SMRPG showed she could really kick some ass, but there wasn't enough about her aside from a liking for sneaking around that I saw. Definitely needs more of an active role.

Sneaking around? That was Paper Mario. You probably just forgot to clarify, but...

No, it was SMRPG, too, if you'll remember she snuck out of the castle while her grandma covered for her so that she could go and kick butt with the Mario party.

But still, that reinforces the liking for sneaking around. Ha, they could do a lot with that. Imagine it: Metal Gear Solid: The Princess Peach Missions.

Argh, it really does figure, it was such a beautiful day today, and then suddenly RIGHT WHEN I GET HOME the clouds have to come out. I do hate it when that happens...

Well, may as well wait until morning in case it clears up.

I've seen it, I love it. I never saw The Seven Samurai, but I do believe some of the characters are a bit cliched. I think it's kinda funny (a bit like seeing a ninja pirate) to see a robot samurai, but for some reason, Samurai 7 makes it work...

Man I'd so totally get in on this. We could have events in all sorts of games, Gunbound, Counter Strike, even ask Emuz to have another PVP tournament in the RO server. Or how about a Magic: The Gathering event through Apprentice?

EDIT: Ha, I just thought of a great idea for RO: A Track tournament through Prontera. See who's got the most precise mouse movements.

Blue teleports in, only to find that one of the people he invited has arrived before him. He looks to Draccoonx4 and seems a bit puzzled, but speaks anyway.

Blue: "You, you know Origin, correct? You may call me Agent Blue. I am from the organization, White Light. Our intelligence has dictated that he has some kind of connection with a man that I am interested in. I and my colleagues have been searching for him for quite some time now. Perhaps you can ascertain his exact location? We have been unable to find this Origin fellow since last we saw him, and I sincerely doubt I alone would be able to clash with him again, as he was perfectly capable of dispatching our leader. So instead, I was wondering if perhaps you could give some information as to a reasonably nonviolent approach? You are not alone, of course. I have called one other here to see if he can tell us anything, as well. No need to inform me now, of course, feel free to wait until he arrives."

OOC: Hold it, before you use that Spirit bomb attack, how exactly was I breaking the rules? I don't know how I am. The thing is, since you were in melee range, I guess I automatically assumed that my area effect attack would hit. Sorry. The attack's real intent would be to make Dameon covered in dirt and thus visible, leveling the playing field a bit, but it wouldn't actually cause harm to Dameon (the attack was far too unfocused). Janus' specialty is using his techniques in unorthodox ways, it's the ability that makes him stand out. As for the hammer thrust, the physics of Janus' hammer are kinda weird. He doesn't exactly HOLD the hammer so much as suspend it with his thoughts, so it moves much faster than one would think it does. That's his element of surprise. He can wield the weapon much like a kensai (IE Rurouni Kenshin if you've ever seen the anime) wields a katana, because he can move it so quickly. I just wanted to use an unorthodox weapon, since a lot of people use swords and stuff. And plus, something that heavy moving that fast is bound to hurt. As far as the open side goes, Janus is a character based entirely on speed, he's got low physical strength, but his attacks still manage to hurt because he moves the hammer more with his thoughts than his hands. Thus, the thrust that he made could easily be turned into a horizontal slash toward Dameon (who, by stabbing at Janus would make his relative location, all that is needed for a counterblow that doesn't even have to hit, quite obvious) in order to make sure Janus doesn't have a shiny new hold in his stomach. It was purely a disruptive blow, meant to make sure you don't kill me. I'm not cheating. Cheating would be teleporting out of the way and instantly cutting your head off with a blunt object, which I would rather not do. Also, accusing me of being cheap is awfully big talk coming from someone who just made himself INVISIBLE.

OOC: Man, I've always wanted to do one of these...

A large squawk filled the Pallet forest as Grey was awoken from his bed! At first, he thought it was just Blazer coming back from a hunt, but lo and behold, a Fearow with a strangely clothed young man on board was slammed into the ground not a football field's distance from his house.

Grey: "What the hell? What was that?"

Grey immediately sprung out of his bed, pulled on some clothes, and ran outside his house, only to see none other than Deoxys itself, two of them even, battling it out within the forest!

"Wow! This'll be a day to remember for sure... Blazer!!! We've got something to investigate!"

Blazer, a bright green Scyther, tore through the foliage and leaped to Grey's side. It was a bit beat-up, the survivor of many a Pokemon battle, but it definitely had both health and experience on its side. Grey never kept it in a Pokeball, honestly he didn't see the point. If he allowed it to run wild, he knew it'd get to be a strong and wise Pokemon that'd serve him well and regard him as not only a trainer, but a friend, too.

"Come on buddy, let's get moving. That's one heck of a Pokemon, and we're gonna go see just how much heck it can give!"

OOC: Where exactly does it say you have to take a hit every three attacks? It says if you have a good reason for dodging, then you can dodge. I've thoroughly explained every single action I've made in this entire fight, every maneuver I've made has had detail to it, and every dodge I've found a reason for. You just recklessly attack me with uninventive ways of fighting (stab, slash, stab, slash, stab, and slash....) that are easy to figure out and work around. Not only that, but halfway through the fight you randomly gained magic based on another character you made on another board, and have lost and regained your weapons so many times I can't count them. You've used what you call "Magic" to basically mimic my style of fighting (that of a remote weapon that the character controls), and have been incredibly cheap yourself (read: INVISIBILITY). Plus, if I did take a hit every three attacks you made, I'd be dead in a second, considering all the times you've aimed for my vitals. Why don't you read the rules yourself, or better yet ask the people who made them, and see if I'm breaking them? If I am, I'll stop the fight, take the warning, and gladly accept that you were right and I was wrong.

OOC: Not really, our time zones aren't too far apart, and I've seen times when we're all active at once. Mind if I change the arena a bit? If you object I'll edit this post.

Blue: "Arena? This is hardly an arena, take a slightly better look around you and you'll see that this is actually more of a large, empty room in a warehouse. I figured a secret place away from the public would be a better location for interrogation, in case there was a fight, which apparently there will be if I do not count my words carefully. On that note, it was very nice of you to tell me of Origin's whereabouts. We have a rather nice proposition for him..."

The way Blue said "proposition" inspires some suspicion in Dracoonx4...

"The other person, of course, is the only other man that we know that Janus has fought in the past... A young... "psi warrior", to be precise. They say that he's also been one of the few people to actually defeat Janus in battle. I wouldn't know, myself. I trust reason far more than I trust rumors, which is why I was so skeptical about the whole "psi warrior" thing... I've heard of people with the ability to hone their psychic powers, but as I've never really seen it, I don't much believe in it."

Posted on 08-13-04 08:52 PM, in Team Sim-Battle Tournament Registration Link
Janus was a bit out on his luck. The last of his money reserves were depleted, and lo and behold, he was actually hungry. Sure, he would never die of starvation, but it was quite an unpleasant feeling when he'd drop unconscious for days on end, only to naturally regain his energy after a comatose rest in the desert. Grass and leaves could only sustain a person for so long. Then he saw the advertisement...

Janus: "A fighting tournament? Hey, I'm not so bad at that, I bet the purse is pretty big, too!"

Janus rushes inside the building to register, and finds himself in line behind a rather puzzled blue puffball...

Puffball: "Team Sim-Battle.... What?"

Reading the rules, Janus realizes that in order to register, he's gonna need to form a three man team. His eyes widen as he suddenly realizes that he's only one person!

Janus: "Ah, crap on a stick! I can't do this alone! Oh.... But I'm really hungry, too.... Dammit, what am I gonna do?"

Suddenly, Janus looks to the registration sheet, then to the blue puffball in front of him, then to the registration sheet again, and finally to the blue puffball a second time... His face curls into a smile...

"Say, you seem a bit bewildered there, little fellow. This is a TEAM tournament, which means you're gonna need a few friends to do this with. I wanted to join, myself, but it appears as though I won't be able to since I don't have any partners. It seems we're both in the same situation, so I was wondering if you wanted to make a team with me? I can think of someone else we can put on the team, too. What do you think of that?"

Janus' attitude is one of friendship, fueled by a desire to both eat and make a new ally. He's got the perfect idea for a third person, too...

OOC: Schwa, I haven't played Ruby and Sapphire, only Red, Silver, and Yellow, so you're gonna have to forgive me if I ask what kind of Pokemon you're pulling out, should you use one from R/S. I realize Deoxys is a R/S Pokemon too, but I know about him, he's pretty famous.

Grey: "What? Two of them? And they're destroying everything in sight!"

Grey sees the spray of Pokemon flashing from the balls that Schwa pulled from his belt, and realizes this is gonna be a huge rumble...

Grey: "Alright, I don't know what's going on here, but I'm definitely gonna help, especially if that big Pokemon's gonna try to hurt innocent people!"

Pulling a trio of Pokeballs from his belt, Grey releases some of his best fighters; From one ball came Windy, a beautiful, red crested Pidgeot. From the second, Slink, a small, but quick and nimble Furret. And from the third, Hodge, a.... Jigglypuff?

Grey (breaking the fourth wall): "Hey, you'd be surprised at what it can do... OK, guys, ready to go?"

A chorus of irritatingly cute voices screamed out their own names in unison, as Grey sent them all off to what would probably be certain doom at the hands of Deoxys. Blazer stayed behind.

Blue scoffs at Dracoonx4 and corrects his reasoning.

Blue: "Hardly, I am only in search of Origin because when last we saw him Janus was with him. I have no concern for anything other than the whereabouts of those two people. They will help me complete my mission for sure."

Blue then looks over to Schwa and scoffs a second time.

Blue: "YOU are the man who defeated Janus in battle? You are nothing but a kid! I refuse to believe that someone such as yourself, no matter how much Virtue, Respect, and Honor you're infused with, could beat someone that all three of us have yet to even make a dent in! Are you really THAT strong?"

Blue then turns back to Dracoonx4 and looks down the barrel of his blaster with discontent.

"And as for that gun, I do not much like the way it is pointed at me, it appears as though you have an intent to harm me. Be forewarned, should you do so I will gladly defend myself."

The admins are given their powers to keep the users who would normally cause trouble in line. As far as name changes in and of themselves go, I'd rather have my name changed as part of a fad than have the ability to change it on a whim, it makes my username less special, I kind of like it the way it is, unchangeable. While Keikonium's reason for it is definitely a good one, I don't much like sending admins PMs every time a new fad pops up and I'd rather be courteous about it so that I don't feel like I'm asking too much, at the same time there are some users I'd probably never see again because I wouldn't know it's that user by their name. For awhile I forgot that Darkslaya was Cervantes, for example...

Alright, I just recently started using Kirby myself. I've found that his Dash-forward regular attack (that fireball) is an excellent sucker punch. It's almost unavoidable, causes fire damage, and it even has good damage to it. There's not much kick to it, but that's ok because that means you can pull them off rapid-fire on an opponent to rack him up high, then finish him with something like the rock attack or a forward smash.

I also like the Hammer attack, it's a good aerial disrupt, has fast recovery time (in the air), and the off-beatness of its ground attack makes it a good move to catch your opponent off guard with (he sees the hammer rear back, figures it's a free attack, gets smacked at the last possible second).

Also, does anyone here know what L-Cancelling is? I heard about it, but I don't know how to do it. And Dracoon, trust me, considering what I just said, I don't think you need to worry about playing the game too much.

Alright, I got a couple of ideas here:

Tom Nook (Fat raccoon from Animal Crossing)
Jump Description: Leaps straight into the air, flails around a bit before landing.

Normal:
A: Swipes forward
AAA: Swipes left, right, then finishes with tail swipe
A Dash: Bumps foe with fat stomach
Left/right A: Short headbutt
Down A: Tailspin
Up A: Swipes claws upward
Forward Smash: Flying body slam (reminiscent of the original Fox Smash)
Upward Smash: Slams head forward and in upward arc
Downward Smash: Slams butt on ground

Aerial:
A: Regular forward kick attack
Forward A: Spins tail around in air
Backward A: Kicks back with both feet
Up A: Flipping upward kick
Downward A: Kicks downward/slams with fatness

Throws:
A/Z while grabbing: Head knocks forward
Up: Grannytosses upward with both hands
Down: Slams on ground, quick bellyflop
Forward: Slight jump with ground slam
Backward: Slams backward, like Kirby's backward throw

Special:
B: Rollout (can be charged or let off instantly, combination of Jigglypuff's and Yoshi's)
Forward B: Nook'N'Go (Randomly throws a piece of Animal Crossing furniture at opponent)
Down B: Ground pound
Up B: Tailspin (Like Original Link's recovery move, not like SSBM link's)
