The ones that get banned get banned for a good reason, there's no doubt about that.

Take, for example, Samur4iX. Several of the staff members know him from tRO, and there are times when he causes trouble there. Not only that, but if you take a look in the officer's club, he out and out insulted Valcion, who already had problems with him from RO.

Then there's Scyther, who just keeps on reregistering.

The people who are obvious joke users, like this guy or this guy are good examples, as well.

Then there's people who reregister when they've been banned for a long time, like him. Personally, I don't think that's such a bad offense, if someone's been gone for a long time there's a chance he or she might have learned his or her lesson in their forced absence. Still, it's breaking the rules, no matter what you do.

I'm a new user too... In fact, technically newer than you, even though we registered around the same time. I've always seen the staff here as tolerant, and willing to accept a complaint, regardless of the possible lesser status I hold as a newer user.

Plus, even older users can get banned. Look at Legion, sadly enough...

I didn't mean it in a way that said that it was unfair, I learned a bit more about what happened behind his ban and changed my stance on it.

What I meant by it was that the oldest users aren't exempt from the rules, and it's sad to see someone who obviously knows the rules break them anyway.

I still don't quite understand why you have an alternate account anyway. It's obviously against the rules, so what were the circumstances?

Am I the only one who noticed the Melvin reference?

Good game, Kawa. A bit more of a mind game than one would think, and a bit less of a porn game than another would think.

Will there be trick questions in the full version?

Well..... Exercise and sports are kinda two different things. Plus, the sports forum is more for professional sports and entertainment, right?

I guess Rydain's idea would work for me.

EDIT: I stand corrected.

(If someone could sticky this, I'd appreciate it. This is something I wanna try as per a suggestion in the Help section)

Well, this is a thread where you can put exactly what the title entails.

Got a recipe that you'd like to share? Put it here.
Fitness tips to help lose weight? We'd love to have it.
Home-cooked remedies for common colds? Sure thing!

In any case, I'm personally really interested in what the rest of the world eats. Food and eating healthily in general is a big part of my life, so let's hear it!

Maybe as far as a trick question goes, you could have one catgirl that doesn't want you to say the obvious answer, or something...

Or you could incorporate a system where certain catgirls are unlocked based on your answers to previous girls?

The Giant Cactuar fight in FF8 was one of the only really cool parts of the game. I liked it because it was a difficult fight, I must've taken half an hour to beat him.

Maybe I was just REALLY weak... Was he supposed to be hard?

Did the shop belong to the constable and he was exiting it from the backdoor just as he was closing it up?

Grey suddenly asks a rules-based question...

Grey: "Say, if you fight a monster that can only be hurt by magic, but you've got no magic spells per se, that means you can't actually fight it, right?"

He then looks over at ziratha...

"So... ziratha wouldn't be able to deal his 4 points of magical attack power at all, because he doesn't have a spell?"

Janus: "Alright, guys, let's break it down."

The five men were standing in the wings of the arena before the battle began... DarkSlaya was already on the field, of course. Sand everywhere... Who would go this time?

Grey: "Are you gonna fight, this time? Can you PLEASE fight, this time?"

Detective Grey, still visibly shaken from his battle with Dracoon, in which a last-second save by Satchel managed to keep his head on his shoulders, looked at Janus, full of fear. He sure as heck didn't want to join in on this one...

Just then, Agent Blue spoke...

Blue: "Actually, I would appreciate it if I were able to engage the foe, this time."

Red looked at him incredulously, along with Green.

Red: "You mean, alone? You're not all that good in a battle by yourself, you know."

Blue: "It has already been proven that I would not have been able to defeat Dracoon in a battle. There was no reason for me to volunteer if the facts lay so obviously in front of me. However, considering the situation and the opponent, I believe, if Janus is unwilling to fight, that the person with the greatest tactical advantage would be myself."

Blue's tone was cold, and calculating. His sunglasses activated and ready, he scanned the arena. Fully desert-like. The water vapor levels were impressively high, considering the warm nature of the battleground and the amount of moisture around the arena. Like a beach, without the actual ocean.

Janus: "John, I'm not too sure if this is such a good idea. You could get seriously hurt."

Blue: "Janus, you, Evan, Grey, and Jason have always considered me the weakest among all of us. Perhaps you have a misunderstanding of the term. I will show you. Alone, one Agent only has a 33% chance of winning a straight fight with someone, and as you know, that generally compiles based on our use of teamwork. However, I see various tactical advantages that raise my chances of victory to a flat fifty percent, which is considerably better than Evan's, Jason's, or Grey's."

The crowd began murmuring as DarkSlaya sat alone in the field... Blue's decision was solid. He crossed his arms, closed his eyes, and waited for Janus' assent.

Red: "Janus, let him go. He wants to, there's no reason why he shouldn't. He's a scientist, let's see him come up with his proof."

Janus sighed, and his shoulders slumped.

Janus: "I'm against it... But alright. I can't give you Satchel to help you, though. He's still not in very good condition from that last fight, and I don't want him getting hurt."

Blue's eyes narrowed as he faced the arena with a sense of stolid resignation...

Blue: "I will not require any help, Janus."

Janus smiled and placed his hand on his friend's shoulder.

Janus: "Alright, John. Give 'em hell."

Blue: "Not a chance. Far too warm."

He walked out onto the sand to face his opponent...

OOC: Sorry about the bump, but I really wanna keep this fight up. I like where it's going, even when I can't really think of another move to make.

As the explosion rocked the manhole, a figure was seen springing out of the shaft, as Grey's shoes fired again and a grappling hook flew toward a streetlight post, which he immediately swung to the top of...

Grey: "Can't say the same, myself!"

He sprung off the streetlight and high into the air, over Melvin's head, firing a trio of bullets straight downward at him!

User Grey adjusts his pinstriped suit's tie, fixes his fedora on his head, and trims his beard before turning around to address the small crowd that has formed before his new office.

Grey: "Alright, Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to welcome you all to the Sim Battle Arena, now under new management. As I have been appointed as what appears to be the new master of all that pertains to annihilating people in the realm of literature, I'd like to make a few suggestions as to the conduct of the battlers in the arena."

1: Firstoff, everything Kirbynite said still goes. He's got a good thing going on, and I'd suggest we follow the rules he set before I got here.

Grey: "As a matter of fact, my problem isn't really with how people act in their battles, it's how we act outside them that I want to make sure we keep in line. It's come to my attention that there are people on the board who think that Sim Battling is kind of dumb, or something to be looked down on. I'd like to dispel that stereotype, and show the board that Sim Battling is a good thing, an exercise in expanding a person's creative abilities. Perhaps we can generate some interest in the practice, or invite a few spectators in on the carnage? In any case..."

2: Be polite and intelligent both in and out of the arena. The best way to get new battlers is to show what kind of people the current battlers are, and if we show that we're a crowd of good people who are overall likeable characters, then that'll probably turn on some new people to the sport. Basically, if we can all learn to get along, we'll have more people to get along with.

Grey: "I want to try to get as many people into battling as possible. If we can do that, then it'll account for a crapload of diversity and imagination in our battles, and chances are even veterans might learn a thing or two, themselves... In any case, the most important thing to remember is to have fun with your battles, no matter who fights."

Before shutting his office door, Grey remembers that he forgot something...

"Ah, yes, one last thing. You'll note that the title of this thread has changed, because it has also changed purposes. It's now a complaints department, as well. If you have any complaints, you can either post them here or PM me with any difficulties you may be having, or suggestions for addendums to existing rules. Thank you, and goodnight."

Rather than slam his office door, Grey pulls a piece of time and space over himself, and disappears into nothingness.

As Blue's battle with DarkSlaya raged on, Red, Grey, and Janus took the time to observe some other battles...

Red: "So what do you make of Melvin, Grey? You fought him before..."

Grey: "......I don't want to remember it."

Janus: "Relax, Grey. You're not gonna be the one fighting him. I am. Or, to be more precise, I, I, I, I, and I will be. If everything goes well, that is."

Red and Grey looked at Janus oddly, and wondered what he was talking about...

Red: "Ok.... and what about Wellington and Johannius?"

Janus: "Well, I go way back with Wellington, so it'll be interesting to see if he's learned any new tricks. Truth be told, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what he's capable of."

Red: "...."

In a classic cutscene fadeout, the three men turned back towards the arenas to watch the battles in action...
