OOC: Well, Schwa, Since you never actually told me what it does....

Blue: "You are correct!"

In an instant, the storm clouds erupted into a raging rainstorm from the humidity of the area surrounding the arena (and a little bit of Blue's powers)! Blue produced from inside of his suit coat a small, pyramid-shaped object, which he had recieved during his adventures with Schwa! As the sand turned to wet mud and the rain put the arena on the course of what appeared to be a flash-flood in the making, Blue calmly explained what the object's abilities were...

"This device I received from a mission with Schwa, one of our judges. It is a rather simple device, once its powers are figured out, but its use is exemplary. The device tunes itself to the psyche of the user, you see. It changes the world around them to better suit the contents of their mind..."

The rain continued to fall around him. Blue's suit got extremely wet, of course, but he didn't care. He began sinking in the sand, and soon his feet were enveloped by the wet powdered rock.

"My mind is a fairly sad one, as I am sure you can see by this sudden change in weather. That is what it is, essentially. A weather control device. When used by one of my compatriots, the sun will shine or lightning will strike, it all depends on how the user feels at the time. I, however, have managed to control my emotions to ensure the best possible environment for my abilities! Observe!"

The raindrops that fell around him reacted to Blue's abilities. They froze in midair, combined into larger clumps of water, and the cold-hearted scientist himself stopped sinking in the sand, having formed a platform of ice and sand, which he stepped onto. The larger clumps froze into ice balls, which began revolving around him rapidly, forming a swirling shield of ice around him!

From within the arena, Grey, Janus, Red, and Green are all watching interestedly...

Red: "Wow, he figured out what that thing did? I never could quite get it under control."

Green: "...."

Janus: "Wait. You guys have had a WEATHER CONTROL DEVICE all this time, and you never once thought to use it against me?"

Red: "Well, most of the time we forgot it at home. Plus, we got it after we met Schwa, remember?"

Janus: "Oh... So then why... No, I shouldn't ask. Paradox."

Grey: "You people scare the crap out of me."

Grey: "Yoink!"

The detective took off his hat and held it out as the diamond landed neatly inside of it. He placed the hat, diamond and all, on his head, and looked around the room, having taken cover in what seemed to resemble an offline trance for the entirety of the battle.

"What?"

Malfoy: "You'll like the Slytherin Dorms, Kalar. They're very comfortable, as it should be for people of our status."

Janus: "I can imagine... And my name's Janus. Just call me that, please."

Malfoy: "I'll call you what I want to call you, Purse-boy."

The whole "evil" thing still didn't sit well with Janus, and as Malfoy glared the daggers Nakase was supposed to be glaring at Kirby, Janus decided the best tactical maneuver at this point would be to shut up and observe.

Crabbe and Goyle, for that was what the two flesh-walls that kept Malfoy safely enclosed were called, walked in front of Janus, and would have blocked his view, were it not for the fact that Janus was a good foot taller than all of them. Needless to say, the intimidation aspect was mysteriously missing from their performance. Janus didn't mind. He figured he'd let Malfoy have his fun.

All of the Slytherins followed their prefects up to the Slytherin portrait, as the prefects shouted out the new password for the year...

OOC: Sorry, it just seemed like the last few minutes of the day were gonna pass before something actually happened...

Kalar: "Urgh! Play it, you fool!"

He swings his scythe, and opens a portal into the past...

"If you don't do something, I'm leaving on my own!"

Janus: "Indeed I am. Janus, Bringer of the Grey Dawn, at your service."

He picked up his duffel-bag friend, slung him over his shoulder, and scooted off of the air vent he was sitting on. Janus then walked up to Callean, and extended his hand in a handshake.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Perhaps I can ask you a few questions."

Callean seemed different than the other warriors Janus had met. For the first time in a long time, Janus wasn't greeted with ardent bloodlust. It intrigued him...

As his portal to the past closed from the ball of energy, Kalar backed away from the masked girl, an expression of sheer terror on his face...

Kalar: "Ah.... Can't do that one again before the moon hits..."

His metal arm glistened from the light of the falling moon as he looked, panicked, at the dancing wooden puffball.

"Well, I'm fresh out of ideas. Do what you want, man!"

Blue: "I will prove to them that I am strong!"

The balls of ice swirled faster and faster, and more balls formed around Blue, until eventually he was almost unseen among them. He stepped forward on top of the mud, every footfall landing on a newly-formed sheet of ice. Blue moved slowly -- it was tough to keep this level of concentration and move quickly at the same time, even for someone with his mental capabilities...

As he got closer and closer to DarkSlaya, Blue's revolving iceball shield began to expand ever so slightly. More and more ice gathered around him, and the existing iceballs grew to the size of basketballs, still swirling with the same speed. A drop of sweat froze to Blue's brow as the intense cold complemented his ardent focus...

And from the stands...

Red: "This isn't like John... He's not usually this aggressive."

Janus: "Maybe he's gotten sick of you and Jason always putting down his skills."

Red: "Doubtful. He was pretty much correct, he's got extremely good emotional control. The odds of John flipping out on somebody due to some kind of repressed anger, especially in a setting like this tournament, are slim to nil. Something's gotta be wrong."

Grey: "Maybe he's conducting some kind of experiement?"

Red: "Possibly. John's never really been able to test himself in a controlled setting like this tournament."

Janus: "Ick... Well, Evan, for everyone's sakes, let's hope he doesn't get angry. If that device came from someone associated with Schwa, chances are it's pretty volatile when anger comes into play."

Red: "You don't have to tell me, of all people, that."

Janus nodded as they all solemnly watched Blue in action...

Blue: "Ice Golem!!!"

Instantly, the collection of iceballs all converged on Blue, completely encasing him in ice! A second later, a rush of wind blew outward from the ice case, and a humanoid creature made entirely of iceballs unfolded, standing 20 feet tall with Blue enshelled in its torso, controlling its every movement!

"Tip of the iceberg, noble adversary, tip of the iceberg!"

The golem, standing shin-deep in the layer of mud, waded towards DarkSlaya with ease, and took a swing at him with a massive fist of ice! The golem's movements were slow, but one hit with a fist that size and DarkSlaya would be sent flying, for sure...

Red's eyes widened as he watched his best friend create a giant ice mech before his very eyes... Of all people, Red knew Blue the best, and yet he had never seen anything like this before.

Red: "Well. That's new."

Janus: "And unhealthy."

Green: "....."

Red: "He never told me he could do that."

Grey: "I think that was the point, man. Look how impressed you are now."

Red: "Touche..."

Trapster: The Goonies was a movie made in the 1980s about a bunch of naive kids who go on a treasure hunt. The cast screams "Trapster".

Dark Vampriel reminds me of my friend Amanda.

Toxic reminds me of a stereotypical jock.... BUT HE ISNT

Anya actually reminds me of my older sister.... But only in appearance. She's much more like some of my other friends in personality.

Ziff.... I'm thinking George Orwell/Eric Blair in passion, but polar opposite in beliefs.

So what do you guys think about supplements? I'm no good at scrounging for food with the whole vegetarian thing, and I'm really suffering as far as some of my essential vitamins and minerals go, since I'm lacking iron and protein. Any suggestions?

Ha, after the whole starving incident I ended up with last year, I'm kinda wary about changing my eating habits again.

As far as fitness goes, though, there are a few things about losing weight through diet only that I can't stand. Namely, you don't really look much thinner after a while. I always feel like my skin's hanging off my bones because I've lost so much body fat. That's why I like exercising, it makes me feel like I'm not a bag of bones after a while.

I think he's referring to Scar's arm tattoo, or a transfiguration circle of some sort.

EDIT: Oh, and Triforce to the hand WOULD be cool, but I think we can all agree that when we think of Nick, we think of Star Wars. Get the symbol on your right shoulder/upper arm. That'd look badass.

I think marriage is a right so long as you have someone to marry, Geogree. That goes without saying.

Kas's case is especially difficult. Think about this: When you were younger, you dreamt of falling in love and getting married and stuff, right? It was always "fall in love, get married". You'd fall in love, and you'd marry the one you loved, even before you recognized what marriage was about legally or religiously.

Suddenly, it hits you, you fall in love. You wanna get married, because you're in love, right? But there's a problem: You just happen to have the same genitals as the person you love.

This is a purely physical problem, if you can even call it that. Marriage, and religion in general, is supposed to be spiritual, isn't it? What does your body have to do with your soul or spirit? If you're a soul in love with another soul, then what should your body have to do with that? In the end we all ditch our physical bodies anyway, assuming your beliefs allow you to get rid of that body and join some kind of deity in paradise for all eternity.

So why can't two souls be together? Just because their bodies are the same, their souls can't be united? Nice religion. Using physical differences and socially-imposed deviance as an excuse to deny a religious and legal right to people who are essentially the same as everyone else is like saying two people with blonde hair can't be together, or two people with brown hair can't be together. When it boils down to it, their hair is determined by their genetics, and so is their gender, yet they're discriminated for their gender, but not their hair color.

Really, very nice.
