| Yeah, I know I need to do that, I'm definitely trying to work my way up, but I've found that when you stop eating, your stomach gets used to not having so much food in it, so I can't really eat as much as I used to because I get full way too fast... And after that I start to feel sick. Before Schwa can help Janus to his feet, Janus springs upward and lands -- precariously, of course... -- standing upright. He's definitely busted up, but strangely enough he somehow seems perfectly fine at the same time. Maybe he's just a good actor, maybe he really is unharmed, who knows? Well, Janus does actually. And he's definitely an excellent actor. "No, no I did not. You unleashed a bit of your real power on me, and by George, it packed a good whallop. Frankly, considering the things I've heard about you, I wasn't even half-expecting the fight you gave. I'm proud to say I could fight you tonight. Not only that, but take a look at the sky..." The sun has already risen to show a beautiful new dawn, and Janus realizes it's time for him to get moving. "I'm true to my words. It's dawn, I wasn't standing when the sun rose, and that means I lost this one. So why not call it quits for now?" Janus turns his back to Schwa, and begins a long trek away. From here his act has dropped; the years of experience are beginning to show in his gait, as he walks with the posture of a man who has seen all that the world has to offer, yet cannot leave it just yet. However, a moment later he stops and turns back to Schwa, as young as he looks. "But before I go, tell me something. You have so much power, so what do you use it for?"

The battle rules are posted right in the arena, you're pretty much allowed to fight however you want, assuming you're not cheap and you use good grammar, which you obviously seem to have. Some people don't follow the rules, but the people that do are excellent at it as well. |
Also, if you like Sim Battling, join the Story Forum as well, we need more people in there and it's almost like Sim Battling except you can decide if your attacks hit or not. Other than that, Welcome to Acmlm's!

GAI!!!!! Hot damn he rocks! For those of you who have not seen Nadesico, he's the greatest character ever in any anime ever. He doesn't have a huge part, but he definitely makes an impression. |
Mine, I gotta go with Nicholas D. Wolfwood (Trigun), about half the cast of Get Backers, Rock Lee & Gai-sensei (Naruto), and Col. Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist). Especially Col. Hughes. Nobody messes with him.

Janus grabs his hammer and concentrates for a moment, letting energy flow through it. He swings the hammer, cutting a hole in the very fabric of space and time. Stepping into the hole, he steps out in another time, another place. (thinking) 'Schwa, thank you... I've learned quite a bit tonight. I hope we meet again...'

The thrust, in fact excellently maneuvered, quickly turned into a spinning hit to the side as Dameon's sword was struck by the hammer, which moved like a katana, only with a large, heavy head. Janus: "NEVER EVER misjudge an opponent's speed, fellow." Janus leaps high into the air a second time, preparing his Earthquake Diver technique! When he hits the ground, however, instead of directing the earth in one direction, he sprays dirt out everywhere, including on Dameon. "And as much as I think it's a cheap move, being invisible won't exactly save you from me."

That's not exactly the best of the best there, Colleen. I dunno if you've seen .hack//Sign or not, but I thought the animation style on it was kinda cheap, all talk, no action. Good story though. SD Gundam was really weird, IMO, and Witch Hunter Robin is boring as all heck. Haven't seen Gundam SEED yet, I don't think... |
Yuyu Hakusho's ok, but about halfway into the series it becomes Dragon Ball Z, and does it shamelessly. Like, REALLY shamelessly. Come to think of it, no matter where you look the internet really is the best place for anime, period. Even if you have 56k, it's still much more worth it to see something like Naruto than it is to see something like Witch Hunter Robin. | |||||||||||||||||||||
