| It's illegal to smoke in hospitals. Between the nurse checking on Sam and Shadow's investigation, someone must've smoked a cigarette inside the room, leaving an empty cigarette pack in there. If nobody had been in there since the nurse checked on him, it'd be likely that the cigarette pack wouldn't be in there, since the nurse would probably have taken it and anything suggesting smoking out of the room. The half eaten apple also would probably not have been there, since nurses tend to clean up after their patients. Hospital ROOMS have no need for tongue depressors, as no checkups are generally made in them by doctors. And sometimes people like to throw stuff in the trash. | OOC: This is pretty much how you chose who you're gonna fight, it's Origin vs. Red now. Just to spice things up, I'll have Janus fighting in the background, he might provide some unexpected help should the other two decide to switch targets. Janus: "Perfect! I can take the green and blue guy on easy, you just have to deal with Red! I'll keep them out of your hair if you make sure Red doesn't come after me." With a flourish of his hammer, Janus speeds toward Green and Blue, who in turn run toward him. Green, with his superspeed, naturally gets to Janus first. Attempting a lightning fast punch to Janus' head, Janus easily ducks it, and trips him with the hammer, slamming his head on the ground and knocking him out in the process. Janus: "See? All too easy." Blue: "Not quite, Janus. I would suggest not trying that same attack again against me." He looks to Origin. "And as far as your barrier goes, it was a simple matter of creating an intangibility setting for our teleportation devices, we technically did not break through anything, simply displaced ourselves outside the barrier and replaced ourselves inside it. But enough talk..." Blue suddenly extracts the water vapor from the air and concentrates it, frezing it into a handheld shield of solid ice. As he did this, Red was having problems of his own. Origin's charge is getting very dangerous looking, and Red realizes he's only gonna have one shot at what he's trying to do... Red: "Dammit, I wasn't expecting him to have help. Alright, big guy, let's see what you can do!" Bracing himself, and grinning smugly at Origin's charge, Red suddenly does the impossible, and actually catches Origin, stopping him short and dispersing the slicing winds of his high-speed dive. The two are sent flying backwards, as Red's shoes skid along the ground and slowly the combatants come to a stop. It's a bit of a shock to him, and he seems dazed at the high-powered impact of the dive, but the very fact that Red was willing to get in front of such an attack and try to stop it, and succeed, shows a rather reckless man who is totally confident in his skills. Red: "Woo, I knew that suit upgrade would come in handy! I'll have to thank Blue later... Now for my attack!" Still maintaining a firm grip on Origin, Red uses his inhuman strength leap upwards. From the skies, he flings Origin downward, crashing into the tower. To finish it off, he charges a flaming aura around his body, and suddenly concentrates it all into a moderately large sized fireball aimed straight at Origin! Red: "Let's heat things up a bit!" Janus: "Dammit, would you stop with the cheesy puns?" |

| The dust is just beginning to settle when Janus makes his move. Janus: "Here's a little modified technique of my own!" Janus begins spinning up one of his tornado attacks, but this attack is stranger than the rest. Rather than spin clockwise, which in this hemisphere would cause the dust and dirt to fly away from him, he's spinning counterclockwise, and somehow drawing the dust inside the tornado, creating an earthen storm of quickly rising proportions. Rocks and dirt are whirling around rapidly as Janus suddenly leaps out of the tornado, hammerless. With the hammer still spinning around, keeping the tornado intact, Janus sends it flying at Schwa! |

| Though Green is obviously devastated by the influx of horribly loud music, he is able to recover relatively well, making a wall of static electricity around himself that disrupts the sound waves headed toward him, and effectively disperses them. Meanwhile, Red, who has pulled up a lawn chair from out of nowhere, is simply bobbing his head in time to the music. Red: "Ah, the classics. They don't get old! Rock on, Elvis!" Blue (not looking up from his work): "Would you turn that music down Green? I'm trying to fix these teleporters." Blue takes out a pair of earmuffs and places them over his head, blocking out the sound of the attacks. As Red enjoys the mini-concert of death, Green is forced to act. Green: "I never thought I'd say this about the King himself, but this really sucks!" Lightning energy crackles around Green as he sends out a shocking wave of blue electricity, not toward ERS, but to his microphone, in an attempt to short-circuit it! "I gotta try to quiet him down!" |

| OOC: Honestly, I couldn't think of any other explanation for an earth tornado coming into being, I definitely have to work on the logic of that one, it's a cool move but it makes very little sense. Janus: "Nice shot!" The tornado is dispersed as the column of energy sends the hammer flying upward, and Janus pulls it back to him. He is grinning. "I knew there was more to you than just words, Schwa. You're definitely a strong fellow if you can find a way around that attack. Enough of ranged combat, though, how are you in melee?" Janus holds his hammer into a forward position, eager to see Schwa's hand-to-hand prowess. |

That reminds me of an interesting story, one time I was at home, on my lawn, when suddenly some guy drives by and tosses a glass bottle out his window. It hits our street and shatters, and the car that was behind him had to swerve to avoid it, and nearly hit a telephone pole. I absolutely love it when stuff like that happens.  The peelouters are the worst part, because sometimes when you're walking, they peel out and actually manage to skid their tires along the ground, sending that nasty burnt rubber smell into the air. Red: "I dunno what you're trying to say, cause there ain't nothing technological about THIS!" Red suddenly fires himself toward the ground, fueled by the raging flames around him, and is attempting to smash into Origin like a comet! This attack is much stronger than the last one, combining fire with a physical blow. "Let's see you laugh at this!"

Red's really enjoying himself, watching Green get his ass kicked to the sound of The Doors couldn't make his day any better. Blue's still fixing the watches, but has pulled out a second pair of earmuffs, due to the first pair exploding because of the sound waves. Green's getting ruined, just barely outrunning the outwardly expanding circle of flames, but running straight into one of the cyberkid's blasts. It's a good thing his suit can protect him... Green: "Ow! Crap! That's really really hot!!!" The energy blast sends him flying along the ground, as he skids and rolls along to a stop, right by the motionless body of the strange being known as "Ami." He's not moving. Green: "I.... am in such pain.... right now..."

Wielding his hammer swifter than a katana, Janus dashes toward Schwa, brandishing the weapon and aiming a quick slice to Schwa's side. "Be careful yourself, Schwa. Despite how fast I'm using this thing, it's MUCH heavier than it looks..."

Red: "Haha, picked this move up from Hammerboy himself!!! Earthquake Punch!!!" |
Red slams screaming into the platform, discharging his aura and sending jets of flame upward in Origin's direction, but right before the flames could possibly hit... Janus: "Stop stealing my attacks, Red!" A hammer spins straight at Red, knocking him off balance and disrupting the jets of flame! Janus has disposed of Blue temporarily, who appears to be lying on the ground, pieces of shattered ice around his body. As a followup, Janus catches his hammer, and slams it directly into Red, sending him flying straight toward Origin! If Origin can manage to attack Red while he's flying, it should hurt a lot... "Here he comes, hit him as hard as you can!" Green: "I won't let you hurt Red!" Immediately after Janus slams Red toward Origin, Green, apparently recovered from his short nap, zaps Janus with a sucker punch blow of electricity! As Janus falls to the ground, temporarily paralyzed, Green dashes in Origin's direction, hoping to stop him from attacking Red! "I'll save you, sir!"

Janus turns his back to Schwa temporarily. There's not a mark on him. "I told you I was pretty fast. I wasn't exactly lying, you know. My eyes are just as fast, if not faster, than my hands." (thinking)'Still, that was amazing... I shouldn't tell him that was pure luck that I dodged in time... I hope he doesn't try something like that again, or I might have to start sidestepping. That's hard enough as it is, but it's even worse when I've taken a beating...' "Alright, next wave!" Janus swings his hammer at Schwa, trying the same attack a second time, but this one's got a twist. At the last moment, he dips his hammer downward, and angles the shot upward, hoping to hit Schwa in the torso and send him upward. If he does, he'll execute a jumping strike that should send Schwa flying toward the ground. If not, he'll have to back off or risk being hit by Schwa's counter again...

The apple tree has a resident; A young man in a red baseball cap, wearing a duffelbag on his back. He takes a seat on a branch near the Colonel, holding an apple himself. Janus: "Hey there, Colonel. If you're looking for Tawq, he left this place long ago, in search of his own destiny. He left after I showed him that not all humans wished the destruction of his race, and now I believe he fights for the same thing I do. It's the people like us that are going to show the world why destruction isn't the answer." Janus takes a bite into his apple and leans against the tree, relaxed but not entirely unaware. "It's good to see you again, old man. I've heard you've taken a break from your warmongering. It's nice to know that you've chosen the path of peace finally. You seek out the wonders of the world, don't you?" Janus drops down from the branch onto the ground, taking his bag with him. "Well, I've gotten pretty wonderous since the old days. Look at me, I haven't aged a bit since last you saw me, have I? Ever wonder how I did it, how I managed to stay so young while you got old? I've fought in many more wars than just that one, and I've seen so many people die. I've traveled throughout history, but it all feels to be nothing more than a day's work to me. It's a side effect, I've had it since far before you met me. There's a lot more to me than just the young boy you saw in the RAF. I can't tell you everything, but I can tell you a few things..." "After the first Great War (and believe me, whether you like it or not there's gonna be another one), I left this time, going into the past and future. I went forward, back to my own time, for awhile. Trained a bit, got chased around a bit, but now I'm back here just for you. Feel lucky; technically in this time your message will never reach me, it's a good thing the British Postal System is so precise. I've traded in my gun for the bag, as you can see. It's quite a little device. Very useful, my old luggage bags never could make it through the time jumps." "Now then, you were the one who called me here, I went back in time a good seventy years just to see you. What do you need?"

Stumbling forward but regaining his balance from the upward swing, Janus whirls around for another quick miss by Schwa. He then suddenly loses his balance again, realizing Schwa didn't actually miss, feeling the slight burn of Schwa's holy attacks. |
Janus: "Read my thoughts, eh? It figures, you ARE a psychic, after all..." Janus shifts his weight into a new stance; his hammer is situated lower on his body, aimed to the right, almost as if he's holding a golf club. "You're quite good yourself, and I'd say we're pretty well matched if we haven't actually tried hurting each other. Don't lose your concentration yet though; I can't wait to see what else you can do." Janus grins as he dashes toward Schwa, aiming another upward shot. However, he intentionally lets the shot off early, throwing his hammer behind him and his feet in front of him, sliding beneath Schwa's legs. Windmilling upward from behind Schwa, he incorporates into the flashy breakdance maneuver a fast horizontal slash to Schwa's shoulder. "Let's get a little fancy, here!"

Janus vaults backward, avoiding the Colonel's slash and hooking the straps to his bag in the process. He lobs the bag at the Colonel as a diversion, then races forward and whirls his staff in a quick spinning blow at Colonel's sword hand (right or left, dunno which one he uses). "Where'd you get an artifact like that?"

I was at an amusement park once, waiting for my father and sister to get off a ride I didn't want to go on, when suddenly as I was sitting near the place where people get off, from above me a huge glob of something slimy landed on my knee. Someone actually spit on me from the ride! The ride was slowing down, and I could actually see him going "I got him! I got him!" to one of his asshole friends while I watched my family get off. I can't stand people sometimes. |
