Janus: "Ah, yes, that gives me an idea... *ahem* Freeze it."

Janus stepped outside the flow of time. Time kept moving, but it moved without him for a good instant. In this instant, in Janus' perspective, Time stopped. The beam of energy stopped. Janus stopped, then realized he could move. The Time Elemental didn't stop. Shit. The Time Elemental was supposed to stop. Why didn't he stop? That's not really a good thing. I mean, the time beam stopped, Janus is still moving so he was able to get out of the way, but what the heck? The Time Elemental was supposed to stop too... Oh, right, time attacks don't hurt something that has total control over the flow of time. Anyway, I should stop mindlessly bantering and start narrating again.

Janus moved out the the way of the beam, perplexed at the Time Elemental's inability to be affected by his Sidestep! Janus can certainly move outside the normal flow of time, but does this creature exist outside the flow of time? He wonders.... And even as time resumes its normal pace, casting a sidelong glance at Janus and mumbling "eh, whatever..." under its breath, Janus' attack is still not ready yet!

OOC: Sorry for controlling your character here a bit, I kinda figured he wouldn't really be affected by Janus Sidestepping, so I just went with the idea.

This thing was definitely faster than Janus, which is surprising, considering how fast Janus is. Either way, Janus was caught heavily off guard. Managing to dodge the thrust with relative ease, he was knocked hard to the side by the horizontal swing and sent flying. The fact of the matter is, he's just too tired! He is knocked to the ground, skidding. As he looks up, he notices the tombstone sitting next to him...

Janus: "Damn... I'm gonna die again... Heh, I bet Red's turning in his grave right now. He didn't die of old age..."

Janus picks himself up, and continues thinking hard. He's almost got an idea, but it's risky. Very, very risky.

Yay for Melvin being back. Maybe now you'll continue your Wack-a-Clone fight, that was turning into something really interesting.

You do your RO...I've got my SM and my PS2 and my fics keeping me company...you go whack your Porings monotonously...

The irony of that situation is that I'm too busy doing homework to go whack porings. And I have a PS2 and fics to keep me company, too... The fics just suck. What's SM stand for?

Cool, I hate my poetry too.

Actually, I was really more pissed off at the fact that I was forced to write poetry for an english assignment, they always force you to rhyme in these assignments and it has to be cheesy, or else they don't accept it. I remember this one time in my 10th grade english class we did an entire unit on poetic practices, and of course we were all made to write not one, but five poems. And they were the crappy kind, too, like Diamantes and Acrostic poems, or Quadrains and Couplets.

That's the problem with poetry, it can't be forced but a lot of people force themselves to write it anyway, especially in english classes. Still, I'm sorry for saying that, in hindsight I was being very rash in my statements.

Grey teleports back onto the scene of the fight, blows a hole in the Fourth Wall, and continues his explanation.

Grey: "I thought I'd just call you out. I'm not really a fan of your technique, so I figured I'd challenge you publicly to a battle. Special rules, of course. It's pretty simple. Me. Alone, Grey, as you see me, against anything you can conjure up. And I mean literally conjure. Basically, your offensive capabilities will be determined by just how vivid, creative, and most importantly coherent your attacks are. In turn, my defenses will be based on the same. And, of course, there needs to be a judge. I'll work on that one myself. The choice is yours. Do you accept my challenge?"

Before Xzion can answer, Grey repairs his hole and teleports out again...

Red: "Wha--?!"

His flaming rampage temporarily put to a stop, Red stares in awe at the black sphere before him, realizing instantly that his decision was a bad one.

"Uh.... Did I really do THAT much damage...?"

Red looks behind him... Yeah. Yeah he did. In this case, the term "carried away" appears to be an understatement. Red's biggest problem always was that he would tend to lose control of himself in situations like this, and there appeared to be no exception this time. As his mood died, so did the destruction around him, the flames he spread he slowly watched die, as he sank to his knees in a fit of remorseful paralysis...

"Did I... do that...?"

He no longer notices the black sphere in front of him, or Origin rushing to clash with it...

Red: "Blue....... Blue! Come in Blue!"

Blue's communication watch crackles with static as Red's location is revealed to him. Red shakes himself out of his funk temporarily to send an S.O.S.

"Blue, we're in trouble here, that Tuxedomadon guy is saying something about being REAL! He wants you all dead! Well, actually he didn't really say your name there, Blue, but I'm sure he'll kill you guys too if we don't stop him! Get over here as soon as you can! It's gonna take a lot more than me and Phoenix Man there to take this thing down! S! O! S!"

The watch cuts out immediately after the message ends, and Blue looks to the rest of the group, still keeping his cool.

Blue: "Well, you heard Red. I think it is time we made our entrance."

Meanwhile, back at the city, Red sees Origin deflected from the Sphere, and rushes over to him, an idea forming in his head.

Red: "Origin, let me help! Alone, you can't hope to stand against this thing but if I give you a hand then you'll be much stronger! You're one with the flame, too, so take my flames and use them to make you more powerful!"

Red grabs Origin, whether he likes it or not, and immediately flares himself up as high as he can! Hard to believe, this man who once nearly killed Red is now being energized by him! The fires grow higher and higher, swirling madly around the two of them, and are soon transferred directly into Origin's body, pumping him up to a level of strength unknown to him before!

"Kinetic Transfer!!!"

As soon as the energy leaves Red, Red collapses to the ground, exhausted and out of strength for the time being. Origin, however, should be considerably stronger...

Janus let the beam hit him. He was sent flying backward, and wearily picked himself up. His eyes were glowing that eerie blue color...

Janus: "He.... Hehe... I finally got an idea......

In a flash, Janus' eyes grow brighter than ever! As a brilliant blue light envelops him, he doubles over, trying to control the power that's giving off the light. An inner struggle is fairly obvious at this point; it seems, however, that Janus has it under control. Suddenly, he straightens up as an azure glow erupts from him, showering the area in light! As the light spreads around him, he cries out!

"Brilliant Modification!!!"

When the light dies down, Janus can be seen clearly, a sky-blue aura around him, his hammer pointed directly at the Time Elemental! (at this point, Alkaiser's theme can be heard playing faintly in the background)

"I suppose at this point I might as well explain what I've been doing this whole time...

I borrowed techniques from three games, as you could probably see. From the first game, Kingdom Hearts, I took Ars Arcanum, an attack that will get successively stronger the more I hit with it. The second game, Pokemon Red, gave me a particularly devastating attack, Hyper Beam! The only problem there would be the long time I'd need to charge up and use it, and there's every chance that it'll miss. But that's ok, because the third attack, from Super Mario RPG, Psych Bomb, will take care of that quite easily! Simply put, by combining those three techniques together, I've developed an attack that will spray a spread of bombs that should give bigger, more rocking explosions as it hits! Of course, it needs a name... Let's see........"

While he's thinking of a name, and giving this long winded explanation, Janus has yet to realize he's wide open to attack....

OOC: Just wait it out, you'll see what happens when Janus gets cocky.

Janus: "Ah, I got it! Hyper... Psycho... Arcbomb!.......or something... Hell, forget it..."

The attack executed! Expecting a large ray of explosive fury? Well, too bad. Here's what actually happened:

Janus can't pick and choose his techniques. The near-immediate execution of a strange combination of Growl, Strike Raid, and Geno Flash is enough to prove that.

The attack came out something like this: From the front of Janus' bag, an opening in the satchel ripped. Out popped a cannon, rainbow colored, quite like Geno's Flash cannon. It fired, sending out a huge shockwave of sound directly at the Time Elemental. If it hits, it'll send the Time Elemental flying backward, at which point the soundwave should boomerang backward at the Elemental, and, unfortunately, straight at Janus, too. Regardless of what happened to the Elemental, Janus was of course hit dead on by his attack, which ripped through him and utterly devastated his internal systems, caused his V-Watch to explode, and did absolutely nothing to his armor. Janus dropped to the ground, stunned, and more than likely severely hurt.

Janus: "......ow...."

Blue: "Alright, Green! Red sounds like he is in trouble, we will need to assist! Let us go!"

Green: "Agreed! But.... I'm a bit worried about this one, what if it IS too much for us to handle?"

Blue: "That is what keeps you immature! You need to realize the maxim of the White Light! When the safety of the world, or of the lives of your friends is at stake, be prepared to give everything to save it! Now follow me!"

Blue grabs Green and runs through Yiusi's portal, emerging on the other side alongside Dracoon!

Back at the city, Red is currently weakened... slowly he reaches into the breast pocket of his suit, reveals another one of the mysterious healing devices known as a "nano", and takes it. It's not nearly as strong of a dose as the one Blue took, so he'll need to rest for some time, but Red's on the road to recovery. He places his sunglasses neatly onto his face as he lies on his back and stares upward.

Red: "Righteous..."
