Is it like a slice of a circle, where the radius is equal (making it isoceles), but the arc length is more than the hypotenuse could be? It'd be possible like that but then it'd be a pretty weird triangle.

1: A parabola, it's a quadratic equation.
2: A graph with an asymptote at (0,0), with Y approaching negative infinity before 0, and Y falling from positive infinity after zero.
3: A straight line, it's linear.

That's stretching it a bit, but it's all I could think of.

Actually, I have a friend that is impossibly destructive when using Jigglypuff. The best Rollout user I've ever seen, he just shouts out a warcry and someone dies. He has excellent control of the move, and more often than not he gives us all a run for our money. He also is a master of the sing/sleep combo.

None of the characters in either Smash Brothers game are necessarily BAD, you can beat anyone with anyone because it's so well balanced. The fact that you can't control Jigglypuff and win with it just shows that you need more practice, in a game like Melee a person should be able to defeat anyone with any character. In fact, much as I've practiced with one character more often than not I'm forced to play as characters other than my good ones.

It's awesome. No doubt about it. Basic platformer, but it's like you're constantly riding yoshi from SMW. However, the jumping feels different, it's not as heavy, and your primary form of attack is throwing eggs at your foes instead of jumping on their heads. To get eggs you eat your enemies with the tongue. There's no real life meter, instead you have to make sure you constantly have Baby Mario on your back. If you get hit, Mario flies off your back and you have to catch him before your enemies do. It also is beneficial to make sure you don't get hit because when you do, and Mario flies off your back, he begins crying. This crying is quite possibly the most annoying sound in the universe, giving a large incentive to keep the little bastard safe. Definitely worth looking for.

If Y = Z....
2Y > X
Y - X < Z
Z - X < Y
2Z > X

But that's just substitution, I just assumed you meant Y = Z when you typed YZ.

Name: Janus, Master of Mediocrity
Age: 25
Race: Anthropomorphic Personification
Gender: Male
Height (common): 6'1"
Weight (common): 170 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Short, dark grey.
Common attire: Cargo pants, white shirt, red baseball cap (looks strangely familiar).
Other info: DELETED!

The White Light:
Name: Agent Red
Age: 28
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 155 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Red (dyed; True color unknown)
Common Attire: Black pinstriped suit, sunglasses, italian shoes, immaculately worn.
Bio: Red is the leader of the feared Whitelight Squad, a secret group of three people with special abilities sent out on top secret missions to keep the earth safe. Secrecy is their main focus, and it's nearly impossible to find any trace of the three of them being at a particular location. Each of them also has control over a specific element pertaining to their codenames. Red's element is fire, which he can skillfully manipulate to dispatch his foes with ease. His suit also confers upon him superior strength, which he uses in conjunction with his fire abilities to make himself a force to be reckoned with. Cool, calm, relaxed, and a bit narcissistic, Red's brilliant plans always manage to get the job done, by hook or by crook. Just don't get him angry: Things tend to burn very easily around him. Very, very easily.

Born with the name Evan Williams to a very wealthy family, Red had several issues growing up in society's elite; his narcissism comes from his upbringing, which he tries as hard as he can to never emulate. A pyromaniac as a teenager, he would constantly be interested in things that burned, things that smoked, and things that exploded. Whenever he got mad, it'd be a habit of his to take out a lighter and just set it off, watching as the dancing flames relaxed him. His grades were exemplary, and he graduated from his local state university with a degree in chemistry; a side effect of his love for flame. He was sought out by the government for his chemical knowledge, and formed the first part of the White Light we know today. His fire abilities came from top secret government treatments, perfected over the course of decades of research, in the end making the mitochondria in his skin cells produce so much energy that he was able to set the very air around him aflame at will. A miracle of science, Red's powers are the same as Green and Blue's; the product of the government.

The White Light, however, is not entirely government affiliated. Since in order to defeat the greatest of foes one must on occasion break the law, the White Light exists outside of the government's boundaries, taking on political and tactical missions that even the top brass refuse to touch. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
Motto: "There's nothing stopping you when you're as hot as me!"

Name: Agent Blue
Age: 27
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 164 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blue (also dyed; true color unknown)
Common Attire: Same as Red's
Bio: Blue is the brains of the group, always designing some new device for the group to use. His elemental abilities, that of water and ice, combine well with his superior intellect, guaranteeing that Blue will always have a new move up his sleeve to confuse his opponents. While he has no special abilities outside his elemental control, his powerful mind more than matches Red's power suit, which Blue designed and built himself in the Whitelight HQ laboratory. Always very particular about his thoughts and actions, Blue prefers to think before doing and knows not the meaning of the word "impulse."

John Blase being his real name, and born poor and orphaned, Blue's cold attitude is the product of his surroundings. With nobody to love him, he naturally shunned love itself. As a child, he immersed himself in technical education, culturing his brilliant mind independently of parental support. Entirely self-educated through the encyclopedias and internet sources of the orphanage he resided at, Blue did not enter school until the age of 9, whereupon it was found that his capacity for learning far surpassed other children of his age. Coupled with the vast knowledge he had already amassed through sheer curiousity, he was quickly skipped several grades ahead, and ended up completing high school at the age of 13. He then went on to study at MIT and graduated with top marks and a master's degree in several forms of engineering at the tender age of 21. To date, he is the only known person ever to quadruple major in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. Considered to be a close match to the mind of Stephen Hawking himself, Blue refuses to stop learning all he can about everything there is to know. Undergoing treatment quite the opposite of Red's, Blue, rather than overproducing energy, instead can regulate his body to become extremely endothermic, leaving the air around his body extremely cold and heatless. A fitting ability for such a cold man. Blue, however, is not entirely heartless; he believes deeply in comradery and in his fellow teammates.
Motto: "Mind over matter. That is all that is required."

Name: Agent Green
Age: 15
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 138lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Green (not dyed, strangely enough)
Common attire: Same as Blue and Red, worn with slight discomfort.
Bio: Much younger than Red and Blue, Green is nervous and edgy, the new guy on the team. Still learning to control his Lightning element powers, Green has yet to fully develop his combat skills and as such is not as strong of a fighter as Red, nor as brilliant as Blue. However, don't count him out as weak, for often enough he comes through when the team needs him. His shoes, also designed by Blue, confer incredible running speeds and the ability to jump very high (due to special hydraulics placed in the heels). This makes Green the mover of the group, and his increased speed in combat is combined heavily with his lightning fast reflexes to make a quick and well rounded fighter.

Jason Miller was a fluke, an intern at the government laboratory where Red and Blue's testing was completed. Originally, Red and Blue were the only two members of the White Light, a vicious and effective combination of fire and ice. However, Miller wandered into the wrong area of the building one evening, only to find the room where the testing for the newest member of the White Light, a man who could control electricity at will, was to be done. The original Green, a brash, bold, military-type who showed no fear to his foes, was intended for the treatment. However, he chickened out at the last second (go figure) and the scientists mistook Green for the military volunteer. By some crazed kind of fortune, Green managed to survive the treatment and, considered a complete success by the scientists, was immediately drafted into the White Light, much to the disdain of Red and Blue. Since then, the two have warmed up to Green, finding him to be an able and competent lackey, willing to learn and ready to represent the heroes of tomorrow.
Motto: "Don't count me out just yet!"

Name: Janus, Explorer of Time
Age: He lost count awhile ago
Race: Anthropomorphic Personification/Time Traveling Renegade Ex-Demigod
Gender: Male
Height : 6'1"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Eyes: Permanently glowing that eerie blue color
Hair: Short, dark grey.
Attire: Strangely shaped hauberk, still wearing that red hat. Odd-patterned robes.
Other information: DELETED!

Name: Janus, Agent White
Age: Still doesn't know
Race: Anthropomorphic Personification/Time Traveling Renegade Ex-Demigod/Keeper Of The Peace In Honor Of Dead Friends
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 157 lbs
Eyes: Glowing Blue
Hair: Short, white
Attire: Red's Suit, Green's Shoes, Blue's Shades, Hauberk of Suspension, tattered red baseball cap, ugly brown duffel bag.

Bio: In this form that Janus assumes, Red, Green, and Blue are dead. Janus was a fool. He tried to take vengeance on the Radiant Order for cursing him with immortality and sealing his power inside him with the Hauberk of Suspension, but he was not strong enough to do so. As a result, his best friends, whom he took with him on his journey to defeat the evil that plagued him, were killed in the battle against the beings he opposed. Devastated, Janus retreated into hiding for a few hundred thousand years, becoming stronger and dealing with the pain of his friends' deaths. When he re-emerged into the universe, he vowed to seek revenge a second time for his friends, and now travels the depths of time and space, looking for fellows to assist him in his struggle. When he feels he's gotten strong enough, and when he feels he's accumulated a strong enough band of friends to help him, he's going to go back in time and try to save his friends and defeat his enemies. That is his purpose. That is the day he will finally be put to rest.

Name: Janus
Age: Stopped caring
Race: Trying to pass himself off as a human.
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 144 lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Short, Brown
Common Attire: Street clothes, ugly brown duffel bag

Bio: This is the Janus that currently inhabits the Sim Battle Arena and Story Forum universes. He lives with Grey, travels (and occasionally flirts) with Yiusi, fights with Star, and waits for the Grey Dawn to come. Master of Void and Time Magic, he can travel throughout time and space as he pleases, preferring to stay in one time period and trying to live a normal life as a superpowerful being. He understands that he won't be dying any time soon, and thus lives his life as it is to the fullest, enjoying whatever moments he can. Whether he's bringing his fierce rivalry with the great Star to a heel, getting angry at Grey's crazed experiments, paying Schwa a visit and studying the deeper meaning of the universe with Sensae, or cracking beneath the pressure and finally deciding to give love a shot with Yiusi, Janus is guaranteed to be anywhere or everywhere he wants to be, when he wants to be there. One night, he'll go out and live the good life with the once-feared Kalar and Garro, and the next morning wake up with a hangover and a mission to save the earth. Life's a party for Janus, and as far as he's concerned, it's just getting started.

With Satchel fully loaded, an intense training regimen care of the deadly assassin Nijote, and a vast array of artifacts and video games (both scanned and unscanned), Janus is ready to take on nearly anything that stands in his way. Guilty Gear one day, Kingdom Hearts another, all of his powers stem from what he thought was previously a childhood wasted on video games and fantasy. Where is he right this very second? Well, nobody knows. But when the world needs saving, Janus is most definitely one of the first guys you'll want to call.

One time we were all Pichu in Hyrule Temple on half damage, ten lives, and tiny melee with poison mushrooms on very high, the challenge was to see who would quit first. Another time we were all Jigglypuff and Kwonking the hell out of each other with Rollout. To determine if you're a truly good player you have to adapt to any situation, you can't call yourself good if you're just fighting in the same situations all the time.

Maddox is an internet columnist, I suppose. For the last six or so years he's been writing articles like that intended to amuse, piss people off, or just vent for himself. He does it very well, and adopts a very take-no-bullshit attitude in his manner. Problem is, you either love him or you hate him, cause he expresses his views in a very extremist and violent way. Myself I don't take him seriously, since that's what he says, not to take him seriously.

And now, a tribute to Canada.

Oh, Canada. I love that place. I've visited it twice, never regretted either trip. I've always said Toronto was like New York City except cleaner. The whole place is clean air, fresh forests, and great people.

Actually, I went to Montreal a few months ago on a trip for the school band. Stayed at a nice hotel, but I was wondering why exactly our school booked a hotel for us that just happened to be literally right next to the red light district. Our bus travelled down it, and one of my friends pointed out that there seemed to be a rather large concentration of racy enterprises next to our hotel. It was quite an adventure.

But man, Montreal at night, what a view, especially from up above. The entire city was alight with brilliant displays of electric amazement. Spotlights, streetlights, entire buildings glowed in the darkness, and I got to see it all. I'll definitely go back someday.

Mind you, I'm sure there's some obvious trick I'm missing here.

I absolutely hate Dell so damn much. I complained a bit about RDRAM in HW/SW earlier, but I'd like to blame Dell regardless of my bad purchase. Their "custom built" computers are nothing more than limited options with already crappy parts. Crappy motherboard, crappy RAM, crappy graphics card, crappy sound, hell the first thing I replaced on my computer was the mouse.

The best part of it all is, it's only a year and a half old. I'm upgrading the second I get the money. Good work Guru, it's nice to see people escape from the Dell Pit. Is it custom built?

2 or -10.

It's absolute value, so we need a way to get -6 as well as positive 6.

Eating a LOT of really cold things helps too, if you're hurting. When I got my tonsils out, I always ate a lot of popsicles. The red ones rock.

But also, cold water helps a lot too, since you can swallow it much easier than a popsicle. Keep ice in it, and heck, chew up some ice too, the important thing is to keep the swelling down with as much cold stuff as you can.

We need either -125 or positive 125, so 3X becomes either -165 or 85. Divide these by three and you get -55 or positive 28.33333333333 (a third).

What really pissed me off were the pipe maze levels, all of world 7 just threw me off so much, everything else was doable, just not world 7. Or the REAL world 8 (I could do the army, the navy, and the air force ok). How could you think those places were easy at all?
