NICK ARCADE. Geeheehee. Although Legends of the Hidden Temple was the King Shit of all them post-Double Dare shows. The only good thing about Guts was Moira Quirk...'s accent.

I actually find that very annoying. You walk around school and every other word out of people's mouth is DUDE. DUDE BRA'. Jeeze. Bra should never have been short for "brother." =\

Yes, but what you fail to realize is if you were from a bit farther north, you'd be constantly defending your usage of "hella", even while no one really cares.

I actually went to a Nickelodeon Live thingie when I was....oh, 11 or so. One of the events there was a Nick Arcade thing.

It's actually not that impressive behind the curtain, though I suppose how they go from what the people do to the finished product (Bah, it's late, I'm phrasing this horribly) is kinda cool.

Eh, cool enough for 4 AM reruns on GAS. ;P I was pissed about LotHT, though. I was right in their wheelhouse, age-wise, for the first season. Parents wouldn't let me go.

You know how there's cables to connect USB ports (say, front panel ones on your PC's case) to your motherboard? I'm out of connections and want to get a card reader that goes in the front panel. Said reader also has USB 2 and FireWire ports built in. It'd be nice if those worked, although I don't know if my USB 2/FireWire card HAS connections for more ports... Anyway. Is there such a thing that would allow me to connect the USB ports to my motherboard but allow me to stick another connection on there as well? It's kind of hard to explain.

Yeah, it did. I quite like what Johnny Depp did with the character. He didn't try to pull off Gene Wilder's kindly eccentric chocolate tycoon, which is all the better. Instead, he came off much more like a man-child.

Spoiler:
I mean, he took freaking notes on the various candies! That's the kind of dedication that can only be fostered by serious repression. And the reunion with his father, too...

Oh, and I can imagine Mike Teevee being a good number of users here.

Kind of near and dear to my heart; my alma mater used to be the Braves, but changed to the Bobcats.

Allow me to say this: Not all Native American nicknames are offensive. How can you tell?

* Washington Redskins: Since it doesn't involve potatoes, OFFENSIVE.
* Cleveland Indians: Named in honor of a former great player, but Chief Wahoo is OFFENSIVE.
* St. John's: Do I even have to say it? OFFENSIVE.
* Quinnipiac University: Name's a word from one of the tribes native to the area. Logo was two crossed arrows. NOT OFFENSIVE.
* Florida State Seminoles: Not passing judgement yet, but if the Seminole tribe in FL is okay with it, then I say NOT OFFENSIVE.

Although I didn't know Wisconsin and Iowa had that policy. That's a good way to smoke 'em out, as long as it's big-time programs that do that. Let's see USC, Oklahoma, and LSU not schedule teams with these monikers.

It's all about fundamentalism (look up "fundament" if you wanna know my thoughts on the real meaning). Simple solutions for simple people. (I'm referring to all denominations, not fundamentalist Islam. Actually, I'm thinking more of fundamentalist Christianity. Neener neener.) If people lived by the spirit of the tenets rather than the letter of specific passages, you would find that life would be much better.

It should be noted he isn't going to be the protagonist in Doom. At least that's what I'd heard. But he's got the charisma to pull off JB.

Pretty much the standard-issue answers (see Karadur). Although I'd be interested to see the age breakdown too. Imagine that people like myself and Googie are the exception and that it'd skew younger.

(stabbity! for Snika)

They can't and won't legislate that. And they didn't do that with CD's, either. The courts found systematic price fixing and smote it. Besides, the market kind of took care of that too, what with stores like Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy selling CD's at a loss.

But yeah, games were around $40-$70. Especially the SNES era... those were just painful to buy.

Yeah Boomerrang is cool for watching old shows. Pink Panther is finally on there now.

Oh fuck yes. Even if we're talking about stuff like Inch-High Private Eye.

Well, turns out my PCI USB 2/FireWire card has no internal connections. Off to find someone to pawn it off on, then get a card that does.

Of course, I DID just hook up my printer, and that has card slots...

Did anyone else have hard-fucking-core issues trying to watch any of systm's episodes? Downloaded the MythTV one, in all four formats, and I had to update ALL my DivX/XviD/FFDShow/Ogg Theora/H.264/et cetera drivers. Now it's a touch choppy, but I can at least see it. These shouldn't be too demanding, either...
