Janus: "Still... Can't see...."

Fortunately for Janus, he doesn't need to. Schwa's earthbound again...

Recalling the hammer (and fiddling with it a bit to make sure he knows which end is up), Janus puts it away, reverting it to its normal form...

"Alright, Schwa, I think it's time I show you what I've been learning these past few years. You were pretty fast back in the old days, but I wonder, can you keep up with me now?"

Janus' stance changes to one of unarmed combat potential. His eyes closed and his ears and fingers wide open, Janus is now not only listening for Schwa, but also feeling the currents in the air around him, the loss of his sight making his other senses compensate for a disadvantage. His legs spread to shoulder length, Janus advances toward Schwa's voice, and when he believes he's approached the correct spot, he strikes out with a widely-arced roundhouse kick!

OOC: Don't forget, Janus isn't physically strong, but he's lighting fast.

As Kirbynite's questions float through the air, Janus is already on top of the teleport platform.

Janus: "I know what happens next! We get teleported upward a few floors, right?"

He waits for the rest of the crew to catch up to him.

HH, can you do that on older cars? Like mine, it's a '93 Mercury Topaz, I might look into that if it's possible. Other than that, the sticky note thing seems like an excellent idea.

The four corners of the US, of course. That is, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.

By which I mean he hit the ball through those four states.

Janus continues to rage towards Schwa, trying desperately to break Psi Vortex's effects!

This time, he wastes no risk on his blindness, rushing in with a grab attack! If he manages to wrap around Schwa (which should be challenging, considering that he's still got his eyes closed), he'll unleash an electric charge from Green's Lightning!

Well, what I'm thinking is he went to the Four Corners Monument, hit the ball, and managed to smack it RIGHT on that area where the four corners meet. It's a marked spot, so he'd have to be extremely good with his shot, but it's entirely possible to hit that spot in the Four Corners Monument with a golf ball. The four states are, as previously stated, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. There's a monument there marking the location.

I hate fast food period. But there's a Burger King right across the street from every single McDonalds in my state.

In fact, there's actually a whole strip of road that's pretty much nothing but corporations..... One long main street that has a KFC, a Taco Bell, not one but two Dunkin' Donuts, the same number of Tim Horton's, a McDonalds, a Burger King, a Blockbuster Video, and at the apex of it all, a Wal-Mart.

And right down the street from the Wal-Mart is the High School.

If I had come here to hack ROMs, I'd probably have left a long time ago...

I suppose I could try it someday, I've got a few decent ideas, but I'm more content playing other people's hacks than I am with making my own, I get the feeling I'd just compare mine to everyone else's and I wouldn't be able to really enjoy it as much.

I've never ever gotten below a C on an exam, it just doesn't happen. The lowest grade I ever recieved was a C minus on my Trigonometry Midterm, but other than that, I managed to get good grades all around. I actually do better on exams than I do normal tests and quizzes, for some reason.

Though usually when I take tests in classes like my calculus class last year, I kinda abuse the ability to ask my teacher questions during exams. For example, my last test I asked a new record of questions, getting up 23 separate times in order to ask him questions about problems I didn't understand. My questions ranged from "So here I would use the formula for finding out the fluid force on a submerged vertical surface?" to "Is this the right answer?"

The best part is that he actually answers me truthfully. I still got a 76 on it though.

Parappa the Rapper. Why? It's all about the Chicken.

Heck, I have a whole list of games that probably shouldn't have been released to sane gamers. Earthbound, Jet Force Gemini, Animal Crossing, just to name a few.

Albert Odyssey is a good runner-up, too. It's quite possibly the funniest standalone RPG ever made.

Stopping short and opening his eyes, Janus sees the stars!

Janus: "Whoa, got kinda dark all of a sudden, did it?"

The dark, ominous looking sky, actually more attributed to Janus having his eyes closed for so long, looms above him as he carefully plans his next move in his head...

(thinking) '......Shit, I got nothing.'

A short time passes as Janus continues to gather his thoughts.

...

I said, a short time passes as Janus continues to gather his thoughts...

...Still nothing?

(still thinking) 'Yep, sorry.'

Bah, it figures. Alright, I'll get us out of this one.

Janus.... uh..... His eyes opened fully, calls his hammer back into his hands! (can you do this next part?)

(thinking) 'Sure thing!'

"Earth, eh? Now that's more like it! If you're gonna do something to the sky, though, I might as well do something to the ground!"

As the sky continues to fill with those dangerous stars, Janus in turn slams his hammer downward, kicking up clouds of dust everywhere! He then spins into a whirlwind, but begins spinning so fast that the dust quickly turns into a sandstorm, enveloping the area and sending tiny bits of earth and rock flying everywhere at high speeds! Granted, it won't really cause that much serious damage, but it's quite an annoying sting when a pebble gets flung at your head at about 60 Ks an hour...

OOC: I'd like to note that this attack isn't really so much to cause damage as it is to get rid of that accursed Psi Vortex attack.

1:Not necessarily agreed. If Alucard really were the Anti-Christ himself, why would Integra use him? Furthermore, why would the Round Table members let her keep him if he were so dangerous? I think her imprisonment stems more from her rebellion against the crown, and the treason that she committed during the last few episodes.

2: A L U C A R D = D R A C U L A backwards (I know you know that). Methinks Alucard's pride in vampires stems from him actually being Dracula himself, or at least a built up incarnation of him.

3: Keep in mind what was left of the Hellsing Organization after the last episode. As I recall, the only surviving members are Seras, Integra, Walter, and Alucard himself. Everyone else died horribly. How can Hellsing still be alive?

4: I didn't really think Incognito's presence on a whole made any sense anyway. Mind explaining that one a bit?

5: Sure, why not?

I think Hellsing was built to be confusing, as many animes and mangas are. Personally, I'm gonna read the manga. As is the case with many conversions, the manga usually explains more than the anime is willing to, mainly because they're not limited in scope or censorship.

He's got a point; Foreign policy has dwindled since the days of WWII, when we decided to send a horrifying human wall at fortified France.

And then there was the Korean War, the Cold War, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Cambodia, and the list keeps growing. "Global Law" can't really exist because every country has a different set of values.

Anything Command and Conquer. Starcraft, Warcraft, Gunbound, Morrowind, Ragnarok, SimCity, and one crapload of a lot more.

If you have the funds, I'd suggest all of these, they're no brainers as far as entertainment goes. Do you have any personal preferences?

Also, if you liked Jedi Outcast, try Battlefront. It's gold.

OOC: Well, ever since I broke the fourth wall in that battle where I called out Xzion, I figured it'd be a neat little addition to my fighting style.

Pow! As the first fireball hits the sandstorm, Janus whirls out of his cyclone, the force of the explosion jarring him to the side. As he falls to the ground, the wind and earth that previously surrounded him almost seemed to be absorbed into his body, as though he were charging something up. Though still raging, the sandstorm will die down and weaken soon.... That means he's gonna have to work fast.

Janus: "Right, first two elements are taken care of. That just leaves fire, water, and electricity... Heh, what was it they said about colored light...?"

Looking into the skies, Janus focuses, trying to keep his mind on those fireballs. He then gets another idea...

"I see.... I won't even have to work that hard for the fire element, either... I hope."

Janus waits for the fireballs to fall!

Well, as far as black and white goes, trust me, you're not all that strange. A friend of mine is one of the toughest Magic players I know, he runs a black/white Cleric Prevention deck.

Myself, I use a blue/artifact hybrid deck, with counterspells and such. Of course, my best trick is pulling out Memnarch, Konda's banner, and a few other surprises, and stealing my foe's creatures while powering up everything on the board (since in our house rules colorless is a color and artifact is a creature type. It makes for some devastating disadvantages due to being vulnerable to stuff like extinction, but it's fun).

I like to keep my style lighthearted, though.... It's no fun when you're writing depressedly all the time. Take, for example, my breaking of the fourth wall in the fight I'm currently in with Schwa. I didn't do it as a combat tactic, I did it for laughs, I figured it'd be funny to have my character argue with his narrative for a few lines, it gives him more, well, character.

If you're looking for extended fights, the Story Forum actually has many of them, a lot of stories are very combat-oriented, and they last for extremely long times in many cases. Most of our SBs are just quick duels, by your standards. But I'd love to challenge you sometime, I'm an aspiring writer myself, and I'd like to see what I can do when I'm placed in a situation where I have to describe my every move to my foe.
