So I've got an Excel file that I use for work. It has damn near everything I'd need to know about a variety of schools, like their mascots, driving directions (Mapquest, Google, AND Yahoo), etc. Well, I'm gonna share this with the other papers in the company, and I want to know how to set it up so people can add directions to other sites themselves. |
Why's this a problem? Can't they just type it in? I'm counting on them not being as geeky as me. So it wouldn't occur to them to copy the row above, paste it in, and change what needs to be changed in the links to the driving directions. Here's a typical row.
The last two columns are time and distance. So. What I want to do is have it pop up a bunch of input boxes, asking for everything. Name of field/facility, street address, city (they're all in the same state), zip code. It'll fill in everything it can, formatted properly, except time and distance. That you've gotta do manually, unless someone can find a way to get that off the page (which I SORELY doubt is doable).

Part of it doesn't surprise me, because the frothy mix known as Santorum, Fred Phelps, and their ilk aren't Catholics, as far as I know. They're Christian, but not Catholic. (Important distinction.) I think it's things like the transfiguration that turn people off of ardently following all of the Roman Catholic dogma. As far as I can tell, most of the whackjobs are of various Protestant denominations. |

OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. He IS cleared to fly with the team, so that's a good sign. I think it means no concussion for him. He also stayed conscious, responsive, and didn't lose feeling the whole time. Tests came back negative, so he SHOULD be okay. But how rattled will he be? (For those who don't know, he got NAILED in the side of the head last night by a Carl Crawford line drive.)
