I think the problem isn't that it's hard as much as it is that the game's cheap. Like, there's jumps in level 3 that you have to be at PRECISELY the right pixel to make. And I have NO idea how you beat the Clinger Winger (I think that's it) stage. The orb's just too fast, and my turning abilities aren't ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

Quickie for ya. I've got an internal Zip drive (IDE). I'm going to order a second HD (200 GB) and put it in. To make room, Zip drive go baibai. But say there's some use for it. So I might put it in an external enclosure. If there's such a beast as a USB (1.0, 2.0, I don't give a crap) or FireWire one, will it work fine? I'd think it would, just makin' sure.

Hrm. Changed it (without logging off and on) and it worked. Changed it back and it's still listing them all. The thing that gets me is that it wasn't doing this before I used it for digital camera pics. Does not appear that I can change the directory I'm using in the camera program, either.

np: New Pornographers: "Letter From An Occupant"

This is the kind of song that makes you find the band's influences, because they have some seriously fucking good taste. Three minutes and forty-four seconds of pure indie-pop creamy goodness. They're a Vancouver-area (I think) supergroup... lead singer's alt-country artist Neko Case. Probably one of the best choruses I've heard... not really because of the lyrics or anything, but the vocals, guitar... it just WORKS.

Aaaaand speaking of influences, why "Setting Sun" by the Chemical Brothers was so good: the Beatles. "Tomorrow Never Knows". You WILL go get Revolver POSTHASTE.

In other more fun political news, I was watching Govenor Mike Huckabee on CNN with Wolf Blitzer. When asked about Kerry Campaign officials' chances in Arkansas, (R) Huckabee replied they, "Would have a harder time selling Kerry than Ashlee Simpson would have selling a live album these days."

I'm certainly for Kerry and all, but damn, I like this guy. Poking fun at Ashlee Simpson's SNL lipsyncing debacle, weaving current american entertainment news into political analogies. Get this guy a desk and a microphone, he needs his own show.


You mean like Alan Keyes? Although that's more Michael Savage-style train/car/place crash (all in the same spot, mind ye) entertainment.

I think we can all agree that there's a need for massive overhauls with the US electoral system. But not simply abolishing the EC (as all the kids aren't calling it). Maybe have them decided by Congressional district, rather than state? (shrug) Then award the two bonus votes for Senators to the winner of the whole state. Believe Maine does this, and there's that initiative in Colorado.

But PREFERENTIAL VOTING, people. I'm not thrilled with Kerry, but I'm'a votin' for him because I loathe the opposition. We need more choices here.
