And now, my personal prefs in order:

1: Link's Awakening (WALLLLLLLLLRUSSSSSS)
2: Link to The Past (just badass)
3: Vanilla (challenging and fun!)
4: Oracle of Seasons/Ages
5: Ocarina of Time
6: Four Swords Adventures (moves to position 3 when four players are involved)
7: Wind Waker
8: Adventure of Link
9: I have yet to play Minish Cap.

Anyone remember this game? I just legally got this game, and it's proving to be quite fun. The graphics are eyesores, but the skill progression system and the whole "day in the lives of seven people" concept is very interesting to me. I think Live a Live was like this on the SNES, but I find SaGa Frontier to be a little more interesting (primarily because I can read the text without having to deal with a translation patch).

So far my favorite games are Red's, Blue's, and T260G's.

But then, there's a good chance you think this game could suck horribly. I know the critics did.

Janus: "Star, get ready! Heart of Steel!!!"

As Janus folded his hands and let his hammer float in the familiar clock-formation before his body, archaic symbols formed around his feet...

Despite his closed eyes, a swirling, glowing blue light could be seen beneath his eyelids. It flowed freely from the brown pools set within his face, growing ever more luminescent by the second! His body slowly lifted off of the ground, and the hammer's handle began moving in a clockwise direction. First to the "one" position, then the "two". The "three", "four", and "five" positions were passed, and the hammer pointed upward, its handle at Janus' levitating feet. Only that magnitude or higher, thought Janus, could even hope to create a rift in this Time Blocker that Nijote had set up...

Janus sighed as his shoes once again touched the ground, and opened his eyes. Time had shifted ever so slightly within his body, and a focused field of stabilization was created around the relative form of Janus. The field was vital in helping to remove the effects of the Time Blocker, which had already begun to slightly throw off Janus' inner biological workings, and allowing him to once again use time to control the movement speed of his body!

"I think I can finally give you some help against this faker!"

With every muscle in his body fully under his control, Janus surged forward, also disappearing to everyone in the room but Star and Nijote. NeoBowser, however, probably wouldn't be able to pick up his soul, as it was quite carefully guarded, and not even stored within his own body!

Janus could only hope he'd be able to match Nijote at this rate... If there was one thing that Star needed right now, however ironic the need may have been, it was time.

As he approached Nijote in the center of the room, Janus put on a burst of speed that caused him to disappear and reappear behind her, to her left, top, and front, delivering a swift hammerblow each time!

As the group made their way to the ranch, a discussion of the flow of time was clearly on its way...

Kalar: "Not necessarily. Time has a strange way of working. Perhaps the song just makes our bodies, which are obviously outside of the flow of time in this world, move faster through time while the rest of the world stays the same? If that song you played earlier (or later, depending on how you want to look at it...) can make us move backward in time, I bet playing it backwards, or a few times in quick succession, or with all the notes messed up, might really screw up our own perspective on the time stream!"

He rested his hands behind his head, and looked up at the daylight sky, where the moon stared down at the group menacingly.

"Though, with that thing looming above us, I'd put my money more toward it bringing us closer to our doom if we don't watch out..."

Yes. Thus, millions of users would be deprived of their lovely black and green ultrapaperweight that happens to play Halo.

More seriously, I'm surprised at how lukewarm of a reception the Sonic Adventure games recieved. They're really not bad games at all, and I think Sega deserves at least some credit for trying to release the first minastream next-gen console a year or so before everyone else. Dreamcast had some gems for it, too.

I'll always be a fan of the Sonic games over the Mario games (save for SMRPG, Superstar Saga, and one or two others), but I gotta go with the majority here and say that Nintendo is definitely superior.

These are Sonic games I've never even heard of! (well, except for Chaotix, Sonic CD, and Sonic R...)

I feel kinda saddened that I've never experienced most of this stuff... What systems were they for? I know Extreme was supposed to be for Saturn, but what about Virtual Sonic, or Sonic Chaos, and the rest?

Jeez... There's gotta be a comprehensive list of these games somewhere... time to go search. Goodness knows I've got nothing better to do.

Grey: "Yeah, no problem, uh, Schwa...? Hm. I like this guy. He's pretty cool..."

Grey patted his little buddy on the head. He decided, very much unlike Stacice, that he liked this little creature a lot. Instantly upon being touched by Grey, the Chao chattered happily.

Chao: "Chaw chaw!"

Grey squatted down at the playing chao and held his finger out to it in a poking motion. It looked at the finger inquisitively, and the little ball above its head turned into a large question mark. It sniffed Grey's finger, opened its mouth, and bit it!

Grey: "OUCH!"

He pulled his finger away, rubbed it, and scowled at the chao, who immediately donned a look of sadness. When he saw how sad the Chao was, Grey softened, and tried to pat it on the head again. The chao cried a little, and looked up at its new friend, who just laughed a little and smiled warmly.

"Hey, now, don't cry... You didn't know. You can't eat stuff like that, it'll hurt someone else if you do. Let's see..."

As Grey reached into his coat, Janus just sat and observed...

Janus: "Interesting.... This thing seems really sensitive to the treatment it receives from others. I'd tell it to get some self esteem, but it'd make it too sad to even bother, I bet."

The chao poked its head inside Grey's coat, rooting around alongside the detective and mimicking his actions.

"It looks like it's getting pretty attached to Grey... Somehow I get the feeling he's not going to be leaving us any time soon. The best thing to do, if we don't want to send Schwa into another seizure, would probably be to treat it drastically in one direction, good or evil. That way, there's no chance of another gridlock, right?"

Grey: "Aha!"

His hand whipped from his coat, which flourished outward, revealing the chao inside it as plain as day. In his hand was a small, circular piece of food wrapped in cellophane. It looked like a sandwich, but was made with cake, the filling nothing but frosting...

"The Convenience Store Moon Pie! Quite possibly the greatest snack food ever conceived!"

Grey grinned, and so did the chao. He unwrapped the pie, placing the wrapper within one of his many coat pockets, and broke the pie into two equal halves. He had overheard Janus slightly... No reason why he couldn't get a head start.

"See, this is called sharing... When you have something, you split it and give it to someone else, just because you're nice like that."

He handed one half of the pie to the chao, and took the other in his other hand. He grinned. After the question mark appeared above its head again, and several seconds of consideration, so did the chao. He placed the moon pie in his mouth and bit into the sugary goodness. So did the chao. He tasted, and swallowed. So did the chao. The chao looked up at Grey, and squealed with delight. Sweet!

Chao: "Cha Chaa!"

Grey: "Ha ha!"

And that, of course, sealed their friendship.

Eep.... I always though Virtual Sonic was just a game I had never played.

I tried Knuckles Chaotix yesterday for the first time. It's..... interesting, to say the least. I haven't decided whether I like it or not. On the one hand it's innovative and the graphics and sound are beautiful for a genesis game (32x or not), but on the other hand, the controls really take some getting used to. In a Sonic game, I'm used to being able to run unrestrictedly forward at all times, trying to get to the goal with all possible speed. In this.... Well, you can't. Not very easily, anyway, especially considering the fact that most of the game is upward motion.

Janus: "Ah... Guys?"

He takes Satchel off of his back, and prepares to open it...

"They might not really be interested in me... In fact, I'm guessing they're more interested in..."

At that, he unzips Satchel, and Grey's chao instantly tries to struggle toward it, only to be held back by the detective. Janus reaches in, searches around for a few minutes, and pulls out...

"This."

It is a jewel. More specifically, an emerald. Silver-gray in color, and radiating an intense amount of energy, the Hero chao are all drawn toward it, and actually start to get onto their knees and chant when they see it. The jewel floats in Janus' hands, and Grey stares in amazement at it. He's done only a little bit of research on it, but it's pretty obvious, considering the setting and the reactions of the chao, what it actually is.

Grey: "That's a---"

Janus: "Yes. It's a Chaos Emerald. One of seven. I've been looking for them for some time, but this is the only one I've found. I thought Crystal Psipalace held one of them as its core, but Ex's ability to drain the energy from it disproved that theory almost instantly. A Chaos Emerald has so much power that it'd be nearly impossible to drain it all, even for a being like Ex."

He puts the emerald away, and the chao stop chanting, regarding Janus with an almost saint-like attitude. He who holds the emeralds holds a great deal of power...

"In any case, it'll be of great help here for sure. Especially if the chao are going to be the secret to keeping that Good/Evil gridlock in line. I agree with Dracoon, we need to get to the bottom of this."

OOC: And with that, I have to go. I'm sorry guys, I got canned, Schwa, Dracoon will explain more to you if you ask him. Just so you know, I can't access the net nearly as much until (if my calculations are correct) June 10, so I'd appreciate it if we could slow things down a bit. It looks like with the end of the year, everyone's lives are getting in the way (I know for one that I have exams soon and I'll be graduating, too), so it's up to you guys if you want to go at your normal pace, I just want to let you know that I'll be less active than usual until then.

Nah, nah, we read the Tyger... that's about comparison of something deadly coming from the same creator as something as gentle as the "Lamb", right?

I dunno, all I'm really getting from the guy is a huge comparison between innocence and what I guess is danger... The Tyger mentions claws, and slicing, and it asks if something so fearsome can come from something that created something as innocent as the lamb, which is where I drew my initial conclusion from. Fearsome, for me, means deadly. I guess the Tyger doesn't really suffer, but in a sense there's a degree of suffering present in one's own ability to inspire fear.

But that's so far off topic that I think I'm just rambling now. I was thinking more in line with Ziff's thoughts on avarice, but The Tyger doesn't really mention that too much, and that's what we're focusing on...

Ah, well. Any way you slice it, test's wednesday.

I just thought of something that might ruin your day, Peardian... But I gotta know: Are you gonna do the Wario Land and Wario World games? Since you're running Luigi's mansion through it, I thought the Wario games might be incorporated, along with the Mario Edutainment games, Mario is Missing, Mario's Fun Letters, Mario's Fun Numbers, and Mario Teaches Typing, but those aren't really Mario games as it is... More extended pieces of screenshots that somehow serve a purpose that doesn't involve bashing koopas.

I'd also like to add that the SMB spiny is insanely awesome, and the SM64 spiny. You're right, it's definitely one of your best pictures.

Janus smiled at Agent Green, who nodded and winked back, giving him the thumbs up sign and pointing to his shoe. Janus grinned. User Grey designed these arenas to take a lot of damage, it was time to see just how much.

While Seph was speaking, three separate actions happened at once: With one hand, Janus reached up to his face and turned on Blue's Sunglasses, which gave him a quick tactical analysis of his current situation....

Target: Giant Ice Wall
Height: Unknown
Width: Unknown
Depth: Unknown
Weaknesses: Fire, Lightning
Estimated Density: Titanium-Type
Weight: Greater than 10000 Tonnes
Source: Target Elite Seph
Suggested Course of Action: Stop Asking Me.

With a grimace on his face and his other hand reaching into the inside pocket of his suit jacket, Janus turned on Red's Suit to setting 10, multiplying his meager physical strength into something that'd at least let him do some semblance of damage. Not to Seph, of course....

The third action? Janus did a quick hop in the air and his shoes glowed green for a second, returning to the jet-black color they had previously sported. Green's Shoes were active!

Now all that was left was to put it all together with a catchy one-liner....

Janus: "There ain't nothing elemental about this!"

As he yelled that out, he bounced high into the sky, a hydraulic leap that sent him soaring, only to turn around in midair and rocket back toward the floor of the arena as Satchel started spinning into a drill-like device! He hit the ground hard, his increased strength helping ever so slightly to force a hole in the extremely hard metal tiles. The Ice wall rushed closer and closer as he drilled, and finally broke through. Diving into the hole he created, Janus used it as cover for the gigantic storm attack and escaped reasonably unharmed (save for the stinging wind that filled his foxhole as the wall passed).

But, sadly, he's not exactly in a position to counterattack...
