He's talking about having the sprites zoomed out too much. Not in And actually, if done right, the sprites wouldn't look disasterous. I've played the GBA game, DBZ: Supersonic Warriors, and their zooming engine still makes the sprites look decent.. One shouldn't exactly expect to see every little detail from a model in such a zoomed out distance. And I've also played Four Swords Adventure, and having the screen zoomed away from all the Links still look good. (A lot better than the DBZ game)

Personally, I'd love to see a sprite based Smash Bros. game. Fluidity shouldn't be a problem if Hal's making it. I mean, them sprite based fighters look beautiful, and everything seems to move fluidily.

*wishes for a sprite based Smash Bros. game*

Hm.... It's got a veeery slow start..

Though... it feels a bit better after that slow start... It sounds like it'd be perfect for an opening... Just like how the original song was

I think he's got a rocket backpack in one of the games... Probably the third one..

Anyway.. I think the game is fun, despite the fact that there's some originality issues. Then again, I'm a sucker for platformers ;

How would classes work on a Mario themed board?

Man, I can't believe it took m 70 hours to get most of the side quests and basically ready to take on the last boss. Had I been using FAQs and such, I'm sure I would've had less time, but still.. the amount of time I clocked in this game was incredible.

I love this game.. The characters and the story were both great.. I'm slightly iffy on the voice acting... And I wish they would've worked A LOT more on the cutscene presentation. It felt like watching dolls move around from time to time. Though.. there were times where it worked. Despite that, I loved the game. I wish they would've had a Combo Command thing so I wouldn't have to keep changing my shortcuts for when i felt like using a different move

First game that's taken me more than a week to beat. *bows* Thank you, Namco. Thank you for your story, cameos, and plot twists. I honestly think this game kinda breaks some kinda ground.. especially with the main character actually thinking despite how airheaded he is.

I'm on my second playthrough, and things have been quite different this time around. I changed some of my actions, and I've caused the story to be a bit altered. After some hard work, I got the fortune teller in Triet to say that Colette has some faith in me, and Sheena being my soulmate. ^____^ I even got a "Combo!" skit involving Lloyd and Sheena.

Also.. instead of going back to Palmacosta during a certain scenario at the Palmacosta Ranch, I decided to just force my way in through the front doors of the ranch. And.. it actually worked. The dialogue was changed, and there was different people.

It's nice to see the programmers weren't lazy in dealing with stuff one normally wouldn't do...

A big dull look appeared on Kirbynite's face.

Kirbynite: You couldn't resist, could you?

The Dreamlander looks around the Souja. He looked for an entrance as well.

Kirbynite: Say.. can't we just.. phase in there or something? Or are we supposd to use a key.. or a key phrase like Open Sesame Seed?

Sheena does not deserve those hideous clothes How dare Zelos do that to her. *snorts*

And.. you're kinda screwed, mrmenz.. You need the first controller. You can move stuff in the menu with the other ports, but first port does everything. I advise you to get it fixed, or something.

((Well.. here we go.. yet another attempt at making a story that'll try to bring some other kind of life into the forum. This story is kinda.. inspired by Tales of Symphonia. I suggest you go out and buy the game. If you can't, then avoid going to places like GameFAQs. Trust me. It's a lot better to read about spoilers when you're engrossed in a story than it is to see someone blatantly yell it out ))

This is an alternate universe.. But.. it's kinda.. not. There's still the planet PopStar (Edit: but we're on EARTH ) .. But.. some things are different. For example.. the world is actually two worlds that exist on different planes. One world is blessed with modern technology and advanced magic. The other world... well.. it isn't doing too well. The land wasn't exactly advanced.. and yet, there is still some form of technology. There was still robots.

Oh.. this is starting to sound like a story intro.. I might as well go with it! *takes out a lamp, and a book, and starts reading outloud*

Once upon a time. There existed a giant tree that was the source of mana.

A war, however caused this tree to wither away, and a hero's life was scarificed to take its place. Grieving over the loss, the goddess disappeared into the heavens. She edicted to the world:

"You must wake me, for if I should sleep, the world shall be destroyed."

The angels bore the Chosen, one who would head towards the tower that reached up to the heavens. And that marked the beginning of the regeneration of the world.

------------------

"Kirbynite, wake up! Kirby!"

Kirbynite was standing in the back of a classroom, with a bucket in each hand. He was lightly snoring, entranced by the warm light that flooded the room through the window behind him. Unfortunately for the pink Dreamlander, a deadly chalkboard eraser smacked him in the face, tearing him away from his dreams.

Kirbynite: Gah!

A blurred vision of a white labcoat, blue shirt, and a purple skirt appeared before Kirbynite. The blurriness began to fade away as the Dreamlander realized trouble was coming his way. The woman gave Kirbynite an irritated look, as her short, golden hair bounced with each step of her black boots.

????: ..... How do you manage to sleep standing?

Kirbynite: Oh! Professor Fem.. eh.. is class over?

The classroom silently giggled from the confused, pink student's comment. The teacher shakes her head and starts walking back to the front of the class.

Fem: *sighs* Never mind. Let's have someone else answer the question. Jack, how about you?

Jack: Yes, Fem.

A blue vested boy, with spiked up, silvery-white hair, stood up from his seat. The classroom quickly became quiet as they noticed the white shirt and faded jeans appearing before them.

Jack: Zappa T., the hero, brought about the end of the Ancient War in the Holy Ground of Dreamland. *sits back down*

Fem: Correct. Afterwards, Zappa T., the hero, formed a pact with the Goddess Minh to seal away the Gu Goombas whom caused the war.

Kirbynite: But the Gu Goombas came back and are now causing everyone to suffer!!

Fem: We covered that in class last time. When mana weakens, the Gu Goombas reappear.

Kirbynie: I... I knew that! I.. just forgot..

Fem: Today is the Day of Prophecy. It is a very important day, which the chosen of Mana will receive an oracle from the Goddess Minh. Now Chosen One... Haruko.

Haruko: Yes, ma'am.

Fem: Tell us the journey of regeneration.

All eyes turned onto the blonde, long haired girl in the center of the class. It's hard not attract attention with a pink spaghetti strap shirt that was brighter than Kirbynite's rosiness. Unlike her fellow classmate before her, Haruko's jeans were completely blue.

Haruko: It is a journey to seal the Gu Goombas. Upon passing the trials of the Goddess Minh, mana is brought back, and Minh is reawakened.

Haruko gives Jack a quick glance. Jack catches it, and gives her a smile right before the Chosen sits down.

Fem: Correct. I suppose we should expect the Chosen herself to know the answer to that one. Mana depletion is the cause of the current food shortages and droughts. It is said that this occurs because the Gu Goombas consume vast amounts of mana in their human ranches. The Chosen's journey has two purposes-- to revive mana, as well as defeat the Gu Goombas. Now, for the next question--

A flash of bright light quickly catches everyone's attention. The classroom begins to breakout in a roar of chattering. Kirbynite looks out the window to see what was happening outside.

Fem: Settle down. It would seem that the time for the oracle has come. I will go and check on the chapel. Everyone, stay here and study on your own. Understood?

And with that.. Fem ran out. The students decided to take the oppurtunity to slack off and chat amongst each other.

** Haruko gained the title of Klutz **

Kirbynite put down the buckets of water in a corner of the room. He was sure he didn't need to carry on his punishment. He let out a quick sigh, and stared out the window.

The Dreamlander turned around, and grabbed his red cap, which was laying on his desk. He grabbed his yellow backpack and made his way towards the door.

Kirbynite: Hey, if anyone asks, I'm off to do some research!

Kirbynite: Oh, come on! ....

Kirbynite sees the look Jack is giving him. The Dreamlander decided to give up. Just then, the door swung open, nearly knocking over the pink creature nearby. An old man, in white robes and a white hat, walked towards the center of the class, and collapses onto the ground.

Kirbynite: Whoa! Not cool!

Priest: ... The... chapel... is under attack..

Kirbynite: .. I bet the Goombas are doing this!

Priest: ... I.. wish.. I could've... pro.. protected the Chos......

The priest laid on the ground, motionless. Kirbynite felt a bit confused. Everything happened all at once.

Kirbynite shook his head as Haruko got back up to her feet. He looked at the priest and looked at the rest of the class.

Kirbynite: Hey! Someone get this guy some help! I'm gonna go to the chapel, too.

The Dreamlander grabs a stick with two stones tied on each end. Making sure he doesn't trip over the priest himself, Kirbynite leapt out the door.

Running around the school, Kirbynite managed to catch up to Haruko and Jack. However, he noticed that the two weren't running anymore.

Kirbynite: Huh? What's going on?

Kirby's eyes widened up as he realized a zombie and a ghost, which almost looks like its wearing a sheet over its head, was making their way into the village.

Kirbynite: Whoa! What're monsters doing here?

Kirbynite swung his dual-stoned stick and points at Teddylot.

Kirbynite: Whoa! I thought you were a monster.... Didn't you see that flash of light, Teddy? Something's going on at the Minh Temple, and Jack's sister went off towards it. ... I guess I'm taking this as an excuse for adventure.. But I'm also trying to help someone in need!

The Dreamlander nods with a slight sweatdrop. Kirbynite finally joins Jack in the battle and lunges at the ghost with his crude weapon. Strangely enough, the ghost was eating dirt as the strange combination of wood and stone smacked it into the ground. Kirbynite then punted the ghost towards the zombie.

Kirbynite: *sweatdrop* Someone with magic, you can finish this anytime now.

Kirbynite: Hey hey! Nice job, Teddy!

Unfortunately for Kirbynite, his moment of laughter was dashed when he was smacked across the face. The Dreamlander rolled around the ground, and quickly searched for the source of the attack.

Kirbynite: ... It's that ghost! Argh..

Kirbynite opened up his mouth, and began inhaling the air. Pebbles and grass were quickly lifted into the air and sucked into the abyss of the pink creature's stomach. In a few seconds, Kirby tumbled backwards. He had caught the ghost that was causing trouble. He turned towards the nearby zombie, and spat out the ghost, which was now visible in a starrish shape. The ghost dissolved into the air, while the zombie decomposed and returned to the earth.

Kirbynite: Phew... Now that that's over with... Come on, let's go! I'll explain everything to you while we're running, Teddylot.

-----------------------

Meanwhile, the skeletons that Janus and the priest fought had slowly turned into dust. The pair were fortunate enough not to deal with the humonoid demons anymore, however, they still had to deal with the demonic wildlife. Luckily, the monsters only consisted of big wolves, carnivorous rabbits, and very hungry eagles.

Eventually, everyone wound up in what seems to be a system of sewers. However, it was a rather large area that didn't have too much water running. There were Skulltulas, though.
