| In case anyone else is lucky enough to have digital cable, it's MLB Extra Innings's free preview week. Probably the only way I'll get to see the Red Sox here. Although the best part of it? Seeing the local ads for other places. Anya... the Maroone ads, with the fans singing along to the Ghostbusters theme? They scare me. I actually got away from watching, but I saw the last ep (the Passion one). Holy CRAP, have they aged well. It's kinda funny how everyone thought they were passe because they thought it was all about shocking people, but Matt and Trey still have it in ways you can only imagine.  |

Oh, it gets worse. The Red Sox were blacked out on Extra Innings.  To be fair, they did also black out Yankees/D-Rays (we get YES) and Mets/Braves (take your pick between WPIX or TBS, depending on which team you favor), but we can't GET NESN here. Therefore, they shouldn't black it out, but blackouts are beyond the cable company's control. As for giving us NESN, well, that's all them. 'Sides, we won 4-1 and I think the Yanks were getting beat DOWN, so s'okay in the end. |

Never had them, although I might get some use from some sort of adjustment. I've a bit of a gap between my two front teeth. It's not exactly one of Strahanian proportions (watch a Campbell's Soup ad if you don't know him... he's #92 on the Giants... BLUE jersey) but it's kinda noticeable. But no one ever bothered... it adds character. |

Anyway, yes, we get digital. Except the company sucks ass. There's been a long-simmering feud because they won't shell out the money to add NESN. They were also in that spat with ESPN over prices. I could live without it, and probably will. If I can't, then I get DirecTV. Just out of principle.

Rin: I think they've only actually had 'em on once. Forgot which ep, but it was this season. I think Fight Club probably did more for them than Queer Eye. I saw a documentary on Ikea a while ago... pretty interesting, their whole backstory. Not much of a surprise that he'd be loaded. He does live a modest life, and he says his only indulgence is flowers.  They're building one nearby... they've been really committed to hiring people from the area, training them... they even advertised by setting up a room on the Green.
