| Oh, god dammit, not again. Alright, Seph, I'm getting tired of this. Every foe you've faced so far seems to have a problem with your style. I have no personal problems with it so long as you make it bearable, but at the same time, you two are thinking along two different trains of thought: Seph, your characters, in this setting, are not nearly as powerful as you believe they are. What if Legault is just as powerful as your "Elite Seph" character? Hell, if I were to SB you, I'm willing to bet Janus would give you a run for your money on the sheer basis that I've been using him since I first got here, so he's got to have something going for him. Second, Dracoon does NOT god-mod. He was matching power with power, and while I think that entire fiasco was unjustified, I also think you blew it out of proportion. At least Dracoon had the good sense to just brush it off and not worry about it when I told him he was in the wrong. Third, Legault, I enjoy your dramatic style of battle, but you're just feeding the flames (to use a situational pun) by arguing with Seph. Technically, while this battle only has 6 posts on each side, you didn't take a single hit. Assuming you continued in this style (since the battle's length is a factor as well), you WOULD be breaking the rules. While I understand there are time constraints on this, the least you could do is humor the crowd. You are being judged, after all. Now, Seph, this is the third time this has happened. I'm generally a three-strikes kind of person, but this is the second time it's happened in the tournament, which I'm going to allow to save you. If you have a problem with the way your foe fights, then bear with it, and the judges will assess it as well. Chances are, if you see them god-moding, then the judges will, too, and demerit them on those grounds. This is your last warning, Seph. You're a good battler and writer, just let the situation take care of itself. If you start arguing with your next opponent, I'm gonna personally kick you out of the tourney myself, regardless of whether or not Dracoon is taking it over again (which he is). Legault, this is a first offense on your part, and I get the feeling it was circumstantial, but you have to keep in line, too. You're surprisingly good for someone who just got here recently, and I don't think it'd be good to lose that, nor do I want you to leave. I'm declaring this fight over. There's still one day left in the round, but once again, the silence has been deafening. I'll leave the rest to the judges. |

As an aside, he also swings his hammer, opens a portal, and pulls from it that same sphere of Dark Matter Ex disposed of. You could never have enough useful random crap, after all. Besides, the little fellow was kinda cute... In that strange, soul-devouring way. "Now then, you're quite different than before, and goodness knows I could use a pet. I'm gonna call you..... Ah.... Hm. Can't think of a name for it." He tosses it into the air jovially, only to watch it hang there, in front of his face. Kinda creepy, but Janus had seen worse. "Ok little buddy, back home with ya. Now to find out what you eat..." He opens Satchel, and the little sphere perks up and flies inside. Janus turns to Dracoon, rapping his knuckles on the fourth wall a couple of times. "Man, we need to do something... You got any ideas yet?" |

And if I may say so myself, good job, Jarukoth! This one was definitely a keeper, one of, if not the best battle I've fought. I wouldn't mind display casing it when it's done. But, I don't know what the rest of the board would have to say about that.  (edited by Grey on 04-05-05 01:27 PM)

And Toxic, because he quoted Cowboy Bebop. Ooh, look, I just flamed. And I'm a staff member. Goodness knows I won't get in trouble for it. I'm definitely immune to the rules because my name's white and I make sure people roleplay unoffensively. Some rules were meant to be broken, and some people were meant to break the rules that need to be broken. That's the way things go.

The Judges judged their fights. The combatants were healing up. User Grey stood with his back wedged up against the door of his office, trying to keep it from breaking down under the force of the battering ram being slammed into it. UGrey: "This is bad. Really bad! Why is this happening? Aren't you guys fighting your hardest?" He looked upon his five guests: Detective Grey, Janus, and the Agents all stared back at him. Janus shrugged his shoulders. Janus: "Hey, man. You're the one who gave them these personalities. They're just robots, after all." UGrey: "But they're not supposed to be revolting! You guys were supposed to entertain them!" A loud cry erupted from behind the door, as hundreds of User Grey's Nameless NPC robots rioted outside his office, dissatisfied with the quality of the tournament battles thus far... Janus: "Hey, we've all been taking a beating in this, it's not our fault that they don't like it! The least you could do is give us some background support here!" UGrey: "Look, none of that matters right now! If those NPCs get in here, we're gonna get our asses kicked!" Janus: "So why can't you just use your Author powers to get rid of them?" UGrey: "That takes time and energy on my part, more than I can muster right now! Just go out there and hold them off until help comes!" Janus stared at him with a look of disbelief. He was still recovering from his battle with Team Jarukoth, as were Red and Green, and Detective Grey and Blue certainly weren't enough to hold off that entire mob... Janus: "Alright, fine." Janus walked up to User Grey and motioned for him to step aside and let him out into the mob of NNPC-bots. "You SO owe me for this one." From outside of User Grey's office, the Acmlm's Board building was shaken by a strong earthquake, as Janus slammed him hammer into the floor and sent a dozen NNPCs flying away from the door! He roared and charged into the crowd, laying into them with all of his might! "If they want a good fight, I'll show them a good fight! Come on, guys! Let's get 'em!" The four other fighters yelled their assent, rushing the crowd and attacking as many of the robot people as they could! Fires burned, electricity surged through the mob, and cold winds blew about as Detective Grey's gun blazed, and the seemingly endless torrent of NNPCs continued to rain down upon User Grey's office! Their fists flailing and their mighty robot gears giving them unprecedented strength, these robots are a force to be reckoned with in large numbers. They're gonna need some help, you know... UGrey: "They're going insane! I assembled them so that we'd have a decent crowd for the battles, since I know everyone likes being cheered on. But then they started booing at the fights that weren't very good, and after the last round, they just attacked my office! We were holed up inside for at least an hour, and now my guys are out there beating the crap out of them. They're just robots, but they need to be disposed of, it was a mistake for me to even make them!" With that, User Grey turned toward the mob, snapped his fingers, and a dozen of them exploded instantly!
