| I'd like to add Detective Grey into the mix, in my fight... I'm debating whether or not he should be playable, but if I'm gonna have a story-based fight with Mewtwo (which I intend to), it wouldn't make any sense if Det. Grey didn't take some kind of role. |

| Schwa: "----EEEEEELLLP!!!!!!!" Janus: "GAH!" The besuited warrior awoke from his bed with a start, the psionic ping screaming through his head like a siren. Gasping in deep breaths and clutching Satchel to him tightly, he looked around. Detective Grey's office apartment. Nothing wrong. But that scream definitely sounded like Schwa. And something felt really, really wrong.... Grey: "Janus, what the bloody hell are you doing, screaming that loudly at this time of night?" Detective Grey threw open the door of Janus' bedroom, clearly agitated at his friend's outburst. Having thrown on his coat (it was pretty cold in Grey's apartment, since he couldn't exactly afford heating...) and clothes to keep warm, Grey was a touch pissed to find that Janus had screamed for absolutely no reason at 3 in the morning... Janus: "Something's wrong. Something feels wrong, and I heard Schwa screaming..." Grey: "Schwa? Who the hell is Schwa?" Janus jumped out of his bed and reached into Satchel, pulling out Red's Suit, Green's Shoes, and Blue's Sunglasses. He'd need them. Janus: "No time to explain. We've got to get to Crystal Psipalace! Come on!" Grey: "What? What are you talking abo---!" But he didn't have time to finish his sentence, as he was pulled through a portal by Janus, and both of them tumbled out at Schwa's feet in the main hall of Crystal Psipalace. Janus: "Locking onto that kind of energy wasn't too hard... Schwa, what's going on? It feels like this place is falling to the ground!" |

Janus: "I.... Dammit!" |
In a moment of panic, Janus heaves Red onto his shoulder and stands on Satchel, using it as a hoverboard to zero in on Green's location! El Gigante's fist passes just over his head, nearly knocking Janus off balance with the sheer wind of the blow. He then does something incredible: He hurls the unconscious Red high into the air (he IS wearing a carbon copy of Red's power suit, after all) and goes into his buzzsaw-like attack, but doesn't aim it at Ada and Kooriko, instead slicing between them and slamming the ground in the center of the three fighters as hard as he can, causing a forceful blow to scatter sand everywhere, and knock Green out of the way of their attacks. By hurting Green a little, he saved him from being sliced to ribbons by the two wolves' attacks... As Green is blown backward, Janus comes out of his buzzsaw attack with several aerial frontflips, and during the flips chucks his hammer upwards to meet the falling Red and catch him. Satchel then lowers itself to the ground with Red in tow, and the three fighters are regrouped! Janus: "Alright, Jason... I need you to charge up Evan here. Then we can talk tactics." Green looks at Janus with an exasperated expression on his face... "What? If I hadn't saved his butt, he'd be shadow meat by now. You know that." Green shakes his head and furrows his brow, laying his hands on Red and using the same defibrillating technique that woke Janus up. As the electricity surges through him, Red awakens with a start. Not necessarily healed, but not useless, either. Red: "What what now? Oh... Janus, what the hell was that? Attacking me instead of them? I... Hey, I'm out of the shadows..." Janus: "Exactly. Now do you understand that you can't beat these guys alone? We need to work as a team! You're so headstrong and arrogant sometimes, I swear!" Red: "Well, it doesn't exactly help that YOU keep on hitting us in an effort to save our arses!" Janus: "Hey, if I didn't save you, Shino'd have kicked the crap out of you by now!" Red: "Oh, don't give me that, whitey! You could've found a million different ways to do that without knocking me unconscious!" Green: "STOP!!!!!" Red and Janus stopped and clapped their hands to their heads, their ears having been severely harmed by the normally mute Green's sonicboom-like voice. He never liked to speak, because it usually led to people's ears bleeding just from a few words, but this really was enough... (in a whisper): "Friends?" Janus and Red were definitely listening. The two of them, constantly squabbling like children, nodded their heads, shook hands, and realized that they had a common cause once again. But in all of this chaos, where was Jarukoth?

It's Detective Grey, popping out of his usual generic hiding spot that mysteriously seems to appear on the scene whenever danger arises! He removes his fedora, and withdraws the Star Diamond from inside it. Grinning, he tosses it into the air a few times... "Regardless of whether or not those guys beat you up, they still wouldn't have gotten the Star Diamond, since you never really had it anyway..." He then tosses the diamond in the air a final time, watches as it lands in his hat, and jams the hat back onto his head with a flourish. "Now then, what's this thing...?" He looks at the thingie around Kirby's neck and tries to pick it off him... "Is it a tracking device, or some kind of poison? They WERE ninjas, after all..." He keeps on inspecting it... "Ah, well. Seems to be a just a normal necklace. Doesn't look bad on you. I wouldn't worry too hard about not being able to get it off. Who knows, maybe it belongs to someone?" He shudders as he tries to remember what the bandits were like... "They wear some messed up masks, too. And they ride horses like you wouldn't believe! The only way I could even come close to getting them away was by hitting them from a distance, and I'm a crappy shot, for sure." His leg creaked a bit as he stepped off in the direction of the ranch... "But now that I have some help, I bet we can get it done, since technically I never failed to do it in the first place." However, he stopped a few steps into his journey, and remembered something... "Ah, dammit, I forgot about the rock! There's this gigantic rock blocking the way into the ranch, and nobody even cares enough to blow it up until like, right before the moon hits this place! The bone projectile is blown to bits by a hail of bullets that flies at Krauser, Nimue, and Hewitt... Standing in the empty stands of the arena is a man with a beaten-up detective's coat and well-torn fedora. He leaps into the arena and brandishes a pair of handguns, the instruments from which the rain of bullets came. The guns were only semi-automatic; had he really fired THAT quickly? He certainly looked familiar to Fenrir, but at the same time extremely different. Definitely not the same person that Fenrir had held a gun to some time ago... "This battle's looking a little one-sided. I think it's about time the odds were evened." Dark Grey popped a pair of clips out of his guns, and reloaded them in a matter of seconds...
