone every day... Marina relaxed one hand on her sword hilt, while the other brushed her green hair. | Marina had decided not to waste her energy in pointless arguments. Kirby, on the other hand... Kirbynite: It's where the Gu-Goombas take people, and make them suffer and such... I'm not sure what they do to them.. I know that they make them push heavy blocks around. *looks at Mr. Gun* Hey.. Aren't you supposed to be a mercenary? They usually don't, like, hang around with rag tag groups unless they're being paid.. And... Mercenaries usually go for money. |

| Kirbynite: ... The town has a peace treaty with the Gu-Goombas... But they broke it when they tried to hurt the Chosen! *nods* ... And what do you mean by that? Letting it go on outside of town? There're several human ranches all over the world.... The Dreamlander fell silent. He was trying to process the information, and the logic. He has heard of plenty of heros, but why haven't the Gu-Goombas fallen victim to the heros, before and now? Kirbynite: .. I wish I knew what we were looking for... Marina: Judging from the Mr. Gun's affiliation with self indulgence, and the echoes from Star behind us, I'd say that we're here to keep the monster population down. Kirbynite: What?! That's what the chosen was meant to do? *looks at Haruko* That can't be, right? ... Look! There's a bunch of stairs that lead down. Maybe we'll find something interestin' in there. |

| Indeed I was surprised.. Since I wasn't paying much attention to the news. This whole thing really caught me off guard. My house was very stubburn to having its electricity being shut off. Though.. I didn't miss the electricity too much, since I still had water, and I went to sleep after the eye went away. I had my electricity back about 5PM the day after. However, I still don't have my high speed internet back yet.. The network's still down... Dialup seems just fine though  Edit : Actually, I use Bellsouth DSL, not cable. Not that blessed Man, that was one heck of a storm... branches littered everywhere.. transformers all blown.. There was this one huge tree that got bent so far down that it blocked the entire street. That's something I don't want to live through... especially since you get more stress from the aftermath... Work at a super market is hell.. And even more so when you get shipped over to the gas station and have about 20 drive offs in one day (edited by Kirbynite on 08-16-04 02:48 PM) |
