| Well, to each their own. But the battle system itself in Tactics is pretty much the same as the system in Tactics Advance, except it doesn't have laws. And you need to play the game for more than ten minutes to get a feel for it. But hey, if you don't like it, you don't like it. Sorry. | |||

| It started earlier this year, when I started skipping breakfast because it took up too much of my before school time. I found myself eating less and less, and eventually over this summer I just stopped. At first, it was fine, I wasn't really bothered by it, and I ate enough to survive. I had meals my mother cooked me, I ate lunches, it was just my breakfast. But then gradually I started giving more food to my friends, and keeping less for myself. When summer hit though, my mom was home less often, and I found myself fending for myself. It was around then I decided to try vegetarianism too, so that took a huge chunk out of my diet, there was so much meat in my house and nothing much else to eat. On occasion, like when i was with my friends, I'd eat a good bit, but when I got home it was back to scarce meals. I didn't really notice it that much either, until today. I was at Warwick Mall, playing my usual hit or two of DDR, when suddenly in the middle of a song my legs just give out on me, and i nearly fall to the mat. I grabbed the bar at the last second, and suddenly I got hit with this wave of fatigue, and I had to stop playing. It was then that I realized that the last decent meal I had was one my friend's mother cooked for me. I went home, and just now I made myself a huge sandwich with plenty of side dishes. I need to eat. I think I have a slight case of anorexia, I'm just a little afraid to eat because I'm afraid to gain weight. I lost like 15 pounds since the start of the summer vacation, and I want to keep it off. But I'm afraid that if I eat, even eat healthily, I won't be active enough to keep the weight off. I don't think I need help for this, I'm not really as afraid as I seem, it's just that I want to lose more weight and I don't want to stop eating entirely just to do so. In fact, I just realized how much I'm endangering myself for it... So yeah, from here on in I need to eat more. I'm gonna start getting my appetite back on track, so that I can have regular meals again without any danger. I can't eat as much as I used to, for some reason I just can't fit as much food in my stomach now, I think it's because I'm so used to not eating. But I have to do something before I waste away. |

| Red: "I think we'll keep Green out of this fight until he, you know, REGAINS CONSCIOUSNESS." Blue: "Perhaps a shield would be more effective than your idle claim, Red." Red: "Fine, fine...." As Spin heads for the scene, Red dashes over to where Green is, picks him up, and brings him within Blue's range. Blue then raises a huge shield of ice. While not as thick as Spin's (they can see straight through it, it's clear as glass), Blue's abilities make it a good deal denser than Spin's, meaning it'll take a LOT to break it. Green's out of the fight for now. Blue: "I believe it would be best if our young friend recuperated for a bit. I will keep the defense up, you make sure he is unharmed, Red." Red: "Sounds like a plan. Let's do it!" With that, Red goes back to his lawn chair, keeping an eye on the fight and Green at the same time. |

| I still don't quite understand, where is all this water coming from again? I remember when the ceilings leaked when I attended middle school. We used to place garbage bins beneath the leaks, and when the water got stagnant all the hallways would start getting kinda stinky. The janitors would replace the bags, but every time it rained really hard, we could always smell it. Get out of that office, man. The leaks are gonna kill you. |

| If we want to know so badly, why not just count the votes ourselves? I can understand the need for an official judge's ruling, but most of the categories are pretty obvious choices (best mod, admin, etc.). | |||

| I'd like to note that you said GUARDS the fifth star, and I can't help but see Johnny Jones and his cohorts standing in front of it. I also said right after Johnny Jones' name that Yaridovich steals it from you. Also, does that imply that we have to write out the names of every single enemy in the game? | OOC: Stabs to the chest are straight forward attacks, if I move to the side that constitutes a dodge. Obviously I couldn't complete my attack, so I sacrificed an attack on you to save my chest. Dameon appears to have forgotten that Janus' hammer was inside the tornado as well, keeping it intact. The hammer bats the sword out of the way as it flies inside, still spinning around. Suddenly, the tornado stops, Janus lunges forward to grab his hammer, and jumps upward parallel to Dameon, delivering an upward slice followed by a downward smash! As a side note, dodging in the air is relatively difficult, and from what you appear to be doing, you don't have a weapon to parry with. Good luck thinking your way out of this one. | Janus scratches his head, and recalls the previous events of the day. Janus: "Well, it all started with that old guy I left outside. I saw him rush into what I'm gonna guess was your high school, bleeding to his death. I patched him up, followed him to the chapel, and learned about these Gu-Goomba thingies. Considering the scores of undead you've all apparently found, I'm guessing you'll need all the help you can get around here. Of course, I'm not exactly an excellent fighter myself, but seeing as how the best weaponry you've all got is a large robot, a gun, and a pair of sharp sticks, I think I'll manage." Janus grins at Kirbynite and adopts a much more lighthearted tone to his voice. "What drives any of us? After all, I could say the same thing about you. I don't even know your name, and yet for some strange reason you're here waving around your weapons hoping to play hero and save the world from an attack by an enemy you've only heard about in your history books." |

| Janus immediately adopts an offensive and defensive stance, spinning into his tornado technique the instant he sees Dameon throwing his daggers. The daggers are swatted away as Janus spins, and Dameon's kick to the head is stopped by the force of the wind that Janus emits. Unless Dameon can fly, both fighters are falling, as opposed to just Janus. As he falls, Janus turns his tornado downward and screams into the earth, kicking up a wall of dirt headed straight for Dameon. "Earthquake Diver!" |

| Janus rockets out of the earth, and just barely has time to set up a defense before Schwa slams into him! Janus: "Spinning Shield!" In a manner similar to windmilling a bo staff, Janus' hammer spins around in front of him, hoping to take the attack of the Air Elemental with ease. That's not exactly the case. Schwa's Lightning Dash collides directly with the shield, and Janus grabs his hammer, holding it out in front of him as the Dash presses into the edge of the hammer (it looks a bit like Janus is connecting a hit with the hammer but instead is levering Schwa's attack away with the hammer). He skids backward, holding on with all of his strength, but it's just not enough. The hammer swings backward, taking Janus in the chest as he is hit full-force by Schwa's attack. Janus slams into the ground, skidding and rolling for a good ten yards before he finally stops. He's breathing, but not moving. |

| Janus blazes upward from the earth and rears back in midair... Janus: "Hammer Throw!" Winding up for a split second, Janus lets his hammer go flying at Dameon, not letting up on his assault. As he lands, he runs toward Dameon hoping to catch his hammer and take a second swing at Dameon, assuming his first attack doesn't miss. |

| What kind of compatibility issues? I recall I had one with Rollercoaster Tycoon for Windows XP, but I can't remember the compatibility mode that I'm supposed to run it in anyway... Will there be other problems with it like this? | |||

| OOC: An ion is an atom that has acquired a net electric charge by gaining or losing electrions. Considering most ionic reactions occur on the subatomic level, they really won't make a very effective shield. Also, what element are we talking about here? There's no such thing as an "Ion" in its raw form, you need an element to attach the ion to. Frontflipping over Dameon's foolhardy rush, Janus recalls his hammer as he lands and swings it at Dameon's back. |

| I've seen the Halo 2 video that they showed at E3, and I've seen the graphics for it and stuff, but honestly the only thing I'm really looking forward to is being able to push people off vehicles (assuming they're including that as a move in the game, they might not if that was just a fluke that Master Cheif did for story purposes...). I saw the Half Life 2 video, I was much more impressed by that. Especially the Counter Strike clip they showed at the end.... |
