I got 13/14 on the first round. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

Of course, I got a 6/14 on the second round, so I'm a bit embarassed by how many things I thought were dog toys.

I was a huge fan of RA2, even on my crappy older computer it ran well, still had a lot of fun, and it holds a special place in my mind to this day. Also, nothing, NOTHING beats the Grand Cannon. Well, maybe an airstrike, but nothing on the ground beats the Grand Cannon!

So what's your favorite?

Never liked 3j all that much anyway. Actually, I really wasn't too into any of the FF games until I played IV. Then I played the original FF, and that was good. I never played II, but I played a translated version of 3j, and I was disappointed in it, it just didn't capture my interest. Still, I'm willing to give II a shot if it's finally being released stateside for GBA. What makes it different from FF?

Janus sees the fear in his foe's eyes, grins, and winks. The Hammer comes flying towards Shadow's bum rush at breakneck speed, with intent to harm and disrupt Shadow's attack.

OOC: First and foremost, you don't control my weapons. I do. But thanks anyway.

Janus: "You're tough as well. Care to attack me again?"

Janus shoulders the hammer and smiles politely at his opponent.

"It's your move, as far as I'm concerned."

Almost too slow to dodge the bullet entirely, Janus pulls himself out of the way when he sees Shadow firing and suffers a scratch across the chest. He is bleeding slightly.

Janus: "Guns, huh? Not too much I can do about that..."

'(thinking) Unfortunately this leaves me at a severe disadvantage. I'm a target if I use the bag in missile combat, and I'll never get him into proper melee if he keeps running like that. Man, I AM too dependent on my powers... But he has a rifle, which means if he wants to hit me, he'll have to stop at some point to aim, it's nearly impossible to hit someone with a rifle while moving. And while he moves, I'll move too!'

Bag at the ready, Janus unhooks the blue Materia and pockets it, enshrouding himself in the darkness once again. 'It'll also help me if he can't see me." he thinks. Janus sprints off into the darkness, listening for Shadow's movements.

Yes but RA2 and RA didn't exactly have anything to do with the tiberian series either. I always saw Generals (even though it wasn't made by the same people) as the third C&C series, myself. And either I suck at RTS games, or you're much better than me if you think the AI in the original C&C is weak.

Janus: "Hey, logic question! What happens when a large, heavy object strikes the ground at a high speed?"

Janus leaps into the air and hurls the hammer straight at the ground. The combined acceleration of gravity and Janus' throw will give the bag enough velocity to create a huge shockwave when it hits the ground. As Janus is in the air, he will be unaffected, but will not have the bag until he calls it back to him. He is not flying, and will land after the shockwave finishes.

"There's an earthquake!" He yells as he hurls the hammer.

Well said, Schwa. Nobody should define a "good" or "bad" life until they've lived it themselves. You're obviously comfortable with Aspurger's, and I'm guessing you don't like it being called a disability because of what it's done for you. I've never really heard much about autism before this thread, so I'm speaking uninformedly. I'm not sure if I have or had it, but I see many of the symptoms you've mentioned in me. Adults respect me more than children do, I get high marks in my school, I have low social skills and am picked on, though not as much as I was in elementary school. But at the same time, many of these things are common among people, so I refuse to give a self-diagnosis. I would also like to compliment your ideal that everyone with Autism is your brother or sister, that's very noble.

The trick in SMB3 6-5 is to fly with a beetle shell. Hard as hell to do, but it beats down all of those white plants. At least, I think that's the way to do it, it has been a while.

*checks his shoelaces*

Odd, mine are becoming a bit loose again. Well, that's what duct tape is for! I don't ever tie my shoes though, don't need to. They're so old that I can actually just slip them on and off (despite them being a size too small, the fact that they've been worn in so much allows me to wear them all the time). When I'm still wearing them and it's late at night, sometimes my mom gets angry at me because I haven't gotten out of my day clothes and into a pair of pajamas yet. I hate that, I should be allowed to wear my old, not-becoming-untied shoes at my own discretion.

I can't stand the cold, it's just not my style. I've always liked heat, I can take a large amount of heat before I start complaining about it, but even the slightest bit of coldness will make me shiver. That's why in the summer when I have to turn on the air conditioner I only leave it on for a little bit, so I can stay comfortably warm in my bedroom while the rest of the house freezes.

Janus lands on the opposite side of the crack from Shadow and calls the hammer back to him. As the bottom half of the arena has cracked, so has the top half. If this is indeed a closed space, then logically outside of it daylight should be shining into the crack in the arena. Shadows remain where the light from outside cannot shine, but the visibility around the crack should have increased. Janus leaps outside, onto the arena roof (at the base of the top crack) and into the light.

Janus: "I'd consider this terrain unsuitable for a battle. Let's continue this fight on more even grounds. I'm tired of thrashing around in the darkness."

Janus assumes a fighting stance again, hammer in front, and positions himself so that Shadow's accuracy with his rifle will be diminished by having to adjust his eyes to the light outside the arena.

"Bring it on!"

OOC: What exactly are you doing? Like where are you hitting me, how are you hitting me, and such. All I really got out of that was that you were trying to punch me.

Blocking the first set of punches with the bag, Janus takes the body blows and is sent backwards suspiciously far considering how much force was put into the blows.

OOC: Since I opted for the arena change, I think I'll describe the scene as well.

It was a feint. To avoid further damage from the third part of the combo, Janus rolled with the punches and used his control of the bag to drag himself backwards, making it look like he was hit far away. That's not to say he wasn't hurt, as pounding a place where he previously had a wound can cause some serious damage. The new scene of battle is forested, evergreen, with branches roughly 20 feet off the ground, high enough to leap to if one was able to get out of the arena.

Janus now decides to switch fighting styles. He removes the handle of his bag, and flips another short switch on it, causing it to expand into a quarterstaff. The bag is no longer hard, and has reverted to its previous form with the detachment of the handle. Effectively, Janus has traded the raw power coming from the weight of his bag for the speed of a staff. He runs toward Shadow and aims for a crack to Shadow's head. It's much faster than the hammer swings, but won't hit nearly as hard.

Janus: "Gladly."

Janus rushes Shadow a second time. Right before he gets to Shadow, Janus vaults over Shadow's head using the staff and lands in a crouching position. He whips out the staff, attempting to knock Shadow off his feet. If he succeeds, he'll follow up with a roundabout swing that'll slam Shadow aside as he's in the air.
