Grey: "Right, this isn't really gonna work out too well..."

He snapped his fingers, and instantly the ground that formed his engravings jutted upward, becoming nothing more than flat marble once again.

"Not really worth using at this point. I've got bigger fish to fry."

He DID, however, saunter over to the sandbagged bunker, clap his hands together, and lay them on the bunker, causing it to turn into a Gambit-style explosive, which he casually walked away from. As he walked, he clapped his hands together again and kneeled down, pressing them on the ground and causing an electric shock to run through the ground and encircle William. Seconds later, the electric ring sank into the ground and gave way to a rather large marble outcropping that jutted upward from the ground, which happened to be conveniently where William was standing.

"God bless you, Edward."

A flash of the eyes, and suddenly the cameras zoomed in on Kalar's face had nothing to look at. The ones zoomed in on Sion, though... Well, the naked eye would see nothing more than a quick red streak whizzing by his body before using some kind of obtuse wipe effect to switch to the cameras behind him, which was where Kalar ended up.

The very holes in Kalar's tattered black suit quivered in the still air around him. His arms were outstretched, holding that wickedly curved scythe forward on the followthrough of what seemed to be a single, solitary slash. A bead of sweat fell from his brow as Kalar's heart pounded incessantly. Difficult? Yes. Dangerous to Sion? No.

Yet, still, as Sion held his hand outward, pointing at where Kalar was, there was absolutely no activity whatsoever, until a slight breeze blew through the arena...

....And every single blade of grass in a three-foot wide corridor between where Kalar was standing and where he stood now fell to the ground, sliced into dozens of pieces. Kalar blinked and stayed perfectly still...

Kalar: "Does that answer your question?"

Garro: "Hey man.... you shoud;l doit/....;;/..."

Kalar: "YAh, yan cnan't expedct anyyhihng but thre worstyy......"

Grey twitched a little bit at his friends' conduct... They were both a little tipsy, for sure... But was it really that good an idea? After all, Shino seemed pretty damn pissed...

Grey: "I dunno, guys..."

Kalar: "Ghresyy... You canstan d here all nifht and talk about ywhat c;ousld hbe, or asyou can go and takwe lige by teh horns ansd asjk her to dance..."

Garro: "Yah, man... we belienve in you..."

Janus: "Good god, man... they're stumbling."

Okay, maybe a little was the wrong word, thought Grey as Janus strode over to the bar from Ami's now recovered position. They'd sober up in about twenty minutes, their metabolisms were certainly way too high to just let alcohol sit and swander in their blood, but one thing was certain: Kalar and Garro were absolutely out of their heads while trying to tell Grey...

Grey: "Argh... I dunno what's worse..."

He looked over at Kari, who still didn't seem to have anyone to dance with yet.

".... The fact that I'm being accosted for my cowardice by a pair of drunken psychopaths, or the fact that no matter where I go, or what I do, there's always another guy."

He ran his hands through his hair, and adjusted his glasses, a trademark sign that he was nervous about something... He left the bar and hit the side of the reception room, with Janus following him, and leaving Kalar and Garro each other to lean on for support.

Janus: "Or girl."

Grey: "Don't remind me. At least we got a limo... They won't be driving any time within the next twenty minutes anyway."

Janus: "You know... Remember all that posturing that you made me do in the old days, about courage and friendship and the will to be strong that exists in all of us?"

Grey: "Sorta... I remember driving it home as a focal point of my style. Strength of conviction and will, right?"

Janus: "Yeah. But... you know, there's more to life than just friendship."

Grey leaned against the wall that he and Janus were up against, and exhaled. Walking on air at this point.

Grey: "Again, don't remind me..."

He turned away from his friend, a look of sorrow across his face.

"Especially not about that."

Janus: "Tom, you know that's not what I'm here for."

Grey stiffened for a second. Janus had never called him that before...

Grey: "Janus..."

Janus placed his hand on Grey's shoulder and turned Grey to face him. He leaned in very close to Grey and looked him solidly in the eyes with a piercing stare.

Janus: "I'm here as a part of you. All three of us are. What you do affects us all directly. If you just sit and wonder what could be, what would be, what may be... You'll never get anything done. If you don't sit up and do, eventually everything will waste away from inactivity... Including us. Go out there and live your life. Don't let yourself be caught up in "what if"s."

Grey: "I..."

Suddenly, his gaze changed, and he backed away from Janus, standing taller than he did before. Wisdom and Power may have gotten drunk off their arses, but Courage was staring him straight in the face. And all that was left at that point was Reason, was himself.

"I'll do it!"

Janus: "Good man! That's the spirit!"

Grey nodded, and Janus grinned. Grey turned sharply away from the wall, and focused his eyes directly onto Kari, who was at this point facing away from him. He stood erect and full of confidence, and approached her lightly, tapping her on the shoulder and smiling as he got her attention.

Grey: "Miss Kari? I wanted to apologize for my actions with the bouquet earlier... I didn't mean to ruin it, especially for you. I don't want there to be any hard feelings between us, and so..."

He extended his hand backwards with the utmost in manner and courtesy, and placed his other hand across his waist, bowing ever so slightly to her...

"... As a gesture of goodwill and, dare I say it, affection, it would be the perfect honor and greatest pleasure if you would be so kind as to dance this final dance with me."

He closed his eyes and hoped...

As Sion began his charge, the arena's speakers began to blast out a roiling techno reprieve, specifically designed to get hearts pumping and senses running wild... This was gonna be good.

Kalar: "Aw, HELL yeah! That's what I'm talking about!"

Flourishing his scythe and swinging the near-transparent blade so that it sliced cleanly through tuft after tuft of grass, Kalar windmilled until Sion approached him, whereupon he swung his scythe high in the air and then downward, shifting ever so slightly forward as he sliced. The scythe blade dug into the ground and the entire world suddenly went into slow motion as Kalar met Sion's charge with a vault and a series of frontflips over his head. Kalar somersaulted in the air, landing lightly behind him as time sped right back up and Kalar spun around with a sharp horizontal slash to Sion's midsection in a maneuver that absolutely screamed FLUID.

Grey: "OI! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY KITCHEN!"

Looks like the twins and triplets seem to have forgotten their single... And those spikes flying everywhere were just the thing to get Grey mightily pissed off at the fact that he was CLEARLY trying to clean up the kitchen while they rumbled in it. Mop in hand, he windmilled the spikes that Speeky shot that flew toward him completely out of the way, and took a hard swipe with it directly at Spiky's head.

At this point, Grey was covered in refuse. The two team's subsequent attacks had ripped holes in large bags of flower, scattered chef potatoes all over the place, broken through the door of the meat closet, causing all of the meat to slowly start to rot from exposure to morethancold air, and nearly ruined the produce that Grey was just trying to put away. And on top of that, fruit was fine... But he hated, hated, HATED it when people threw stuff in HIS kitchen! He then pointed at the Gemini Twins...

"And you! Do you have any idea how expensive most of this equipment is? And here you are, just releasing huge spheres of electricity into the place? You'll short-circuit the walk-in fan! You'll destroy the ice machine! You'll electrocute my dishwasher!"

After swiping at Spiky, Grey stomped heavily toward Team Gemini. The very walls shook with his fury, and though it was great, not a single scrap of food fell off of another shelf. The closer he got, the more the walls shook. His footsteps began to create pits in the once-clean, now-dirty tiles in the floor. He then picked up both of the twins by their collars before that darn girl could do anything else to his sacred sanctuary, and brought them both close to him....

"Now you listen to me, because I'm only going to say this once..."

His breath was hot and his voice terrifying beyond all reason at this point. What was once a kind, happy-go-lucky janitor suddenly turned into a roiling machine of rage...

"You stop destroying my kitchen, and you take it outside. You leave payment for everything you've destroyed to be replaced, and you stay out of the kitchen until you can learn to control yourselves. I'm going to let you go now. If you pull off that charged move and release enough energy into this room to destroy even another single grain of rice, then I'll REALLY start fighting!"

He dropped the Gemini Twins onto the floor, and the rumbling of the walls subsided. Still, not a single piece of food was destroyed throughout that whole endeavor.

"And that goes for you three, too..."

Only one eye met that of the Lizard Bros., as nothing more than a sidelong glance was afforded to them in Grey's fury...

Grey twitches... Only one person would want to piss him off THAT much...

Grey: "Let's take this outside..."

He snaps his fingers, and a rush of light blows over him, fading to reveal none other than Tom, a figure shorter than Hunter but no less fearsome.

"....Hunter."

The boy snaps his fingers again, and disappears...

Having played swing music for the last seven years of his life, Grey knew a little bit about the style, particularly the moves. He grinned as Kari swung him onto the dance floor, and swung her around in a similar fashion, holding onto both of her hands as he duo-twirled with her, following that maneuver up with a single hand twirl that went directly into a graceful dip. As they trotted together, he nodded to her and smiled.

Grey: "Alright, then, you lead off first."

Kalar and Garro were stumbling about, just barely beginning to regain their wits as Janus returned to the bar and sighed a sigh of relief. Courage had been saved again, for the time being. He ordered a dry martini to congratulate himself, and checked out his buddy's moves.

Janus: "Well, whaddaya know... Who knew he could cut a rug?"

Oh, I've PLAYED all twelve of them...

Just, never really beaten them.

And Sam, you're also forgetting Legend 1, 2, and 3 (even if they were Romancing Saga games), FF Adventure (even if it was a Seiken Densetsu game), and Mystic Quest (most definitely not an FF game but still one in name).

Janus: "Well, shit."

Zombies to the left. Zombies to the right. Criss cross? Everybody clap your hands. And, of course, the only thing Schwa had given him in response was the Royal Ball... He had heard stories about its existence and its powers, but beyond anything else he had heard... Well, hopefully Schwa would get here soon.

Kalar: "Someone mind filling me in on why exactly the capital of Russia is being beset by an unstoppable army of Zombies and what appear to be creatures that are more evil than me and Garro combined?"

Janus: "Apparently, NeoBowser's being manipulated by Fenrir... Which means we've got to save him somehow. Much as I hate to admit it along with Nino, we're gonna have to do some killing."

Garro: "Then let's rush in like the badasses we are and slice them down like grass!"

Janus: "What are you, on cocaine or something? I'm pretty sure I know a figment of my imagination well enough to know that he definitely wouldn't be THIS gung ho about burning through an army of zombies to save someone that's just as evil as, if not more evil than him! (aside) He'd hate the competition..."

Janus then looked to Star and Nino... There had to be something they could do...

"Well, you know more about what's going on than I do, Star. What's the plan? Do we take down the Zombies before Fenrir turns them against NeoBowser, or take on Fenrir especially, or destroy everything, or nothing, or run the hell away...."

"Really, it's your choice here."

Kalar: "Oh, please... Who HASN'T Janus used that move against?"

Kalar backpedaled a few feet to allow him a bit more time and control over when the Keyblade would strike, and then dove to the ground, raising the haft of his scythe upward and catching the spinning Keyblade by its skeleton-key-like head. He rolled along, passing the scythe with the Keyblade ringing around it like a horseshoe from hand to hand until he could get the proper footing to jump to his feet and hold his scythe outward, now moving his scythe in such a way as to slow the spinning of the keyblade down. It slowed to a stop, and hung from the haft of his scythe by the key's head. He raised his scythe upward a bit and slid the blade along the scythe's haft to his hands.

"Ooh, nice model too. Reminds me of.... The Metal Chocobo. But only in color, really. Let's see..."

His eyes glowed red for a few seconds as he studied the weapon. It was supremely lightweight, but very, very strong. Overflowing with dark energy too, apparently. Hurling it at him wouldn't really hurt, since it essentially WAS a key, and its power was only really inherent in the energy of the blade allowing it to cut through things. Since Kalar wasn't too afraid of extremes, and actually invited pain and destruction upon himself and others on a near-daily basis (at least, on stage he did), it was a pretty nice little piece of work to him. Almost artful in its pain and misery. But that was for emo kids.

"You know your stuff if you've got a weapon like this. I feel kinda honored, actually. But..."

Attack copied, he thought as he grabbed the handle of the blade and hurled it right back at Sion. The handle of his scythe shortened to about a foot long, and from the end of it swung up the scythe blade, extending and straightening to broadsword-length. As a followup, he hurled not only Sion's weapon, but his own right at the warrior, in a gross mockery of Sion's original attack.

"You might want it back! Strike Raid!!!"

OK, Z. Before my fight begins, I'd like to make a few final changes:

Characters are gonna be changed, for story purposes, from Janus, the Detective and the Agents to Grey (not detective), Janus, Garro, and Kalar. They're still got Pokemon types, though.

Grey will be Psychic/Electric.
Garro will be Dark/Psychic.
Janus will be Ground/Flying.
Kalar will be Ghost/Steel.

The hyper meter I would still like in effect, but the difference this time is that instead of Janus draining the Hyper Meter, Grey will, meaning the other three will have to be used for two rounds before Grey can be used again. I'd also like to note that occasionally other characters (particularly Janus) will pull out moves that deal damage of a type different than their two innate types, similar to how many Fire types can learn Ground type moves, or many Water types can learn Ice types, or Normal types can use nearly any other type. This isn't a rule, it's just a tactical heads up to you.

However, I'd still appreciate it if Janus could square off against Mewtwo in the final battle, assuming I even GET that far. And hey, if I do well enough, maybe I'll even unlock Mew...

Anyway... Thank you very much again, for taking the time to do this. I know it's asking a lot, and I'm very glad you've been so compliant with this so far. I promise you, I won't disappoint you for all of your hard work.

Janus: "3.1415926535, man!"

As Hector moved, so too did Janus, using his superior speed to dash around Hector and in front of his path. Janus then pulled out an oldie, but a goodie: His classic whirlwind move. The hammer swung around in a rapid spin that'd leave Hector broken and bruised if it connected. But, of course, just in case it didn't Janus added a little touch of variety to his strike.

"Chabudai!!!"

Void energy erupted from Janus' body in the same direction of his whirlwind, meaning gravity was going to be painfully increased for anyone (read: Hector) who decided to try and move out of the way of his strike.

Kalar met Star's slash by catching Star's blade within the crook of his scythe. Kalar's eyes flashed red, and one more piece of info was added to his brain. The two fighters would naturally fall to the ground at this point, so Kalar used this to his advantage and slashed downward in a frontflipping motion as he fell.

And, of course, there was Grey. Poor, poor Grey... The sword stabbed straight through him as he fell to the ground, not expecting that kind of reaction from the spear at all. Blood exploded from the exit wound in his back and leaked freely out of his throat as he screamed in pain. The moment Origin got off of him, Garro panicked and rushed over to his leader, diving toward Grey and completely ignoring Odin in favor of laying his hands on the bleeding teenager and desperately attempting to heal him.

Garro: "Lay on Hands! Regen!!!"

Brilliant white light blew outward from the two of them as Grey's wounds stauched, patched, scarred, and healed completely all in a matter of seconds, leaving the boy very fatigued and drained of energy (though sped up, natural healing still did need some cellular energy for the purposes of natural healing processes), and worse, out of commission for at least a few moments.

At this point, Grey just blew the whistle.

Grey: *FWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!* "Janus, take five!"

Janus: "What?"

Stage crews moved bits and pieces of the arena scenery left and right as Janus, who had taken the extra time to get into his old costume and even found the cardboard cutouts of the Agents and Detective that had to be used when Grey banished them to the Dracooniverse, rose up out of his foxhole. Grey, wearing an outfit that made him look ever so slightly like Stephen Spielberg, would have nothing of Janus continuing this battle.

Grey: "I'm understudying your role for this scene. You've been working too hard lately, especially in Dark or Light and DiEn Wedding. And I don't even want to talk about Riddle of the Chao..."

Janus: "What the hell man, what about you? You're practically slicing up the dance floor in DiEn Wedding, while still conducting a Local Mod fight AND gearing up for a user battle with Hunter! Not to mention Angry Outcasts... You're working harder than me!"

Grey: "You're in Angry Outcasts, too... The point is, you've got a lot more on your plate right now than I do, and I've had this thing about taking on Seph for a while now. If you don't stop working on this scene, I'm gonna cut your pay."

Janus: "You don't pay me!"

Grey: "Hey, who's the Reason here, and who's the Courage?"

Janus: "Bah, fine... I'll be in the Kitchen."

Grey: "Ah, yeah... If you're so willing to work, would you mind helping the Gemini Twins and the Lizard Brothers clean up that mess? It's looking pretty crappy right about now..."

Janus: "Wha... Ch... Bah, fine... He's all yours."

Grey: "Thanks, man! Look forward to a skill promotion soon."

Janus: "I'd better..."

Grey: "Shadow Sam's got it in the works!"

Janus: "Hrmph."

As Janus stalked off the set, removing his old suit jacket and slinging Satchel over his back, Grey clapped his hands together several times, assembling the stage crew so that the scene could continue without a hitch.

Grey: "Right, guys, let's take it from line.... 34 or so on the second page, fifty posts per page. Seph's charging energy, and I want to see some emotion here, people!"

As he walks into the arena and prepares to battle Seph, he kicks a cardboard cutout of Agent Red out of the way.

"And can someone get rid of these cutouts?"

A stage hand rushed into the arena and gathered up the cutouts of Grey's crew as Kalar and Garro went out to the arena bar to have a drink. Grey turned to face Seph, and grinned.

"....Right. That's better. And yeah, I can play it with the best of them!"
